So we're back in the room because we just couldn't take the crowds today at MK. I guess we were spoiled over the first 4 days of our trip....we barely encountered any crowds at all at all the other parks. I'm not into crowds so DH and I left today after about a couple hours of this and only two rides:

We have an ADR at Crystal Palace at 7:30 but I don't think we will try and go. What's funny is the Unofficial Guide said to go to MK today. There was a music group there today though so maybe that had something to do with it. Also, I think I heard that they were shooting a TV special there today. Maybe someone can confirm?

What to do in Orlando for dinner that is good but not Disney???

christmas parade filming?? also, the cruise ship docked today. that also brings in more guests--before and after the cruise. thanks for the update!

You might want to call CP & see if they are on time with the ADRs.
Traditionally, we do not try MK on a Saturday due to the crowding. Wow! it really looks packed! Was it packed all the way in? In the past we've found it impossible around the filming area(MVMCP parade) but thins out toward the back of the park. Edited to add: if you are doing Photopass on parade filming days: you may have to really hunt out a photog & you may not get the 'super' Castle view in yr background, at least this was our experience last year.
We really enjoyed CP & our party was all adult! DH was prepared not to like it, but ended up getting his photo taken w/ Pooh & Tigger :rotfl:
Off property:
We go low key, like Popeye's & Sonic (not available in NH), Outback is DBIL's fav, Sweet Tomatoes is nice. Haven't tried Tu Tu Tango, but have heard decent things.

Have a Magical time :wizard:

Today was a filming day for the Christmas parade. Most any Saturday is not the day to go to MK.

We got all the way into Fantasy Land and there was still a wall of people back there. We were trying to find somewhere to eat lunch and went inside somewhere (don't remember the name) and I couldn't even see anywhere to sit. That's when I said that's it let's just go eat somewhere out of Disney. Luckily, Epcot is my favorite park so missing out on MK due to crowds hasn't been that big of a deal to me. We are sorta bored sitting in the room though, especially since it is our last day here.

It's been a very nice trip overall though and the Disney cast members have been SO nice everywhere we go. The other day they were all lined up with mouse hands on waving at us and smiling as we went past the Innovations building in Epcot. It makes you feel so special!!

Where are you staying? Perhaps you can rent some bicycles or a surrey? Or tour other resorts? the Christmas decorations are very lovely at GF, where there is a life-size gingerbread house; WL, which also houses Roaring Forks & WCC & there is the geyser; the Boardwalk is loads of entertainment & the YC & BC have fascinating Christmas displays
We had Domino's deliver pizza to our resort (CSR), you have to meet them in the lobby or out front. the pizza was excellent. We'd arrived after midnite & didn't want to go driving around & the property choices were limited.

I'm excited just glimpsing your day! :goodvibes

I did forget about the Grand Floridian! I wanted to go over there and see the gingerbread house. I saw a thing on the Food Network and I thought it looked cool. I guess I will tell DH to get up and take me! LOL. He is tired of being dragged around the world. We are staying at the Residence Inn Seaworld which is only about a 10-15 minute drive to anywhere we want to go in Disney (so long as we don't make a mistake by not listening to our GPS). Well I guess we are off!

The Unofficial Guide is such a joke ... I always plan to visit a park opposite of the one they recommend.

I went to a Japanese restaurant there called Kobe a couple of years ago. Best noodles and teppanyaki ever! I still have dreams about it! From what I remember it was in a little strip mall in Orlando. Delicious!

Toooooooooooooooo crowded for me.

Non-Disney Food

We love Smokey Bones (BBQ). There is one on W Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy near Target.

The Pop Warner crowds probably arrived today ... football games and cheer comps all week.

wow.. very crowded! Something that we did on our last trip was that we went to MK early in the am.. rode rides till about 3 or so.. went back to the hotel and took a nap then went back into the park and stayed for EMH.. We were able to do everything we wanted to do and avoided alot of the crowds.. We also noticed the other parks werent nearly as crowded..

Well we did end up going back to eat dinner. We were planning to just go to the Grand Floridian to see the gingerbread house, but when we got there they told us there was no parking unless we had a dinner reservation. They told us to go park at the Magic Kingdom and take the monorail over. Since we were already there we figured we might as well just do our ADR. I'm glad we did because it was very good, especially the desserts!!! DH laughed at me because I had one small plate of regular food then loaded up a whole plate of desserts!! It was our last meal here so what can I say??

My desserts at Crystal Palace...

After Crystal Palace, fat and happy...

The Grand Floridian tonight:

Hi,

We were at MK yesterday and it was packed. We were lucky in enough to encounter the dream team and got dream fastpasses. All was good in the World!!! We did GF friday night and it was beautiful!!! Hope you had a great time!

Animal Kingdom was also packed today, but there were still only short waits (20 minutes) for Safari and Kali. Not bad, I'm told.
