Liberty Tree Tavern or Crystal Palace for dinner-which would you choose and why?

We haven't been to CP, so I can't tell you which place is better. However, we ate at LTT in February, and we all thought it was great. The food is basic, but I thought it was very good. You get ham, turkey, beef, potatoes and gravy, stuffing and some excellent green beans. Plus, rolls and salad...

    akl vs poly

We recently stayed at the Polynesian with our 3 kids, ranging from 1 (at the time) to 6 years old. For us, the convenience of the Poly was well worth the price. We spent most of our time at the Magic Kingdom, but the transportation was convenient to all parks. Also, the layout of the Polynesian...

    AAA Disney Character Storytelling question

Yes, you must make reservations. Ask your AAA agent for the info, if you don't have it in your materials.

    Switched To AAA??

When I got all of our vouchers and info from AAA, there was a phone number to call. I called about 2 weeks before our trip, and had no trouble getting the day and time I wanted. Have fun!

    Switched To AAA??

If you do opt to go with AAA, be sure to take advantage of the free AAA Storytime. Our kids really enjoyed it. It was a nice quiet opportunity to spend some time with a character. In our case, we got to see Aladdin. My son thoroughly enjoyed it. We'll definitely book through AAA again. We got a...

The Poly- What is your favorite longhouse and why?

We stayed in Samoa, first floor, volcano pool side. For our family, it was perfect. We have three kids, ages 2 - 6. Every afternoon I sat on the patio while my youngest took a nap in the room and my two older kids swam with my husband. Plus, it was so convenient to the GCH. For a family like...

A Guide to Surviving Disney World

I have to admit that I liked the photo of people standing in line. The caption said something to the effect of "a line leading to another line." I also liked the part about the off-season being sometime between 1 - 3 a.m. on December 8th. How true that is! Anyway, there were definitely...

    Food Allergy Dining Report

You and your son will have a great time. It was so nice to be able to eat out and not worry about what they'd have for my son to eat. The chefs were incredible. Every table service restaurant we went to had Tofutti. Also, we had no trouble finding plenty of vanilla silk for my son. Thank...

Should I try Disney's Magical Express at CSR?

We thought DME was great. No problems, no delays, everything went smoothly. I would give it a high recommendation.

    Food Allergy Dining Report

The counter service places we ate at were Cosmic Rays (rotis. chicken and ribs), Pecos Bill's (hamburger w/o bun and grapes), Flametree BBQ (hotdog w/o bun and grapes, also had some ribs), and the CS place at the Polynesian. I'm blanking out on the name of that one, but they were great at...

    Food Allergy Dining Report

I'm not sure where the rolls were made, but the chef said they would be safe for my son. He ate them, and had no problems. He was unable to eat any of the buns at the counter service places, though, because they contained dairy.

    Less popular attractions at MK...

I had read all the terrible things about the Stitch ride, and warned my DH and DS5. Still, they had to try it for themselves. Well, it turned out to be one of my son's favorites! My husband thought it was lame, though. My son LOVES Stitch, so that may have had something to do with it.

WDW with kids - I have no clue.....

We just got back from our first WDW trip with our kids, ages 6, 5 and almost 2. Their favorites were: Buzz Lightyear ride at MK, Mickey's Philharmagic, dinner at Chef Mickey's, Winnie the Pooh ride at MK, Pirates of the Caribbean, the swimming pool at the Poly every afternoon and the...

HELP! 1st timer planning mid april w 4yrold

We just got back from our first trip to Disney World with our kids, ages 6, 5 and almost 2. Our absolute BEST time was the 2 mornings we spent at MK. We got there right at opening, and we had no waits whatsoever. As the morning wore on, the lines got very long. We had an excellent time at Animal...

Ohana's for dinner and kids menu

My DS5 loved the skewered meats at Ohana's, but he wanted fries instead of scalloped potatoes, which was no problem. Also, DD6 wanted to try the meats, but ended up not liking anything, so our waiter brought her a hotdog about halfway through our meal.

FEBRUARY 2008 WDW travelers post HERE!!!

I would LOVE to do a Disney cruise. I'm also interested in the Disney Adventure vacations. Don't know much about those, but it's definitely something I'll look into for the future.

FEBRUARY 2008 WDW travelers post HERE!!!

I'm not sure how the DVC thing works, either, but I've got about 3 years to figure it out! ;) Our next trip will be to Boston and upstate NY this summer. It's time to visit the in-laws. Luckily, I ended up with wonderful in-laws, so I'm looking forward to the trip. Won't be quite as much fun...

FEBRUARY 2008 WDW travelers post HERE!!!

I don't think your last post was too opinionated. We all have to do what works for us on vacation. Everyone has different ideas of what the ideal situation is for them. For us, we knew we'd spend most of our time at the Magic Kingdom, that we'd need a rest every afternoon, and that this might be...

    CRT and Food Allergies

I bet that if you call ahead of time, they will be sure to have something for your daughter. I was worried that we'd run into problems at some of our meals, but my son ate like a king while we were there. He turned down dessert more than once, and that NEVER happens at home. He just got full...
