Yuletide Fantasy Tour for Kids?

We will be at WDW 12/18 - 12/25. (Yay!) Anyway, I read about the Yuletide Fantasy tour and wondered if my DS 13 and DD 11 could go with my DH and I. (Have I got enough acronyms?!?)

Anybody take their DKs on this tour? Age limits?

If not, did you take the tour and have fun?

What is a Yuletide Fantasy tour?

I booked the tour for this December 7, and I am pretty sure that there could be no one under the age of 16 on the tour. It is supposed to take you around the resorts and explain the x-mas preparations. Also take you to the place where they get ready for the holidays and store there decorations. I will be glad to post a review when I get back.

CM's will tell you 16 and up. I know someone who just called yesterday about that. I am pretty sure the official website says 16 and up too. They take you "backstage" and they don't want any kids seeing the characters "out of character" and ruining the magic. I am sure there are liability issues as well.

The age limit is 16 and Disney does enforce this due to insurance reasons. They will ask for proof (birth certificate, etc) and if you can't produce it, they won't allow them on the tour. Sorry!

I tried to find a description of the tour on the WDW website and couldn't find anything. Here is the description of the tour from Allearsnet.com:

DISNEY'S YULETIDE FANTASY
Almost magically, Walt Disney World Resort transforms into a holiday headquarters complete with millions of sparking lights, larger-than-life Christmas trees and miles of garland. Guests take a behind the scenes peek at that magical transformation in Disney's Yuletide Fantasy, a three-hour journey into the holiday history of Walt Disney World Resort.

Guests take guided tours to theme parks and resort hotels, learning stories about the themes of the Yuletide decorations and how Disney elves transform the parks and hotels into an annual winter wonderland. Disney's Yuletide Fantasy is open to ages 16 and older (guests under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult), and theme park admission is not required.

The program is $69 per person, NO theme park admission required

By this description it sounds like kids under 16 can go, but must have an adult with them. If you call to book the tour, you could ask if there is a minimum age limit.

We have booked this for Nov 28th. I can't wait to do this tour.

DH & I went on this tour last year, I do not think teens would enjoy this tour.
