If we are staying offsite is breakfast at the resorts really worth the time? Or hassle?

I think that's probably the best decision....sometimes the "experience" is worth it - like if you wanted a character breakfast. But breakfast food itself on property (except maybe CG brunch which I don't even think is back) is pretty basic. If you're off property anyway and basic is...

If we are staying offsite is breakfast at the resorts really worth the time? Or hassle?

Unless you have your heart set on a specific place for breakfast on property, I would say no. Much better value and options outside the park.

How amazing is Beaches and Cream?

Do you have a local Friendly's? We went there because we were staying at the Boardwalk and my daughter wanted to try it. It wasn't bad, but we were generally underwhelmed and prefer Friendly's.

    Sober Dining at WDW

If you don't want to discuss your personal alcohol issues with the restaurant/staff, tell them it's for religious reasons, so it doesn't matter if it's "cooked out" or not. As someone who works in the restaurant industry, we hear all the time about people not wanting to have alcohol in their...

    Coral Reef - extreme reviews

My DD likes it because of the atmosphere, so we end up going most trips. I usually stick to the garden salad and whatever salmon dish they have and enjoy it. DD orders all over the place - from the kids menu to just an appetizer to any unusual entree they have - and her meals has always...

    Yachtsman Steakhouse?

The chacuterie plate is always excellent there. The starter salad is decent as is the lobster bisque but not anything out of the ordinary. Filet, NY strip, and ribeye were all excellent. I have only had steak there. Although I have a sweet tooth, the desserts here never seem to really...

Is Beaches and Cream worth altering plans for?

No. Do you live anywhere near a Friendly's? Much better. Have lunch in Epcot somewhere - much better options. Get ice cream in France.

Lap sitting babies -- still counted in the reservation?

From someone who has worked in the restaurant industry for a LOT of years - your baby IS a person and needs to be on the reservation. Trust me on this.

    How is Pecos Bill?

Agreed, one entree is likely plenty for 2 people. We thought it was decent but not great.

Must Have Meals for Brown Derby Dinner

HBD is one of the few signatures where you can usually plan on skipping dessert. I have never found them particularly appealing. I usually end up with the seasonal salad or soup to start, then whatever incarnation of salmon entree they have, and enjoy that. My DD usually gets the ap...

Skipper Canteen vs. Liberty Tree Tavern

Skipper Canteen is a lot more interesting of a place to go, IMHO. We've eaten there a couple of times now and it was always good. LTT is decent but not very exciting - we'll only go there for lunch (not dinner - too much food and not the kind we prefer to eat on vacation). Typically...

What are the "must eats" at Be Our Guest & Coral Reef

I thought the salmon at Coral Reef was solidly good and would get it again. BOG doesn't wow me, food-wise. The steak was ok, not great, but at least there's wine. Desserts weren't very appealing. When it comes to MK, I think lunch-type options are better and then leave the park for dinner.

Tell Me About Tony's Town Square... Is it actually bad food, or just not really Italian food?

I've just eaten there once. In all honesty - it wasn't bad. I'd put it on par with chain Italian like Olive Garden. It wouldn't be my choice to eat at again because we have so many good local Italian restaurants at home (and I cook a lot of Italian food) that Tony's pales by comparison...

What do you like at Sci Fi?

My brother had what we dub "the worst steak in the universe" at Sci-Fi a couple years ago. DD & I have been back since but we stick to simpler fare - burger, sandwich, salad, occasionally onion rings. Those are generally decent.

    corel reef or spice road?

If you have little ones, go to Coral Reef. If it's more of an adult group, go to Spice Road.

Breakfast and lunch are quick service, dinner is table service.

We really like Liberty Tree - excellent salad.

    Skipping TS

We like TS at least once a day at Disney because it's a break from running around. Generally speaking, I really enjoy eating out - that's a big part of vacation for me. Good food, an adult beverage or two, and down time. That said - I will not do the dining plan (as has been brought...

Coral Reef or Tutto Italia for a quieter sit down meal?

If the food looks good to you, Spice Road is a little quieter.

Skipper Canteen or LTT??? Help :)

While I like sit down meals in parks, I'm not looking to fill up too much if we're planning on any rides or a lot of walking around after the meal. We also like to snack a bit or have an ice cream in between meals while we're in the park. While I like LTT at lunch, I wouldn't personally do...
