Cruising The Canal May 1, 2015 (Roll Call in Post 1)

That is the main concern, getting off the ship smoothly!:thumbsup2 We have done many DCL cruises and never had any reason to rush off the the ship to catch a flight because we live in Florida and drive to the port. So, I'm leaning towards the red eye. Get the luggage, go to the airport, drop...

Cruising The Canal May 1, 2015 (Roll Call in Post 1)

Thanks for the feedback! Right now the 12:30 PM and the 10:30pm are the cheapest at about $250 per person, plus baggage fees of course :sad2:. We did the red eye from Vancover on the Alaska cruise we did on the Wonder a few years ago and that was the worst! Had to layover in Cleveland at 6am for...

Cruising The Canal May 1, 2015 (Roll Call in Post 1)

We are on the May 1 2015 cruise and researching best return flight options back to FL. I have read a few threads regarding the not so efficient disembarkation process in San Diego that has created missed flights for most morning to 12:30pm flights in the past. Spending the day touring the nearby...

Who goes on a Disney European cruise

We did the 12 night Baltic in 2010 and there were a fair amount of U.S. travelers on that cruise. Loved the two days in London prior to the cruise! And, we did a 10 night Med in 2007 and again many U.S travelers.

    Tub/Shower in Dream

We ended up with an accessible on deck 6 last year and we do not have any disability. They must have not had any requests for it and gave it to us. Bathroom was huge and walk in shower with pull around curtain.

Benefits of Purchasing From Disney Directly

Well, actually I am a salesman at a Ford store! :wave2: And, I don't pay full price for things if I can help it either :goodvibes. I make all the money on some sales pirate: and little on others :teacher:. But most everyone needs a car! Times and the economy are different now. When we began...

Not drinking the cool aid on resale!!

Resales are fine if you are just going to the parks for the rest of your life! We were fortunate to purchase all our points before the changes in ownership rules in March 2011 as to purchases being direct from DVC or a resale from outside DVC. We plan on experiencing all options for vacations...

    Paying for Cabana ?

We sail June 1st and booked one at 120 days just in case then cancelled it yesterday. Decided to spend that money at St. Thomas on a non-Disney Jetski & Snorkel Excursion. Plus, we like to explore Castaway Cay and decided we would be at the cabana very little.

Suggestions for sleeping arrangement in 2BR at BLT

We recently did a two bedroom at BLT but it was a one bdrm with a lock off to a studio. But I think if you moved that short chest in the master bedroom out of the room (plenty of room in the living area) you could put the crib there and still have room to walk by. Then the aero could go next to...

Live from SSR--and I hate it!

Not to say your complaints are invalid but having just got of a Fantasy cruise where your every need is taken care of on a beautiful brand new ship where your room steward cleans the cabin two or three times a day, I think everything after that is going to seem inadequate. That is why we always...

Please clear this up for me!

Also, what I have learned when looking for a last second reservation with member services is never take "nothing available" as the last word. Just thank them and call back in 20 min. and if that call does not produce what you want call them back again! I have done this several times and low and...

    Pushing Add Ons?

We got the email for Boardwalk only. We have points at three other resorts but nothing on those. A friend of ours has been in discussion with DVC this week about joining and they are not offering these points to new members. Just Animal Kingdom, Bay Lake and maybe Sarasota Springs.

Lastest Incentives from purchases while on the cruise?

We are DVC members and were on that June 7th Alaska Cruise and attended several of the presentations. First, Welcome Home! :cheer2: You can rest assured that you got a great deal. We have added on while on cruises before and this was by far one of the best offers. And if we could have...

    Alaska Excursions--post your reviews here!

We were on the June 7th sailing and had a great time. Skagway: We did the Yukon 4x4 Jeep excursion which was excellent. It is a long excursion going from Skagway via Jeep convoy following the other jeeps inland to Carcross which is in the Yukon Territory. Along the way we stopped a few times...

    Alaska

One thing you can count on when cruising where ever you go is that no matter what the average yearly weather might be, mother nature gets the last word. We did a Northern Baltic last year, planned on cool weather, and had a heat wave for the entire 12 days that lasted all summer in the Baltic...
