Thomas cut his first tooth yesterday! My baby is growing too fast!
This can't be. It was just yesterday that he was born. Wow, they grow so fast. Good luck with the teething.
Kyle's interview was just "OK". He said they had 50 applicants for one position and it was pretty clear to him they were looking for someone with some "office" experience which he doesn't have. He will probably join the masses applying all over the Baton Rouge area.
Good luck to Kyle for the job hunt and also for him walking on. Wow, that is just great. More power to him. I hope he blows them all away.
WFD- beer can roasted chicken, spanish rice, and peas.
Would you please share your recipe with me. I haven't ever heard of this until the other day. I would love to try it.
Good early morning! I'm trying to get myself in the habit of getting up early! It's not fun, but I do find I have some time to do some recreational reading if I get up even half an hour before the kids do.
We are leaving for my dad's house as soon as Alan gets home from work tonight. Between 7:30 and 8:00 tonight. It will mean a late night of traveling, but hopefully, the kids will sleep some of the way. Tomorrow morning, the theater company is performing a "reading" of a play that my dad has written, called "Nell Gwynn". He's so excited. He's been working on it for years, and this year they are testing it in front of an audience. I am so happy he's found something to help him with the loneliness he's felt since mom died.
Safe travels my friend. That is just awsome for your Dad. I would love to be at the reading. Please let us know how it goes.
Morning all! Well the first day of carpool didn't go as planned. Par for the course, I suppose. I went to pick up the 2 boys, 1 of which is in emma's class. Well, the one boy in Emma's class threw a fit and wouldn't get in my car. His mom was all out wrestling with him and couldn't get him in. So, she ended up taking the kids this morning. I felt so bad for her b/c she was not at all prepared to schlep the kids to school. I'll try again tomorrow.
Okay, well I had promised Matthew that we would go to target after dropping the kids at school. And even though I didn't take anyone to school today, I still am bound by my statement. What is it with kids? They don't forget anything, except to clean rooms, brush hair/teeth, etc.......
I hope your day gets better. You tried and that's all you can do. I hope Matthew has fun shopping. I love Target!!
Nan ~ I hope you get to go to the movie tonight. Whatever you do I am sure you will have a ball with your girl. Good times.
Bethany ~ What a great way to start the first day of school for the little ones. BTW - Ethan is doing great now. No more tears. I am so glad you are liking your new job, you so deserved it.
Gretchen ~ thinking of you today, my friend
Ann ~ good deals. I love saving money. WooHoo!!!
Robin ~
Janice ~ I loved the Grands Taco melt idea. I think I will do it your way though. Much easier. Thanks!!
Sheryl ~ I am so glad you got a good report at the Doctors. How are you feeling though? Really?? You do so much that I really wonder how you are doing.
Ok I hope I haven't forgotten someone. If I have please forgive me. Hugs to you all!!
Wow, getting back into the hang of just cooking for two is tough. But I am trying to package all of the leftovers to send back to school with Matthew on the weekend. Because we all know Doug DOESN'T DO leftovers. Heaven forbid!!
We are getting the best and most huge tomatoes out of the garden. One slice will cover the whole piece of bread. So with that being said. . .
WFDT ~ B (turkey bacon) L T's, macaronni salad with some chips. Doug is going golfing tonight - all by himself
(well he will have only a 3some) so I am on my own.
Make it a great day my friends.
