What is a bounce back?


Anyone else driving? We keep going back and forth with to drive or not to drive? Have a list of pros and cons for both but mainly, the con- CT to FL with two toddlers?!?!? Is there any amount of savings worth this kind of possible.....probable....torture?!?!

Sorry to be a pain, but we just changed our dates! Got a great airfare rate through AirTran - we normally drive, but DH can only join us for part of the vacation, and I wasn't sure about doing that long drive on my own (although DS will be 16 by then - not sure I'm comfortable with him doing highway driving two weeks after his birthday ).

Sooo, now we're planning 8/13-8/17 at CSR and 8/17-8/20 at Poly. Haven't actually booked them yet, cause I'm hoping for a pin or R/O discount to come out. I did book my dining ressies though....

A bounce back is an offer you can take advantage of when you are staying on property and book a future vacation before you leave. If one is being offered during your stay there will be a card explaining it in your hotel room.

As for your other question....we always fly so I would say no to driving lol. But flying with two toddlers may not be a picnic either...the torture is just over faster lol.

Ha we did the flight WITH other family to help last summer and Oh my- the torture!! But much faster, nevertheless. Also more expensive now that we have to pay for the 2yo. Guess we will watch the fares and see!

So tomorrow is the day, 180+10 and I'm so worried about not getting all the dining reservations we want, from what I've seen around the boards BOG is almost impossible. I wanted it for the 2nd day of our trip, so I will try to call tomorrow morning at 7, but I will be online at 6 to try there too, wish me luck!!!!!!!!!!!!

My 180+10 is Saturday, and luckily, or unluckily as it may be my TA is going to be able to do my ADRs so I don't have to deal with THAT frustration.

Well I called for my ADR's yesterday. We got everything we wanted with just a little bit of a time change.

8/19 6:15 Hoop Dee Doo Review My boys are 23 & 17 they really wanted to do this again
8/20 6:20 Artist Point to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We wanted to do California Grille but we all know that story
8/21 5:00 Beirgarten to celebrate my older son's 24 birthday which is a little over a month later
8/22 4:45 Be Our Guest This is the one my husband and I are looking forward to. Lisa, my ADR guru yesterday. Says it's really great.
8/23 7:30 Raglan Road.. we love this place. My younger son, Patrick, will be 18 a month later, so this is his celebration dinner.
8/24 2:00 Via Napoli As a long islander I can tell you this is really good pizza. My husband and I were shocked at how good it is.
8/25 No plans. I figure we will to full to eat at this point. We don't even have a park planned. My older son hasn't been since 2006 it will be his choice.
8/26 12:00 Rose and Crown It's our last day. We always head to EPCOT so I can see Off Kilter one last time. Normally we have wurst in Germany but since we are going to the Beirgarten earlier in the week. We'll go to England. We will start in Mexico, walk around.... stop for an Altenmunster (sp?) in Germany then head over to Rose & Crown for a reuben and a hard cider. Then head back to our beloved VWL to catch ME. POOP I'm sad just writing it. Oy.

I see that so differently. I would rather make my ADR's myself. I have the control. If something isn't available then I make the changes right there and then. I used a TA once and decided never again. I realized I'm a control freak. I want, what I want, when I want it so I just do it myself

I had no trouble at all and I didn't call until 4pm. My biggest problem (which wasn't one) was I wanted Rose & Crown at 11:30 and couldn't get it until 12 and Artist Point I wanted 7 and got 6:20. Hardly a hardship. Good luck, let us know how you do!

I think if it's your second day, you should be OK. Definitely book that one first. I'd also have a backup day, especially of it's on a weekend. We just booked our ADRs and got BOG for our second day. Good luck!

Ya Know, I was just thinking that I never checked the Disney sight for EMHs before I booked my ADRs, I just went with the TA calendar we had a link to some time ago. Dang if it's wrong I don't even want to know now.
ADRs are made and that's that. I have to stop second thinking everything. Maybe it's just that all I have left to do is wait 178 days, and that never seemed longer than it does now.

Good luck!! Don't stress too much if you don't get everything you want. I think you will be ok though. I was able to get everything on the day I wanted (including BOG), I just had to compromise on some times. But I am going to start checking the website to see what opens up. So many people go nuts at the 180 day and then rethink it when they look over their plans or if a FD deal is not announced. In fact, since it does not look like FD is going to be offered this year, I have a feeling a lot of places will have openings come summer.

I think I would stress out not being in control. Did you give your TA back-up plans or if something isn't available does she just not book it? I did use a TA this trip (***) but I am glad I can access my reservations on MDE and was able to make all my ADRs.

We have a lot of similar ADRs for the same week, but on different days. And my boys really want to do HDDR this trip too lol.

I can totally relate! I booked through Expedia once and that was awful. It was a very last minute trip (as in planned a week or so before we went at Thanksgiving) and they had a great deal. But what a nightmare because I couldn't access my reservations online. But this time I am using *** for the August discount, but the confirmation numbers they gave me are accessible. I have been able to see my reservation, book DME, booked and linked all my ADRs etc.

Don't worry - they haven't changed. And I know I'm going crazy wanting to plan more, but there's not much left to do!

I understand, just called and got BOG for the 22nd, couldn't accept not eating there, or the chance that maybe a ressie might possibly open up if I was lucky enough to be online at that moment.
Time with your friends though, equally hard to pass up.

DH & I talked about our reservations tonight, which is amazing in and of itself as normally as long as I have his wants covered he's good, and decided that seeing our friends was far more important than exactly where we ate. As much as it pains me to cancel a great reservation time at BOG, I know that our next trip they won't be there so we can surely squeeze it in then and maybe by then youngest DS will eat more than chicken nuggets and french fries! In all seriousness it will mean a lot to spend time with them and the easiest thing to do seems to be the dinner. Now I'm wondering if I should try for one reservation for 8 vs. the two reservations of 4 at CRT?

We added a day We booked our return flight yesterday since the prices went down a bit and decided to take the 2:15 flight the next day to get some more Disney time We will need to switch hotels for the last day, which is fine with me We're making the move to AOA LM! We'll spend the last morning hanging out the hotel and using the pool Yeah!!!!! Our new dates are Aug 7-14 at BWV and Aug 14-15 at AOA LM!

Well, most ADRs are done and pretty much got what we wanted, except BOG. There is good news though, it is NOT sold out, the CSR told me that they are having a problem with that week, it was released and then taken back so they are not able to pull it up. She said to keep trying online and it should be ok. I could not get HDDR or Brown Derby Fantasmic online but got them when I called. I did use the iPad and was able to book online past the first day.

Yes, we will be in the parks on 8/28, we will have been to all parks at least twice, and we have Hoppers so we are open to anywhere, we leave on 8/29, that is a no park day and our flight is around 1:00pm

Hi! I'm happy to say I got all the ADRs I was looking for by calling on the morning of the 180 days...website would not let me book the +10 but phone was fine! I will list them all later when I look back at the list...it's all a blur right now!

On the subject of EMH, my only worry is this...I purposely booked CP before opening on a regular opening day at MK. This is so we can run(walk with purpose) directly to ETWB at RD! Has anyone had the experience where they change the opening to an earlier time?
