We are going in a couple of days. How was the weather during your cruise?

I have been to the Magic Kingdom numerous times over a decade and I have never seen this place open! I think that it is such a waste of space to have a place that is only open 10 times a year.

I would choose Boatwright's, its really good and very close to POFQ.

We have never met our guide. I called and purchased DVC without going through the whole tour (we didn't even get the ice cream:confused3). The only time that I see our guides name is when there is a mass mailing, his card is glued to the inside of the mailer.

When we go to SSR we always try to get into the Grandstand area. The bus stop is usually the first one to pick up and drop off. It also has a quiet pool and a water play area for the kids.

I picked up flights on Southwest for 9/25 to 10/4 for $79 per person each way. I wish that I would have caught the $49 each way. Just happy to get the rates that I did :woohoo: Now just having the torturous wait for the Food and Wine Festival. This will be our first stay at the Beach Club so...

Southwest has some good fares ($79) to Orlando from Kansas City if anyone is sitting on the fence :)

I would have to agree with some of the other folks on this post. If you didn't like SSR then you are probably not going to like AKL. There are no close bus stops at AKL, there is 1. No matter where you are in that great expanse of a hotel there is still only 1 bus stop that you have to walk...

Another Garden Grocer Lover here. We have used them 4 times and every time it was great! The fruits were fresh and the bread wasn't squished :)

If it gives you any hope I booked BCV at the 7 month mark for 9/25 - 10/4 with no problems at all. MS even said that there was plenty of availability at that time.

If it could be any of the resorts I would have to say Port Orleans. If the choices are just the DVC properties then I would choose SSR.:goodvibes

I have seen a DVC episode on Travel Channel. It was an hour long commercial for Disney Vacation Club. If I remember right it was just like watching the DVD that you get in the mail.

If Disney went out of business we would still have our ownership in our respective resort. Might no longer be able to go to parks but we still own portions of the resort. I would guess that if DVC went out of business then we wouldn't have to give our shares back after 50 years as long as we...
