    Facebook Blackmail

Those "amen" posts are part of like-farming, which is a total scam. You put "amen" in the comments, as do several thousands, some share the photo, some like the page, it goes viral around FB and eventually whoever owns that account, let's say, Joe Bob sells his page to some sort of business...

    Magical Character Interactions

My DD (then 3) and I went to the afternoon tea on the Fantasy back in February. After the initial meets and photos, Tiana was standing behind our table waiting for Cinderella and Belle to finish chatting to everyone. I told my DD to go say hi to her and that turned into a 5min one-on-one...

    Top 5 Greatest Athletes ever

Totally subjective, but... 1. Wayne Gretzky 2. Kobe Bryant 3. Toller Cranston 4. Muhammed Ali 5. Serena Williams

    Italy trip....advice welcome

Everyone I knew that had been to Venice had disliked it so I went (2013) there with very low expectations...and I LOVED it. I desperately want to go back! If you go there, a great way to get canal photos and do some island hopping is to buy a 12 (or 24) hour pass on the aqua busses and just...

    High Speed Rail to Dover

Person who lives in Folkestone here! I'm not 100% which side you catch the replacement bus from, but I can find out. If it's from the Platform 1 side (TO London) that would mean getting luggage down a flight of stairs, through a quick tunnel and then up a flight of stairs). My DH takes the...

What are your kids must do's?

My 10 year old DS seemed to be most happy just relaxing on our last cruise - hanging with family (lots of extended family all together), eating, swimming, etc. My almost 9 year old DS spent as much time as possible in the Kids Club, and won the Piston Cup Challenge :) We gave him an old iPhone...

    London stay before cruise

London attractions are so spread out that there's not a single "close to everything" so if being right near specific attractions is key, pick which ones you're after. The underground is pretty easy to navigate and use (and my almost 4 year old DD loves going on the tube!). I really like...

    tortola beach day

My family went to Cane Garden back in February on our own. There were signs at the port directing you to the taxis, once there one man asked where we wanted to go, we said Cane Garden and we were directed to a driver and his open-air taxi. They wait to full them (5 people per row, 5 rows) but...

    Beer carry on question

My brothers and DH were involved in a beer exchange on board the Fantasy in Feb. One of my brothers just didn't consider that ounces would be an issue and brought 6 x 16oz, while my other brother and DH brought 6 x 12oz. He crossed his fingers...and no issues at the port. Of course that's...

    Europe Cruise

Well I live in the UK (I'm Canadian) and I think it's about as safe as anywhere else. I firmly believe that I'm more likely to be hurt or killed driving my kids to Canterbury for gymnastics later today than being hurt in a terrorist attack, and my DH and I lived in London back on 7/7/05 (I...

3 year old in kids club

My DD 3 loved the kids club on our Fantasy cruise in February. It's true that there seems to be a lack of actual toys, but she came out almost every time with artwork (a Valentine for DH on Valentines Day, a butterfly ornament, colouring pages, etc). Several of the CM's would greet her when...

    Copenhagen, Denmark (Norway/Baltic B2B Cruise)

You forgot Copenhagen Street Food, Heather! ;) Just to chime in - Malmo, Sweden is right across the water. A 30min train ride (I can't remember the cost, but it was cheap and I think Heather's DS was free). We spent a half day over there doing the castle (Malmo Haus) and lunch).

To Verandah or Not to Verandah...

We're a family of 5 and had a mid-ship verandah on our first cruise (4 night Dream), but had an aft porthole on the Fantasy last month. The rooms seemed to be the same size, just minus the verandah on the Fantasy, which we honestly hardly used on the Dream. We sort of forced ourselves to go...

Are Ticketed Events on Disney Fantasy tough to get???

Oh wow, that doesn't sound like fun! When I got to the desk with the CM doing ticketed events he made sure we had breakfast and Anna & Elsa one day, and then Princesses another so that we didn't find ourselves running around. On the Fantasy it was Port Adventures, which is deck 5 (mid-ship...

Are Ticketed Events on Disney Fantasy tough to get???

They won't give you tickets for two events at the same time. Know that there are lots of tickets, it's just giving you a time so you don't wait 50 minutes to meet Anna & Elsa (this happened on our first cruise when Frozen had just come out!). I've not yet heard of anyone not getting tickets...

Are Ticketed Events on Disney Fantasy tough to get???

Maybe 10 minutes max. They're good about making sure you don't end up with all 3 ticketed events on the same day as well :)

Are Ticketed Events on Disney Fantasy tough to get???

I was on the Fantasy last month, boarding group 11. I went up to Port Adventures (where you get the tickets) with my sister's in law and we got all the tickets we wanted (Princess, Anna & Elsa, Disney Junior breakfast and Castaway Cay 5km tickets). My DH and kids went up to Cabanas, only 1 of...

Leaving kids In club while you get off ship do or don't?

Yup, I left my kids on board recently while on the Fantasy. We left DD3 on the ship while in Tortola from about 9am-1pm and she had a blast. Lots of attention since there are less kids, she brought more crafts out that day and she had lunch there (they even got her to eat fruit, which I...

Just got off the Fantasy, any questions?

I didn't find it that bad, but I can see why some would say a bit scary. It's a steep drive up with lots of turns and then a big hill down (obviously reverse on the way back!). Our drivers would lay on the horn as they approached a turn because he needed to go wide. I felt as though the...

Just got off the Fantasy, any questions?

Not the OP but I went to Cane Garden Bay on Feb 16 when on the Fantasy. We got off the ship and followed signs to the taxis. Different open air taxis were going different places so we just told the men there that we wanted Cane Garden Bay. 5 people sit per bench, 5 rows, so they want to fill...
