Official Invite to an UnOfficial August DisBoard Meet-up!
There are at least 18 of us in the World on the 20th. Sure we all have touring plans and such, but an opportunity to meet would be fun! Epcot has EMH that night, so I figure many of us will be there. Let me know if you are interested and we can figure out a time and place.

We'll be in Epcot that day interested for a quick meet up for sure! We're lunching at Teppan Edo 1220!

We'll be there! Eating at Bistro at 7:30, and planning on staying for the night.



EXCITING NEWS! The last two days of our stay are room only at CR. I just got off the phone having applied the 30% discount, lowering our cost almost $300. Discounts are so fun!

We have an ADR in Epcot on the 20th!!

We aren't planning on being in Epcot that day, but we are staying at the BC and have hoppers, so we might be able to make it. Were you thinking late at night or during the day sometime? If it's mid-day I could run over if we are taking a break at the hotel, if later at night we could run over as well.

Last week-ers - we are there until the 27th, so lmk if you plan something early that week.

We will be in Epcot with a ADR at Garden Grill that evening. Can't eat, get to DTD, then make it back in time for fireworks. Sorry!!

I hope u can get a BOG ADR when my 45 day mark hits. That would be out last ADR to get.

I'm trying for an earlier BOG ADR. I have one for 9:30 on 8/10, but if I can snag an earlier time, I'm going to try. 9:30 is REALLY late for us to eat.

I hope we get to see you while we're down there too!!!

Me too!! It's like fate or something! Hehehe. Both in IL, both with sons named Joshua, and both at WDW at the same time!! ;-)

Ok, I was going to quote all the updates I had made but seeing that I made it thru 90 pages today that would be a bit much

I have added and changed everything I could so please look over things and make sure I got them right. I havent gotten to the PM's yet so if there were changes sent to me that way then they arent done. I hope to be fully caught up by tomorrow

Reading thru the posts has made me so very happy, Team August has become a wonderful group of friends

Hilton Grand Vacations at Sea World so we have the free front of the line passes!!

I think we're going to skip the dine with Shamu this time around...but we do have the all day dining added to our tickets!

HGVC looks AWESOME! I hope you post pics of your room and the resort over on the SW board after your stay. Its been on our radar for our SW trips in the past and would love to hear about your experience there!

The SW all-day dining is fabulous. My two guys definitely get the most out of the plan .

Will be nice for you to have the option of washing up all your laundry before you move over to CBR . Love having the bonus of in-room laundry facilities!

I love Team August! I loved it last year too! I wonder what it is about people willing to go to Disney in August? We're all a little crazy I think.

I just called and dropped the preferred location room down to a standard at CBR. I put requests in for relatively close buildings. I just couldn't spare the extra $212 for preferred when I realized that was all of our tip money or a decently priced rental car. I am feeling good about it. I still wouldn't mind staying at AKL but I have to keep in mind we have WL booked for December and that I need to rope this in. CBR looks so pretty too!!

We're stay at CBR as well and I asked for a standard because we want connecting rooms for the 5 of us (think we might have a better chance this way) and because we don't mind walking 5 or 10 min to the pool or the main building. Looks like a lovely resort...it would have been nice if they'd have queen size beds but they didn't have those at POR when we stayed there two years ago and we lived. Kids will all have their own beds so just DH and I who will be squashed. Not sure how much cuddling we want to do in that florida heat.

Almost moved sea world to after Disney for laundry purposes, but DH looked at me like I'd grown 3 heads and stated we couldn't end the vacation with Sea World. Breakfast at Chef Mickey's it is instead!

The offer was actually on the Hilton site itself. During the week, if you stayed 2 nights you'd get the free upgrade. But payment was due at time of booking. Thought I'd have to make another reservation and wait a month before the refund would go through AND it would be minus a change fee. BUT I called and they changed it without any other fees or anything! Woohoo!
