Ick, ick, ick...

I just took the dogs out to do their "business", and the Lab was sniffing around the lid of the pool skimmer (looks like a little manhole cover.) She just wouldn't leave it alone, so I took a look.

YUCK!!! Dead bird! Gross!!!:crazy2:

DH is at a movie, and there's no way I'm sticking my hand in there to dump the filter basket!

Anybody want to come get rid of it for me? :scared:

I feel your pain.....yesterday there was a dead MOLE in ours..BLECH! I guess that is better than the LIVE snakes that are usually in it!  I have a piece of wire that I use to lift it up with...sometimes the snakes will curl up at the top!

Isn't Alex in town :rotfl2:

Sorry Kathy you are on your own. (just take the dogs out front or to the park if they need to go out again)..

ew...a few times last summer, i would turn on the filter- and we have like a clean covering over a part of it near the box so we can see its on.....rats got stuck and went right up to the clear box..EWWW

We get dead squirrels. We have a big tree right by our pool, when they jump out of the tree and hit the edge of the pool, they fall off. If the ladder is in they can swim a bit and get out, but right now there is no ladder in it...so 2 so far this year. Our pool turned a lovely shade of green over the winter so we won't put the ladder in until it is drained and cleaned out. Last year when I was outside gardening I heard a splash and saw the squirrel...I tried to get it to crawl up a branch I stuck in, but it wouldn't so I ran to the garage and grabbed the ladder to put in the pool..squirrel went right to it and climbed out. I will not fish out the animals...I make DH do it.
