I have a lot of swelling of my feet due to heart failure. I wear Teva's, they look like a combination of sandals and tennis shoes. For me they are the most comfortable shoe I've ever owned!

Or if heat REALLY bothers you, buy a cooling vest. They work great! Just put cooling vest under a search engine and you can find different ones.

Borrowing A Power Chair From Your Own DME Dealer

Hi, I've had my brandnew powerchair damaged by Delta, but if you take a foldup powerchair I think you will be fine. The problem is that they have to stow powerchairs in with the luggage. That means if you have a big chair liike mine that they have to turn it on it's side, in order to get it in...

We had a woods view right by the otter pond. It was on the first floor, just off of the lobby. Great location and great room. It was kinda small, but could get around it in a powerchair with no problem, even the bathroom.:teeth:

    Fiesta Texas

We have had the same problems at Fiesta Texas. They are not wheelchair or disabled friendly. I always get the feeling that they would just rather not bother with us there, but they have too. It sure makes you appreciate WDW! BTW, Sea World in San Antonio does a much better job with the...

    Taking the whole family!!

My DH inherited some $$$ and he wanted to take my whole family to WDW. There was 18 in all. It had always been my mother's dream. We had a blast, but I agree with the poster that said to think of everyone's negative qualities, and have a plan to deal with them all. My SIL is always late to...

First time traveling with electric chair

We used Mears w/c transportation to and from the airport. They were great, I can't say enough good things about them. When going from resort to resort, it is very easy to take your resort bus to the ticket and transportation center and transfer there to the momorail or the bus to whatever resort...

Do the parks still have the same feeling?

'Ultimately whether you feel the magic is going to be up to you. If you let a piece of chipped paint, or a trash can that might be a little too full or one CM who might be having a bad day ruin your whole trip then that is your fault. ' I, did not let the fact that I could see the difference...

Do the parks still have the same feeling?

I don't think the Roy Disney has effected them as much as the cut backs. I was a little disappointed in Disney this year. I remember the days when WDW was a pristine park with everything well maintained. This year the parks were dirty and everything needed paint. We also didn't see as many CM...

    Diabilities Pass for the parks?

When I went 3 weeks ago, RnR was one of those rides where you go through the regular line. You get to see the preshow and then your sent to the exit. They have a special car, that the door opens for easier transfer. I'm sure we took longer than 30 sec but no one hurried us along like Peter Pan...

    wishes viewing

We sat there all 3 night that we saw it. Pretty good view, but you have to watch out and not sit behind trees that could block your view. Also you can't really see much of the parade from this spot. Have a great time!
