    After reading ticket sticky #8...

I'm still a little confused. We found old passes from 1993 that still have a day unused. There is no magnetic stripe, but our signatures are on the passes. We are going next week and planning to buy annual passes. Will they credit the one day remaining (even at 1993 prices) to the cost of the...

    Am I being selfish??

November is a wonderful time to visit WDW. But after 3rd grade we decided not to go during the school year. My daughter was never in classes where the work could be made up in a day. She was also involved in music, drama, yearbook, etc. If she'd missed a week of school to go to WDW or anywhere...

AKL Kidani availability at 7 months?

I called in March and booked a 1BR savanna view for the second week in August. The only day not available all month for that type of villa was August 25th! :)

Just returned from an 11 day stay -- Please read

Thank you for sharing your experiences. I'm so glad you had such a good trip. I don't doubt that people run into problems or less than magical situations, but I think it's the nature of any forum that those kind of things are reported more frequently. I also think in the summer when people are...

    Looking for the best sunscreen

We use Neutrogena as well, but the important thing to remember (says my dermatologist) is apply BEFORE you are in the sun-in the room about a 1/2 hour before you leave. If you're applying sunscreen in line, it's better than nothing, but you are already damaging your skin.

Mixed adult group with newborns & pregnant women?

It would be difficult IMHO to be at that stage in my life (possibly pregnant? Very young infants?) and commit to a trip to WDW. I admire young families that can pack up the little ones and take this kind of trip, but not everyone can handle it. If they are really on board with the idea you will...

    Overwhelmed!!!

You have gotten alot of great advice in previous posts. Mine would be to get a good guidebook (we like the Unofficial Guide to WDW) either through Amazon or your library (get the most recent edition, of course!) and just familiarize yourself with everything. Looking at maps and descriptions of...

    25th Anniversary Surprise Trip

What a great surprise and gift! We have not stayed at BCV since 2004 (when we joined DVC) but are planning to stay there next summer with our daughter, her husband and our grandson. I really think he will enjoy the children's pool area. I remember sitting by SB and looking over at the lake and...

Decisions Decisions...What to do at Disney without the toddler?

I think your anniversary/adults get-away trip sounded like alot fun-exhausting, but fun-you did so much! The mimosa monorail tour really appealed to me. We usually just sit on our balcony with a glass of wine (empty nesters) but I would love to try that! And happy 10th anniversary!

    point usage at hotel

We purchased our add on at AKL through Disney because the offer at that time was so good. Two years worth of points, discount on what we purchased and a 500.00 gift card. We also got two nights in a 1BR at SSR. And the same use year as our BCV points. I don't see us adding any more points (300...

    Walking at Kidani

I know you said you like to walk around the resort, but we saw beautiful sunrises over the savanna from our balcony at Kidani-I was getting up very early every morning just to sit and watch the day begin. The animals are still out that early and were often sleeping under a tree just outside our...

Question about Healthy Food in WDW

Congratulations on your weight loss! And your wedding-I see your trip is a honeymoon! There are many places where you can get good, but healthy food. I always check the menus at allears.net so I have an idea what I'm ordering before I sit down. I see you are traveling in October and chances are...

AKV - Are we the only family that...

We look forward to our DVC trips for months-so I'm sorry you were so disappointed with Kidani Village. With so many resorts to choose from I'm sure your next vacation will be much better. I hope you have a great stay at Vero Beach.

How much do you spend on merchandise?

I love to browse in the shops (especially Epcot) but buy very little. And I like things that I will use. The Christmas ornaments in Germany are beautiful so I get one or two of those. The Mickey Head wine stoppers are cute and very reasonable if you need gifts to take home-and they won't take up...

Pack me the perfect water park bag...

We bring our own towels (easier to spot from a distance). We don't bother with a locker-just put tickets/keys/small amount of cash in a plastic lanyard. We have one of those coolers that's a backpack and load that up with water and some fruit, snacks. Reapply sunscreen every hour! I also suggest...

How do I pick a cruise level?

Another vote for the PassPorter's guide. I found it extremely helpful for our cruise last November. In fact, I had the book open while I made our reservation! We were on level 6, by the way towards the back-it had a full balcony and and was a very quiet location. We has a wonderful time and...
