Nothing worse than when a restaurant makes a pretty big mistake and offers no apology. All it takes is a "sorry about that! Our bad!"

That wait at EoS is just ridiculous! I don't blame you for not wanting to run right back again. However, I would like to think your experience was far from the norm. We have gotten in LONG lines there, but it always moves quickly, and once you have paid it's usually not a long wait for the food to be ready. But then to go to WoD and not find 2013 snow globes?? What a disastrous DTD day!!

I'm glad the turtle made it across the road okay.

Haha, it was just not my day. But it got MUCH better.
I'm certain my EoS was the vast exception so I'm sure I will return.
And darn those sold out snow globes. Granted I finally did get it, but while the price was the same online, it cost twice that just to ship it to Canada. So, I decided I may as well get a few more items.

Day 4 – April 30, 2013 Part 3


I know I've been teasing a bit with "cliffhangers" in regards to the title of this day, and I PROMISE it's coming, but in the meantime...

I interrupt this Trip Report to bring you the following...

I stayed back at Pop for a little bit just to give my aching feet a rest.

I’ve always been a go-go-go type at Disney, but I never realized how much having someone with me keeps me a bit in check.

Being alone, I was full out constantly, barely stopping to even sit down.
Now my feet were beginning to feel it.

After a bit of a rest and a change into my new shirt,

"Por Favor Mantengase Alejado De Mis Vacaciones!!"

I was back out and off to Magic Kingdom.

I posted on Facebook:
"Headed to Magic Kingdom for Wishes… Take 2. Fingers crossed."

I arrived at the Kingdom in short order, and noticing that the line for Mickey was short, I figured I would jump in.

He was adamant that we do an arms crossed pose.
I wanted not to so as to not block my newly acquired “Please Stand Clear of my Vacation” shirt.

He won.

I actually thought he was in a different outfit for this meet, but no big deal.

Since tonight was all about Wishes, I had no real agenda, so I just basically wandered.

When I arrived at the castle, I decided to get artsy.

My God I love that castle.

After passing though the castle, I made my way over to New Fantasyland.

When I arrived in front of the Little Mermaid, the short wait time made deciding to ride pretty easy.

The queue was a gorgeous as ever. It's unreal really.

Unfortunately, this ride had one of those obnoxious/annoying groups, who proceeded to chant and scream throughout the queue.

There was a young couple that was a bit in front of me who actually stepped aside to let people pass so as to distance themselves from this annoying group.

When I passed the couple again, the guy smiled and leaned over to me and said,
“Can we give them some valium or something?”

To which I replied,

“I was thinking arsenic!”

They proceeded to chant a bit at the beginning of the ride, but thankfully settled down a bit as the ride progressed, as I think some people finally told them to shut up.

All in all, not the best ride experience, but I guess it could have been worse.

Day 4 – April 30, 2013 Part 3 Cont.


From here I headed towards the other side of the park, taking some time to view the new Rapunzel washrooms.

Hidden charging station…

I know many look at this as just "bathrooms".

But it's not.

It is a fully immersive area with detail that only Disney can do that just happens to have bathrooms.

It's stunning!

Since I still had some time before I needed to get back to Main Street for Wishes,
I figured I may as well get in another ride on Splash.

'Cuz, you know... It's Splash!

This turned out to be one of my favourite ride photos.
The entire rest of the log were all together, and I ran into them in the line buying the photo.
They all got such a kick out of how all of them are screaming, and then there’s me in the back…

Livin’ It Up and Lovin' That Feelin'!

It’s pretty cool to think that somewhere this photo might be on this family’s mantle or wall.
It’s like the ultimate photo bomb... And they PAID for it.

After adding the photo to my card, I was in need of a snack, so I stopped off here,

And got one of these,

Before continuing on to Main Street to prepare for Wishes...

... And an evening that will forever be etched in my Disney memories.

So there I was eating my soft serve and I got a killer brain freeze. Alas, who should notice my distress but finned Ariel! She sent out a distress signal on my behalf and all the princesses came to my aid. Seeing as how Wishes was starting shortly, they invited me to view the show from their top secret VIP viewing area.... they were swell! The End.

Ugh! to loud, annoying, obnoxious groups in queue lines. I do love finding like-minded people in those situations though. Somehow the presence of another person makes the situation tip to more funny than annoying.

Rob's magical evening:
I was sitting on the curb on Main St. ready to watch Wishes, eating my snack when someone asked me to move. I looked up at a film crew with official Disney shirts on so I got up to move somewhere else. Then, from behind a crowd she came, posed in front of the camera to get ready to say her part. She was just as perky as she is on the Disney TVs. She spotted me moving away and asked my name. She gave me a hug and the above signed picture and thanked me for being so patient with the Must-Do-Crew. Then Stacey invited me to watch Wishes with her! It was swell! The End.
