    Downside of FP+

What are the real numbers? Can anyone tell me the following: 1. What percentage of guests book a package that includes their park tickets 60+ days from their vacation? 2. What percentage of guests buy tickets 60+ days in advance? In order to do any true calculations, one would have to...

There is absolutely no down side to FP+ - just back!

Predictably, a positive review of the FP+ system testing is dismissed by the same people that always post the perceived negatives and worse case speculations in almost every FP+ thread that shows up. I fail to see how this constant dismissal of positive reports is constructive either. I...

    Could FP+ Ruin my experience?

I do not understand what you are saying here or even if it will be possible. Some of the concerns about the new FP+ system is how easy it will be for people to get a FP+. The position states that since the barrier of actually walking to a location to pull a FP is now removed then more people...

    Could FP+ Ruin my experience?

By your logic that people that do not "bother" to learn about FP system now then why would they learn about the new system. If this significant percentage of guests do not choose to prebook FP+ at 60 days out, then wouldnt that in and of itself stop the need to get up at 6am-7am to prebook FP+...

    Could FP+ Ruin my experience?

OK, do you think that every attraction will be fully booked all day/night with FPs+ on an average day in June? I never said that they will hold back any FP+s. I would wager that I will never be incorrect when I say that there will be same day FP+s available. Everyone doesnt have the...

    Could FP+ Ruin my experience?

It is interesting in another post that you challenge me on my speculation and now you are speculating about future FP+ reservation bookings. And if it turns out the way you are guessing then it will be a good thing and it will create more FP+ same day FP+ availability and there will not be the...

    Could FP+ Ruin my experience?

Just remember that "fair" is a matter of perspective. I am sure that you will find those that think the previous FP- system was not "fair". There is no objective standard in play here.

    Could FP+ Ruin my experience?

Their opinions are relevant to issues with the booking process as a whole even though they weren't able to plan 60 days in advance. People had issues with various aspects of reserving, switching, and replanning their FP+s. These issues will be faced in real life so the feedback on different...

    Could FP+ Ruin my experience?

How is it misleading? There will be same day FP+s available. I never implied that there would be same day FP+s available for every attraction nor did I guarantee it. That is why I said it depends on what attractions were pre-booked ahead of time. It will be interesting to see how many people do...

    Could FP+ Ruin my experience?

I agree with the "wasted" FPs and how it will be with the new FP+ system. I think there will always be some amount of wasted FPs because even with FP+, people will still miss their FP+ times or change them. It will be interesting to see if some of those will be used in the same day FP+ offerings.

    Could FP+ Ruin my experience?

OK, while I am not in "love" with the FP+ system, I will attempt to tell you what I think were some problems with the previous FP system, a.k.a FP-: 1. As you mentioned, and it is a big deal for some, FPs would run out for certain attractions if a person was not in that park by a certain time...

    Could FP+ Ruin my experience?

There will be same day FP+s available but of course the question will be for what rides and if the headliners are all pre-booked ahead of time. One does not need any devices in the park and can use Kiosks upon arrival to check out FP+ availability and reserve FP+s. Again, I acknowledge that...

    Could FP+ Ruin my experience?

IF the FP+ system advance reservation planning turns into a worse case scenario, something that rivals trying to get a BOG reservation, and people have to call at 6am-7am. What percentage of AP holders will be willing to going through that on multiple mornings to make reservations just in case...

    Could FP+ Ruin my experience?

Again, it is speculation at this point that a person will have to get up 6am-7am each day 60 days out from their trip to get FP+ reservations. This is a worse case scenario that could come true but again Disney may be correct in the number of people that will actually make FP+ reservations 60...

    Could FP+ Ruin my experience?

Comparing ADRs to FP+s isn't best gauge of how FP+s planning will go. Restaurants have a much smaller capacity than attractions do. Not to mention that people like to eat at "regular times" as you mention. I agree, this isn't a true test of the overall FP+ system. There are many moving parts...

    Could FP+ Ruin my experience?

That article you are referencing has the following quote: There will be same day FP+s available. It will be interesting to see how it plays out with the headliners. I would also like to know who "Robert" in this article is. Though he may be spot on in his explanation, it would be good to see...

Why Does Everyone Want the Magic Band So Badly?

Nor is it productive for people who are optimistic about the system as Disney apologists, pixie dust sniffer, or a rose colored glasses wearing gaggle either. Nor is it productive when people with a solid reputation on DIS as being very knowledgeable to wander off into the land of speculation...

Can you give someone your fastpass + ?

From the terms and conditions as well: http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/media/park-experience-terms-and-conditions.html "RF Devices are not transferable."

Can you give someone your fastpass + ?

I wonder if we can redefine what non-transferable means on the FP-s as well while we are at it.
