Question...checking into the Poly tomorrow morning then breakfast at Ohana. We have the PhotoPass+ voucher, but won't have picked up the actual card yet from a park. Would they give us the pics from Ohana if we show them the voucher or is there a place at the Poly to pick up the card or what? We are at Sea World today...

ETA - just saw that I could possibly get it exchanged at Trader Jack's after we check in? Or they would honor it at Ohana. Either way we're covered! :-)

I'm seriously thinking of giving up my BOG ADR. The menu is just not appealing, especially for my kids.

It's for 8/24 at 4:15p, 4 people. Will let you know when it's officially done.
 
I should have received Mickey mail from our TA by now for an 8/11 check in right?? This is the 2nd year I used this TA, she was great last year except for checking in at midnight to find out she didn't put in a request for a ground floor like i asked so we did not have to lug a double stroller up and down the stairs. they switched for us, but the delay in the middle of the night was not so pleasant! Not so thrilled with communication this year :/ I think next time I am cutting out the middle man and doing everything myself. We are not using ME because we are driving this time. She told me Monday she was working on getting our things to us. What exactly am I waiting for her to send?? I can't remember what we got last year besides ME info and she send cute little gifts for my kids.

I would say yes. We check-in 8/20, and we received our Mickey Mail over a week ago.
We got luggage tags and vouchers for putt-putt, the arcade, Disney Quest, and Hard Rock Cafe'.

For the two trips I've booked for our family, I did not use a TA. Back in the early 90's, my mother used a TA twice...then she realized she could do most of it herself online (even in its infancy) and get a little better of a price. For things like this, I don't like to depend on what other people thing might be good for my family.

Thanks to helpful friends on the facebook group I managed to reserve a lunch at BOG for 8/18 at 12:10. I didn't pick our meals but at least we won't have to spend a bunch of time waiting in line and I know that we'll get to eat there. Now I'm done stalking the dinner reservations. My main thing was just eating there since my girls love it so much and our friend hasn't been there before.

Still working on the remodeling project. Looks like that is going to cost us a bit more than we expected. The good news is that we're almost done with it. Still a major PITA though.

I looked into switching to Pop or YC to be part of the MB test but the wife vetoed the idea. It would've been $25 cheaper to get two rooms at Pop vs the suite at AoA and $500 more to go to YC. I like the YC room but it would only have one bathroom, which would be challenging for our travel group since we have 4 girls and 1 guy. The other thing with Pop is that we can't guarantee connecting rooms due to the number of adults we have. We can request it, but they can't guarantee it. That would be no bueno for sure. So we're sticking with AoA and we'll do MB on our next trip.

The weather is looking good for our week. Mid to upper 80's for the week. That's much better than 90s for sure! :thumbsup2

My only concern right now is our traveling companion. She's a sweetheart but a bit of a flake and I'm really hoping that she doesn't get all flighty around us and irritate my wife. :duck:

I just did this for the same reason. Plus the Time didn't work with mid day break plan.

Yes, what is the trick? I am a MB tester, so I tried to see if it was a FP+ option. Either it is different than FP+, or there were no more available on the day I wanted.

It should be the same number for everyone in the party. I got mine booked for 8/18 at 12:10-12:25. You get the choice of picking a time and your food or just the time. I just went with the time. I'm not staying at a MB testing resort either but it took my reservation number and when I logged out and logged back in it was still there. It doesn't show up in MDE and you don't get an email so take note of your time.

I'm driving, so no DME number. Every reservation number I have has letters in it.

MDE # didn't work!! 'probly 'cause it's my Disney account and the reservation is in my mother's name.
Just tried to get an account in my mom's name and it wouldn't work either.... :sad:
