Does everybody stay at the HoJo? We LOVE the HoJo, but I canNOT BELIEVE their prices lately?!?! I don't get it! They are further down the road & their prices have just skyrocketed...I don't get what happened with that?!

I would love to stay there, but the Best Westerns are right across the street from the entrance & are averaging $111/night ($89 W/TH & $134 F/S) for the Park Place Inn & $102/night ($89 W/TH & $116 F/S) for the Anaheim Inn (with AAA membership).

I am waiting to find out if a friend is coming with me or if I'll be bringing my daughter (who would bring a friend to go hang out with-she LOVES this idea) before I can commit to a roommate...otherwise I would LOVE to split a room with someone!!!

We haven't booked our room yet. I think my mom wants to stay a little closer to the parks so we are looking at BW PPI.

Good morning, ladies! Is it really only Wednesday?? Gosh, it feels like the kids have already been back in school forever. I did take a vacation, right? I'm sure I must have, I have photos to prove it! LOL It's funny how easy it is to settle back into the same old routine.

I like the idea of a photo in DCA. I am just really bummed because the princess photo with our tiaras on, has been a tradition and a nice one I think. Well, maybe something will still work out...

Oh? Anyone else been lately that can confirm this? I know the princess photo isn't a favorite of everyone's, but I'd like it to still be an option for those who've enjoyed it in the past. We can still do a new one at DCA. But the tradition of the princess photo and then the Small World group ride, is one I'd like to see continue if at all possible.

I think right now, most ladies are booked at Hojo, BUT they did it with the much cheaper special discount rates. Now, they've changed things all around, but if you are signed up to get their emails, you'll get info about the cheaper rates that way.
I wouldn't stay there unless it was the discounted price. Otherwise, in my opinion, it's not worth it.

Beth I so agree about the exchanges. I find myself going overboard when I shop cuz I usually go in with a list of what my person wants and then I go crazy with little "extras" cuz I think oh isn't this cute isn't that cute and prob cuz it is all stuff I would want myself LOL. But that's half the fun. Not just getting something but making the package and getting excited to see the person get it!!

I totally agree. I love shopping for my exchange person! It's fun.

I used to live in MI and when I did, I started a group that went to WDW. We had over 40 ladies and it was a blast!! Much more planning since it's a bigger resort with more parks, but so much fun. Some members from that original group still get together yearly.

Does anyone know if Mel posted the blue tee shirt, not the design but the color she has chosen? I asked her awhile back but never saw an answer. I really want to find a shirt before the stores have nothing but winter clothes.

Yes, I did mention something about a color I would like to use on Facebook. Would you believe I am going to try and use "teal blue" for our background? I believe I will use Hanes again, because the price is reasonable and they come in the size ranges we need. Derrick is supposed to have my design drawn up by the end of this month. I gave him the idea that was in my head, the type of art I wanted, and what to include in the image. I can't wait to see if what I have imagined, works. LOL! As soon as I have something in concrete, and figure out how to post a pic, I will post the image.
Unless you all trust me, and be surprised. Hee hee!

I think a lot of the girls stay at the HoJo every year. I have stayed there once before, and didn't mind it, so that is where I booked. What I really want to do is splurge a little bit and stay at a Disney hotel, but I'd definitely need a roommate on that. I've never been able stay at one of those yet, and I want to just once!

You know, I've heard all the hate about the so called "death wheel", so when we first rode it in 2010, I was a little scared to pick the swinging cars, but we did it anyways, and it wasn't nearly as bad as I was thinking it would be. Not sure why everyone's so scared of it, lol.

Because I'm scared of heights, well not really heights so much as I'm afraid of falling. Makes no sense that I love ToT so much.....LOL

Guess who just booked her flight for the girls trip?!?!?!?

Since I had the approval from my boss, I decided to check out prices when I got home, and they just happened to have a seat sale going on at WestJet, so I jumped on it and am now booked! I come into LA at 9:05pm on Wednesday the 27th, and my flight leaves at 1:15pm on Sunday the 3rd to come back home.

Now I just have to figure out hotel. Jessica is not 100% sure she can afford to stay at HoJo, and I know I can't afford a room all by my lonesome, so if there is anyone I can room with, or who could like to room with me (Ive got a room booked with 2 queen beds at the HoJo), please let me know! I know it's still early, but I want to make sure I can cancel my hotel in time, if need be.

I'm staying at the HoJo because the ladies who invited me to share their room with them already have it booked. I'm sure you'll find a roomie!!

hahaha....the secret to the swinging cars is "uppy arms"....the ride is TERRIFYING if you are clenched to the cage like I usually ride it! My friend convinced me to ride it with uppy arms...she SWORE to me it would work...she was right...you kind of go with the flow of the ride if you do. I've never actually been on the stationary cars! There are HILARIOUS youtube videos of people riding...I was laughing so hard at one I was crying!!

70 people! AMAZING!!!!! I'm soooooooooooooo excited about doing this!!!!

My friend Amy brought over a bunch of her beading stuff she doesn't use anymore, we went through it to see if I could use any of it for my Halloween costume, of which I only need to make my jewelry, wand, figure out my hair, get a corset top and some white leggings......I've been super lucky finding cheap stuff to use for it and I'm super excited! She also let me borrow her bead weaving instruction book so I'm thinking I might try to weave some leaves to add onto my costume. This costume is my OUAT themed costume, a bunch of us are doing a group deal, Amy is going to be the Queen, Tomoko is going to be Red, I'm going to be the Blue Fairy. We have others participating but I don't know who all just yet.

I use to live out there. In Atlanta. (Alpharetta). I do have other DIS friends on the east coast. Have been thinking about going next summer. I also want to go to new places as well.

Yes. My name is Debbie. . I will have to go look at your daily itinerary and see what day I would like to do. Then get with my job about which day I can take off. I only live 13 miles from park. Won't. Take me long to zoom over there. Unfortunately we don't put in our vacas til January. Gets approved so forth.
