I'd like to do a couple of more expansions but I need the Zoning Permits. I'm hoping to place another pier or two since that along with the farm seems to be the easiest way to get goods. The pier doesn't take up as much room as the farm area does.

Use the Charlie train, too. It doesn't cost you any energy to use, and comes back in 5 minutes. With the new adjustments (300 goods in 5 minutes), you can easily keep things stocked and save your energy.

I just discovered this newest addition to zynga and am liking it.. I could use more neighbors too cause like most of you my farmer/frontier neighbors aren't ready to leave their homesteads for the city yet. I've been on the dis for awhile but haven't posted in forever and seem to have lost my post count so I am unable to send PM requests so please send me a message to add and I will! thanks

I'm not liking that to unlock the Rome shipping route, you have to have 15 neighbors. Guess I'm never going to get past that quest then 'cause I don't have 15 neighbors.

Grrr . . . needed only one more pig for the carousel goal, and they changed it. Now, I can't complete it for at least 2.1 days, since I need something from the wheat collection. I'd rather rely on neighbors, even if I only had a few, than completing something from a random drop every 2.1 days.

(Speaking of which - why do I have 40+ danish, but only 1 milk? Some items are much, much, much more common drops than others.)

I am having major problems with this game so I temporarily blocked it- I will try again in a few days maybe, or I will let it go.

I am only level 6, and one of my goals was to build that chateau. Only I couldn't build the chateau, because my people were too sad so my population wouldn't grow till they became happy. So I spent $1000 to build another city hall, which would only give me 100 people, and I needed 210 happy people to build another residence. So I am down to barely 1000 coins now, and since I am only level 6 that's a LOT of coins at this point. I still need 4 more community buildings to get from 170 population to 210 so I can build that chateau. My other goals also cost coins, and I am can't figure out how to get more goods since my buildings all need goods (I am down to less than 200 goods now). And really, I am only level 6 with less than 200 people, it's kind of ridiculous that I need several post offices and several city halls at this point for 170 people. They also have a gas station and two burger joints and the toy shop, that's plenty for 170 people. I dislike being told what I HAVE to build to continue the game. Especially at this low level. I don't have enough city cash to unlock the buildings you can have at level 7.

So even though I barely played 2 hours, the game is temporarily blocked because it's frustrating. Am I doing something crazy wrong, or is this game just not meant to be (for me?)

I didn't have those kinds of problems... I just added houses and community buildings as I could. I only get on and play mornings and evenings for a few minutes and I'm level 28 in just about a week. I just got to the point where I need 2,000 residents so I will most likely build a second library in order to keep everyone happy. But this will be the first time I've built a duplicate community building. It looks like I have 7 community buildings for 1,590 people... I kept running out of goods too - use the train to buy from your neighbors and add to your farm to grow more crops...

Very frustrating!! I saved up enough coins (120,000) for the cinema goal, bought the cinema and placed it this afternoon and then tonight I have a goal to buy and place the cinema - argh! Meaning, I never got "credit" for buying it as I wrongly assumed that I just had to buy it once I had enough coins - having enough coins was the first goal and then buying and placing was the second. Learn from my mistake!!

Soooooo...guess I'll have to figure out if I want to save up for another one or go on to something else...but that unfinished goal on my screen will drive me nuts for sure.
