THE MOST EMOTIONAL, MEMORABLE, UNBELIEVEABLY WONDERFUL,
PERFECTLY MAGICAL MOMENT IN TIME... EVER!
Day 4 April 30, 2013 Part 2
I still had about a half hour before my Toy Story passes could be used, so I just sort of wandered.
On my wandering, I found myself outside the Muppet Theatre.

I really wasnt feeling another show just now, but there was one thing I was feeling just inside the entrance

I finally got this photo after years of forgetting!

I decided to ride Start Tours since the wait was short, and YAY, I got the Wookie scene.
This one is so good and funny. I just love it.
Anything other than the Pod Race though and Im good.
Afterwards, I briefly watched some young Padawans fight the Dark side

OK Seriously Dude
Do you think its a good idea to hold a light saber like that???
And youre the one teaching these kids.

No wonder the Jedi almost went extinct.
After watching the genius teacher almost cutting one young girl in half ,
And following that by basically cutting his own hand off,
My Toy Story passes were ready for use.
The queue here is truly spectacular.
Plus, being less than 3, I got to use the famous "blue gate".

OK, so my score wasnt great, as my goal was to break 200K.
However, in my defence, one of my screens (the one where you toss the hoops over their heads), did not display in 3D for me.
So I had absolutely no idea what was happening as it was just a blurry mess.
Now, Im not saying I would have broken the 200K goal if this screen had been working but
Ok thats exactly what Im saying.
Even though I didnt beat my goal, I had fun anyway, and isnt that really what its all about?
Before leaving, I wanted to get one more ToT ride in, which I did, but this is also the other ride photo that I was unable to get due to idiots.
So, that out of the way, I made my way out of the park and sped off to Downtown Disney.
It was mid afternoon at this point so I was getting a little hungry.
So I decided on a place I (shockingly) had never eaten before

I had heard amazing things about this place, so I was eager to try it.
I got into the line; placed my order; was handed a pager; continued on in the line; ordered a frozen lemonade; got my frozen lemonade; paid; and then moved to the side to await the ringing of the pager.
And wait.
And wait.
And wait.
People were coming to and fro with ringing pagers and picking up their food while I stood there waiting.
I asked a gentleman who had gotten his order how long it took.
His reply was about 4 minutes.
So I said, Oh ok. So 20 minutes would be a long time then, right?
Seriously, I stood there for 20 minutes and nothing.
So I asked one of the folks working and showed him my receipt.
He went away for a minute and then returned to tell me it would be along shortly.
So basically... THEY LOST MY SANDWICH!!!!!!
Eventually I did get my sandwich, and while no one was rude, they didnt seem too apologetic either.
So I took my sandwich and my mostly finished frozen lemonade outside to enjoy in the sun.

The verdict? The sandwich itself was fantastic.
Will I return.? Thats debatable.
You only have one chance at a first impression, and from a service standpoint, that impression was not good.
Anyway, I was refilled so I continued on my mission which would take place here

I had a few items I was after, but the main item was a 2013 mini Snow Globe.
Ive been collecting these for a few years, so I wanted to make sure I got this before I left.
I came to World of Disney because I couldnt find it in any of the other stores Id looked in.
The first place I went to was the Information Desk.
At first, the gentleman told me they didnt make one this year.
I knew this was incorrect as Id seen photos of it online
He checked his computer and verified that, yes indeed, they did make one this year,
But they were completely sold out on property.
This was April 30.
Last year I ran into the exact same problem for the 2012 snow globe as it was completely sold out in October and they were not bringing any more in.
Thankfully the one I got in Disneyland last year was identical (except for the park name on it).
So to me this sounds like it just might be a somewhat popular item.
How about maybe ORDERING MORE!!!!!!!!
Anyway, I did not get my snow globe at this time.
I am happy to say that I was finally able to purchase it at the Disney Store online recently (They were sold out online as well for a while).
So, I do now have my 2013 snow globe along with some other stuff too.

At the time though, I DID buy a shirt and hat with my ANNUAL PASS!!! discount.
I also picked up a set of Mickey Ears for my co-worker, Rachel, since she had mentioned to me that these were something she always wanted.
I was surprised to find out, though, that they dont do the engraving in World of Disney!
So after purchasing, I hoofed it all the way to the very end of Downtown Disney and got the ears engraved.
I was a little bit out of sorts due my less than awesome Downtown Disney experience.
I pulled out of the parking lot to make my way back to POP when , coming up to a set of lights, I spotted a turtle making his way across the busy road.
We're talking like six or eight lanes of road here.
I wanted to immediately stop the car, jump out and rescue this poor creature.
Unfortunately with this stretch of road, the headline would have read,
"Twenty car pile up outside Downtown Disney caused by idiot trying to rescue turtle.
Lack of snow globes blamed for his stupidity."
Thankfully all the other cars noticed this turtle crossing as well and slowed down or stopped long enough to let him pass.
When the turtle recognized the volume of automobiles in his path, he turned on the overdrive, hoisted himself up, and booked.
Trust me when I tell you that this guy would have left the hare in his dust.
He was motorin'.
I had no idea a turtle could move like that, but apparently they can.

After making sure he made his way safely across, I went back to POP to regroup before setting out for the evening.
Little did I know that I was about to have one of my most memorable nights in Disney
Ever.
