    Therapeutic Boarding Schools

Truth be told, if the discipline wasn't there in the early stages/growing up, no amount of "therapeutic reform school", counseling, living with another family member is going to help. I would opt for spending time in juvie or maybe a "scared straight" encounter, but I don't believe those work in...

So excited about Trails End tomorrow!!

Size was the buffet itself is not anything like a Golden Corral or Boma or even H&V but to me that means the food is better and fresher. I'm jealous as that was our favorite out of all the table service restaurants (first time for those!) and we tried trails end, liberty tree tavern, Biergarten...

So excited about Trails End tomorrow!!

We haven't been to 50s prime time, but according to my mom Trail's End chicken is the best she's EVER had anywhere, including that made by family members. I have to say their ribs were my favorite of ANY ribs I have ever had. It is such a relaxing place too. After we ate we sat in the loungers...

I wonder if Pete (and others) have changed their minds?

Truth be told, I'm more surprised they still have smoking sections. It seems to me people I know would rather alcohol be allowed everywhere but not smoking. I'd rather be around a sober person with a cigarette/cigar/etc than a blathering drunkard. But I do enjoy a nice fruity adult beverage at...

Have you ever had a "It's a small world" experience at WDW?

Does it count if I had the opposite? Friend and his family were scheduled to be at Disney same time as my family so we had a "let's see how many times we see each other" contest. We NEVER saw each other! Even when we were in the same parks on the same day or in MK late at night!

Do any of the WDW resorts......

There are 3 women and 1 guy. Doing that works out great for 3 women splitting the cost of 1 room and hurts the guy with 1 room. If you divide the entire cost of 2 rooms by 4 people that isn't very fair to the 3 women sharing beds and what not. There's a resort we have stayed at when chaperoning...

Do any of the WDW resorts......

That's what I just saw. That's unreasonable for our trip. 4 friends going without their spouses but uncomfortable to sleep guys and girls in same beds and room. Guess we will have to go offsite to keep costs how we want it.

Do any of the WDW resorts......

So that means you either have to be a doc member or buy points from someone?

Do any of the WDW resorts......

Have a 2 or 3 bedroom suite. Not just room to sleep that many people. I mean separate bedrooms with a door.

    Grey Anatomy

I think I quit watching when the bed-hopping got too crazy and they brought in Meredith's sister. Plus did anyone else think they amped up the ahem "romantic scenes" around the time Callie became a lesbian? I don't mean just them, it was like the storyline to a twist more geared towards porn. I...

    Dole Whip overrated!

I skipped the dole whip and went straight for the hard stuff. Poor guy sitting across from me ogling it and asked what it was. He said he wished he could have one but was diabetic and it was tooooo much for him. It was so hard to keep from saying "nah go for it, all the cool kids are doing it"

    Selling plasma

Hmmmmm did I anywhere ever mention I wanted my blood for free??? NOPE!!! If people would actually read the words instead of implying what they want it to mean, they would see I think people that donate should be paid a portion. As for knowing that there are nurses and what not that process the...

    Selling plasma

I don't see a problem with it though it does creep me out (but needles, hospitals, etc all do). I just wish they paid the equivalent for what it costs someone to receive it. I had to,receive 3 pints after an emergency 2 years ago and it was $500 per pint. That was the cost of blood only, not the...

    Shoes for Disney?!

I have these Skechers and they were wonderful for Disney. http://www.skechers.com/style/12101/skech-air-2-0/bkhp In March 2014 I took what I considered to be my 3 most comfortable pairs of shoes: Sperry, Vans lace up sneakers, and a pair of yellow box flips pops. My feet hurt horribly and I...

Catcher in the Rye...is this still controversial?

Did anyone or their kids have to read "Alas Babylon" ? It is my favorite book to this day?

Letting my 12-year-old have a little "independent " time in each land?

I think it sounds like a great idea. Where I work, junior high (6th-8th grade) take a trip to six flags. We get there and they are turned lose with the exception of a 3 pm check in mid-day. With the high school, every so often we take kids to wdw and universal and turn them lose. They can go to...

Where to get cheap (like $1) Disney reusable bags?

Do you have aDollar Tree? If not there is dollar tree online but you can't purchased items individually. I was there the other day and they had the laminated feel bags and some had Mickey on them. They also had all kinds of other neat Disney stuff. I got a little water bottle (more like a water...

At what age do you stop taking your adult child on vacation?

Thanks! I'm not into country music or the outdoor type (fishing, boating, hiking, etc) and none of us golf. I've been looking into mini golf though! Mom and I are more shopping, eating, museum stuff. We rotate who picks each year. 2 years ago mom picked Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama for...
