“IT’S OUR MOTHER DAUGHTER TRIP!” Our Spontaneous Getaway - April 2011 COMPLETE 9/13

Wow the Flower and Garden toparies are gorgeous, I can see why it takes them so long to prepare for it.

I love the pic of you in front of the Beauty and the Beast one and that's so cool that you saw it inside the greenhouse on that tour :goodvibes

Oh vey, 2 updates!

LOL about being picky about Mission: SPACE being centered in the background. It's a good picture too :)

The Bambi topiarys are ADORABLE! I feel like the topiarries (i give up on spelling that correctly) are out all year long, but I've never noticed them. So probably not. Hahaha.

TWINNINGS <3 <3 <3

Your Mom is so cute :) I think she and my mother would get along so well.

Poor Sleeping Beauty :( Oh the hard life of being a Disney Princess....... :lmao:

Can't wait for more!

just joined disboards yesterday! Stumbled across it while planning and googling a 2012 trip for my 5 year old son. I'm a young mom (22) who still is inlove with princesses and probably will have to enjoy it for his sole benefit since it will be his first time ever SO I have been living and reading through your trip reports all day (talk about a frump!!!! :lmao:) - as if i have nothing better to do!!!

I haven't been since I was 8... LONG LONG time. Hopefully I will be able to take my son more regularly as he grows up!!

Enjoyed your other reports - just starting this one!! You are great!!! :thumbsup2

Joining in and catching up.
10 minute wait for Mickey and Minnie on your first day score factor! Shortest I ever got was 20 minutes for Mickey mouse me thinks! That dude is a popular mouse!!! :goodvibes

I was looking at your prom update.. Luv your dress.. You looked very pretty done up for prom.

hahaha at Fountain of Nations I did not know it was called that I just call it Epcot Fountain! :rotfl: I also want one of the spinny things in your Epcot pics.. Oh lordy I want so much this trip I'll need to bring two suitcases haha

I also love the dress you bought in Epcot

I'm loving all the Flower and Garden pictures! They make me even more excited for my March trip!

I've been following along on this TR and decided to de-lurk ;) and I also just finished reading your "Frumpin around the world" TR. You girls had a lot of fun on that trip.

Can't wait to hear about the rest of your mother-daughter trip. :goodvibes

Haha oh me too! I 100% agree with that statement!
And oh yes you should try to! We used Mothers Day and My Birthday as our excuse for this trip!
And I don't have the Toy Story 3 game for wii! But really?! That's so funny! I would have done the same thing!

Oh my gosh! I'm glad to know I'm not the only one. Last Thursday when we were on the bus to Epcot, the driver was handing out these "Wild About Safety" cards with Timon and Pumba on them, you know like the ads on the buses? And I didn't get one. :( He kept saying "save them for the kids" which made me feel bad because I'm only 14! And plus, I had gotten one the day before. :confused3 My mom said I probably aged overnight. :lmao:

Aww that's so fun. :goodvibes My birthday is October 5th so it's kind of a weird time for a trip, but my mom said we might be able to do it if it's on a weekend. Turns out my 16th birthday next year is on a Friday. I hope it happens!

Ahaha yep! It was so unexpected.

Of course all of those flower pics are gorgeous. So vibrant and full of color. I love that you mentioned the back area of the UK pavilion. I remember that my DD and I went around and knocked on some of the doors just to see if anyone was there. She thought we were looking for Alice since we were waiting to meet her. ;)

Hi!:) I'm just joining in! Going back to read now. I would love to do a mother-daughter trip to DW!

Oddness I posted the other day and your thread never made it to my posts for me to watch for updates so trying again :goodvibes

More great F&G Festival pictures! Those flowers are so beautiful.

I'm glad Aurora's dress got de-bugged. That sounds kind of gross.

I just came across your trip report. I have read your other two as well (though, I don't remember if I posted on them or not). Looks like you and Mother are having a wonderful time! I can't wait to read more.

Woohoo!
And thank you! haha I turn into quite the photographer in Disney :lmao:
Some topiaries are out all year long! But the majority of the ones I have pictures of in this TR are not. They're pretty though.
And I agree.. our Moms would definitely get along!! They're going to have to meet soon!
And I know, right? :lmao:

Thanks for being here! And I know, right?! Pretty awesome! Whenever I see 10 minutes for Mickey I jump right in line! I think people sometimes miss that greeting area because it's right in the beginning of the park.
And aww thank you!
Haha yup, that's what it's called! And haha bringing an extra suitcase is always a fantastic idea :thumbsup2

That'd be so much FUN! I hope you get to go!

Thank you! I love taking Disney pictures of everythinggg... especially pretty flowers! Isn't that a precious area? Aww that's a cute story! She's adorable!

Welcome, Welcome! I hope you enjoy! And aww I hope you get to!

Oddness I posted the other day and your thread never made it to my posts for me to watch for updates so trying again :goodvibes

Aww I hope it's there now! I think you have to subscribe to it... which is under thread tools!

More great F&G Festival pictures! Those flowers are so beautiful.

I'm glad Aurora's dress got de-bugged. That sounds kind of gross.

Welcome! I'm glad you're here! We had a great time... and I'll update soon!

So... you all know how Kristen is in Disney World right now?

Well...............

I just got back from a trip to Disney yesterday, too!! (:

YUP that's right, you heard me! THE FRUMPS WERE JUST IN DISNEY WORLD TOGETHER FOR THE PAST 6 DAYS! I couldn't say anything because this was a complete surprise!

We had an AMAZING time... and I am very excited to start the trip report for that one! However, I think I really should try to finish up this TR first... as much as I really want to jump ahead! Sorry to make you all wait for details on the most recent trip... but it's gonna be a great TR! It'll be worth the wait!

So that's my little surprise for you all today! (I'm just the surprise queen over here!) As for now... onto the update!

Chapter 13 - Meeting My Man
April 9th, 2011

For some reason in the last update, this picture was not uploaded or included! But I think that it is necessary to add in now:

dsc0937l.jpg

They had William and Kate merchandise in the United Kingdom! So funny! They had these mugs as well as a few other items. I just thought they were really cute. even though I wasn't super into the wedding... I'm glad they were recognized the current event!

I checked Mobile Magic and decided that it was about time to head over to Morocco!

dsc0945o.jpg

dsc0946x.jpg

Our important task there was lining up to meet my favorite Disney character of all time.... (:

dsc0947m.jpg

EEEEEEEEEE so excited :)

dsc0948p.jpg

We got in the line that was already forming and my Mom struck up a conversation with this Dad and his daughter, who was an energetic 10 year old. Her name was Faith. I was sitting on a bench nearby catching up in my trip journal, and Faith came up to me and was like "are you a Disney freak too!?" I was like, "well yes I am!"

So of course, we had plenty to talk about! I expressed my feelings to her about Tiana not being a princess (but for the record, I love Tiana now. She's still not a classic princess... but her movie is FANTASTIC!)

Faith asked me if I wanted to do the College Program, and I, of course, said yes. I found out they were staying at Kidani Village as well. They told us we should definitely eat at Sanaa because it was amazing!! Thanks for the tip, guys!

They were D23 members, which is something I never really read into. However, the Dad was telling us all about the events and special things that are offered through the club. Maybe one day I'll look into it!

They lived in Florida and the Dad surprised his daughter and took her to Disney for the weekend! She was SO happy and they had just gotten there! Surprise trips are the best, aren't they?? ;)

Faith was a bigger Disney freak than I am... and she's only 10! Just wait till she's my age... LOL.

They also liked my dress and the Dad told me he thought I could be a princess! Thank you, kind sir!

After our lovely conversation, Aladdin came outside! And.... JASMINE WASN'T THERE! Guess I would have to take her place.... (:

dsc0951g.jpg

It was the same Aladdin that I met in February.... eeee I love this one! He's so cute! He was much more talkative today than he was in February!

dsc0950k.jpg

Aladdin asked me if I had been to the Marketplace before and where I was from. He told me to put my hands on his shoulder and point my toe for the picture "just like Jasmine." :cloud9: I just loved him.

dsc0952n.jpg

dsc09532q.jpg

After our wonderful meet and greet, we said goodbye to Faith and her Dad. She told us she wished we could have hung out longer because she finally found someone who was as obsessed with Disney as she was. Haha what an angel!

We parted ways and continued on to look at more topiaries! Such as these Mickey and Minnie ones that were in the American Adventure Pavilion:

dsc0954r.jpg

And Donald, Goofy, and Pluto!

dsc0956i.jpg

The little American Marching Band went by while we were looking at the Topiaries.

dsc0958z.jpg

Here's a crowd picture - there was no one there!! It was fantastic.

dsc0959u.jpg

Then we made our way over to the Lady and the Tramp topiaries... they were SO cute! Lady and the Tramp was one of those movies I had on repeat when I was a little kid.

dsc0961h.jpg

Then we went into the Carmel Shop in Germany... that was my first experience in there!

dsc0963h.jpg

dsc0964j.jpg

We got the classic Chocolate Covered Strawberries drizzled with Carmel! They were so expensive... but they were sooo good! I would feel better if I used a snack credit on them. (if you even can?)

dsc0965co.jpg

YUM! While we were in Germany, we stopped by to say hi to Snow White!

dsc0966g.jpg

And we saw all of the Snow White and the 7 Dwarves Topiaries!

dsc0968c.jpg

dsc0969t.jpg

They were too cute!
