Went with my dad today to order a headstone for my mothers grave. Yuck! Just spelling the dates for the lady made my stomach turn. 1952-2002!
No-one should die so young! Never would have thought it would still be so difficult, 4 years later. Just miss her so much.

If it makes you feel any better, we sell monuments. It isn't easy for us either. I still get teared up when folks talk about their loved ones. The sad part of my job I don't like.

They tell us the most amazing, wonderful, loving stories.
That part of my job I love.

My father died in January 2005. He'd just turned 54. We hadn't spoken for 17 years and had no relationship; I have no regrets, but...that was still too young.

I'm so sorry! You're right--way too young. No matter how old a parent is, it's always hard. My dad was 69yo and that was too young. My mother is 83yo and I can't even think about that day. But 50yo is so young and I think it makes it even harder. Sorry you're hurting so!

I'm so sorry. Yes, it is too tooo young. My only child is in the 7th grade and I can't imagine him doing what you're doing...

God bless, I miss my Mom every day and I lost her in 2002, too.

My mother dies 26 days after her 60th birthday. It's been 9 years and I am still devastated. to you.

I know exactly how you feel. My Mom died when she was 39. It just isn't fair.

The closer I get to the age my Mom was when she died, the more it hurts. It has been many many years but it doesn't go away. I know just how you feel, thinking "if I could just pick up the phone and ask her..."
