Day 4 part 1 - Don't Count On Me To Fight Off Zurg
August 14th, 2011

We woke up at our usual time of 7am, quickly got ready and walked to the food court.

DSC02888.jpg

As usual I forgot to take pictures of our food. I think at that time I had given up on eating breakfast and just had a chocolate milk every morning. Ron had... something. By 8am we were already on a bus and making our way to the one park we hadn't visited yet.

Welcome, welcome, welcome! The opening ceremony of Magic Kingdom is so magical! The music is awesome and puts you right in the mood. And so many characters too!!

DSC02892.jpg

DSC02893.jpg

I love Stitch!!

DSC02898.jpg

DSC02899.jpg

As soon as the show was over we made our way under the train station, and onto Main Street. We turned the corner, and, saw the castle! I was already emotional from the welcome show, but this put me over the edge and tears of joy streamed down my face.

DSC02900.jpg

I actually did not even take a picture of the castle. Oops. I think it was partly because I was overwhelmed, and partly because we must have come across some photopass people along the way. Anyhow, we cut through the Noddle Station and arrived in Tomorrowland. We quickly got FPs for Space Mountain, then went to see my favorite little alien who was all alone. Have I said already how much I love Stitch?

DSC02901.jpg

DSC02903.jpg

Buzz Lightyear had no wait so we jumped in line. I remembered not liking the game very much last time because I had the hardest time aiming, but I was hoping this time would be different. Was it? I'll let you judge.

DSC02905.jpg

DSC02907.jpg

Ooooooooooh!

DSC02909.jpg

Ron's score

DSC02912.jpg

And my pitiful score.

DSC02913.jpg

As you can see, I was having as bad a time and quickly gave up in favor of taking pictures.

DSC02915.jpg

My score is so bad, they throw me in prison with Zurg.

DSC02917.jpg

After that we went on something I remembered loving when I was a kid. Unfortunately, it was being refurbed last time we were in Disney, so I was itching to go on!

206.jpg

DSC02930.jpg

We must have gone in the standby line because Ron stopped to try the games.

DSC02919.jpg

I love the ride as much as I remembered! This guy in the same rocket as us was laughing the whole way, which made me giggle the whole time. LOL
I think I forgot to take a redneck picture of our ride photo, but here are some photos from the very long walk towards the exit.

DSC02920.jpg

DSC02922.jpg

The second we got out Ron realized he had lost his phone!!! It was in his pocket and must have slipped when he was sitting in the rocket. We asked the CM at the entrance of the ride if they had found a phone. They had! She makes us go through the fastpass line. When we get to the merge the guy handed Ron his cell and then let us through what I imagine is the chicken exit. Ron was very happy.

DSC02924.jpg

Ron had to use the restroom, so I took some pictures of Tomorrowland while waiting around.

Up Next, Who will get the Manly Horse?

Oh my goodness! I am soooo very excited for you two! I wondered if you were going to spring a surprise on us when you posted about buying Mr. Potato Head parts.

When I posted the Mr Potato Head update we had no clue I was pregnant yet. We were definitely hoping though. :goodvibes We were gonna buy those parts whether it took 2 months or two years to have a baby. Heck, I played with my Mr. Potato Head by myself the other day! :rotfl:

Congratulations on your pregnancy!!! I have enjoyed reading your PTR (beautiful wedding!) and now your TR. I hope you have wonderfully smooth pregnancy:goodvibes

Thank you! I'm glad to hear you enjoyed my PTR and very happy that you took the time to comment here. :goodvibes

Yes!! I'm pregnant!!!!!!!! We are so very excited!!:banana:

Thank you everyone. The first day it felt very surreal and I kept looking at the test to remind myself that it is indeed real. I even took three tests because the line was so pale on the first two we thought we might be imagining it. So I did a digital one, and I can't mistake the YES!! Already I have started to feel some physical symptoms like fatigue, queasiness with food, and heart burn. But as annoying as those can be, they make me feel more pregnant so it's okay.

Since I'm a teacher I had to do a blood test to see if I'm immune to a few contagious diseases and need to wait the results at home. I can sleep in, great! Wrong. Apparently our little peanut likes to get up early already... :cutie:

Congratulations! How exciting for you!

Well, I think I have caught up on your report. I am enjoying it.

I am so glad Ron was able to get his phone back! I am paranoid about securing my belongings before the rides. This confirms that it is not paranoia, it is required if I want to keep my stuff!

I'm glad Ron found his phone. Three years ago my parents went to WDW for their 25th Anniversary, and my Dad lost his phone getting onto the boat at Maelstrom. Unfortunately, they never found it, and it had fallen in the water so it would have been dead anyway. He had to order another phone (it is paid for by his job) and got it a couple days later down there.

Hope you get the Photopass pics soon so you can do that update!

I'm trying to work on my photobook and It's. So. Hard.
How am I suppose to take close to 3000 photos and narrow it down the the 100 best????
:headache:

Congratulations! How exciting for you!

Thanks again! :cloud9:

Ron was much better at making sure his phone was in a safe place for the rest of the trip. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about all his belongings... :sad2:

Hope your dad didn't lose too much data when his phone fell in the water. At least it didn't take too long before he got a new one.

I hope so too!!!! It's been 2 weeks since I ordered. Tomorrow is Canadian Thanksgiving so no mail, but hopefully Tuesday? They say it can take up to 14 business days so if it's not here by Friday there is a problem...

Wow I am way behind around here. :scared1:

Congrats on your big news!!! :cloud9: That is awesome. I am so happy for you! :goodvibes

Better catch up then! :rotfl: j/k

Thank you! :cloud9: We've been talking about names, and we kinda like Walt's middle name, Elias, as a middle name. Disney obsessed much? :rolleyes1 :goodvibes

Oh my goodness, Mel! I am so excited for you and Ron!!! Congratulations! I hope you have a happy and healthy 9 months! :goodvibes

Love the pictures with Stitch! And I'm so glad that Ron's phone was found!

Day 4 part 2 - At Least You Got The Manly Horse
August 14th, 2011

We were done with the main Tomorrowland attractions by 10am. Though there were a lot more things to do there, we would be back later. Now it was time to head to Fantasyland before the lines got too big.

On the way there we saw the White Rabbit having fun on the Tea Cups with some guests! Lucky them!

DSC02936.jpg

We grabbed FPs for Peter Pan's Flight, and got bonus Phillarmagic FP with it. Then I tortured Ron with what used to be my favorite attraction on my very first trip at 2.

DSC02937.jpg

DSC02944.jpg

I love all those silly animals!

DSC02948.jpg

DSC02949.jpg

We had unfortunately missed Phillharmagic on our previous trip, os it was a must-do for us. We did not even need to use our FP as there was almost no line.

DSC02961.jpg

DSC02962.jpg

DSC02964.jpg

As we exited I noticed that the Carousel had no line either, so we went on. Ron felt a bit silly being on it, but he found a manly horse to save face.

DSC02982.jpg

DSC02978.jpg

He had the one on the right, I had the one on the left.

DSC02969.jpg

DSC02968.jpg

We got Winnie The Pooh FPs and then we HAD to go on Snow White's Scary Adventure before it disappears for good.

DSC02976.jpg

DSC02972.jpg

DSC02970.jpg

Isn't the giant peeking into the store at the end neat? Love all those little details! And I never would have thought to look up if I hadn't seen it in Mickeystoontown TR.

DSC02975.jpg

Ron loved this t-shirt. LOL

221.jpg

The castle looks great front every angle.

222.jpg

DSC02986.jpg

We took a few more pictures on our way out of Fantasyland and back to Tomorrowland.

DSC02980.jpg

Anybody else excited for this? We sure are!

Up Next, How Many Sets Of Fastpasses Will We Hold In Our Hands At The Same Time???

Both Bob and I had read that Snow White would be closed by the time September came! So imagine my delight when I saw it was very much up and running! It is one of my favs! I must have rode it a dozen times this past trip! You seemed to have gotten a lot done for the busier august month! great castle pics!

When I was very young I was scared of the Snow White attraction. This time I liked it, it was cute. I'm glad we did it at least once before it closes.

Though it was quite busy the whole time we were there, we had a good plan of attack and knew how to really take advantage of FP. We really did a whole lot more than we anticipated! We thought it would take us almost a full day to do Tomorrowland and Fantasyland, but we were down by (a late) lunch!
