More of tinkgurls day:
We left off heading back towards the Streets of America to find Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater for Little Guy. While we were walking back towards the Stunt Show, we saw that the Power Rangers were out! Of course, we had to get in line. Secretly, I was excited to be in line for the Power Rangers too. Growing up, Sis and I were big fans. Grandma even had costumes made for us by a friend. I was the Yellow Ranger and Sis was the Pink Ranger. Little Guy doesnt really know who they are, but I told him they were cool and fought the bad guys. He said, They beat the bad guys up? I said, Yeah! And he said, Cool!
Of course, having three different people with cameras on the trip, we were bound to have tons of different pictures from the same moments. While we were in line, Sis, Uncle, Grandma and Grandpa were hanging out in the shade. Heres what they were looking at:
As you can see, the crowds werent too bad back there. I think everyone was inside somewhere, enjoying the A/C! haha
I told Little Guy that once it was his turn, he had to do a cool pose like them for the picture. He didnt disappoint!
First they met the Red Ranger:
Little Guy gave him a high five as he was leaving. He thought he was pretty darn cool. Then, we ran over to get in line for the Green and Pink Rangers:
He gave each of them a high five too. Haha, He was having a blast meeting characters. I was happy he was in a good mood. This day was pretty hot outside! While we were busy meeting the Power Rangers, Mom and Dad went to find some bottled water for all of us. As we met back up with them at the end of the street area, the Power Rangers started heading out. Each of them took a turn to run out and do a few poses before jumping in their car. Luckily, they were doing this right in front of us!:
After we waved by to the Power Rangers as they drove off, we headed towards the backside of Streets of America to find Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater. But first, we had to make a stop at the famous umbrella:
Fiancé, Little Guy, and Sis stood underneath the umbrella and we counted, 1..2..3! and started the rain. Little Guy thought it was pretty cool. Of course, we had to do it a couple more times before we finally had to say, Okay time to go now. Haha
I was really hoping that Lightning McQueen would still be out and he was! I remember when he was still new to DHS and they had different times that he would come out, but now Im not so sure he does that anymore. Can anyone tell me if he still does that or if he just stays out all the time?
We got in line, which was out in the open..in the baking sun! I made Little Guy keep taking drinks of water while we waited, which then led to me hoping that he wouldnt have to use the restroom before it was our turn to meet Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater. Luckily, he didnt!
Of course, once it was our turn, Fiancé really wanted to get in the pics too. Cars is probably one of his favorite Disney movies. And if you remember, he and Little Guy watched it over and over the whole drive to WDW. First up was Tow Mater. For some reason, Little Guy thought it would be hilarious to sit in his mouth, haha:
Little Guy hugged Tow Mater, then they went over to Lightning McQueen:
As you can see, Little Guy thought he was pretty cool.
We still had a little time before our TSM FP return time, so I suggested we head over to see if Kitty from Monsters, Inc. was out doing meet n greets. Everyone thought that sounded like a good idea since we were in a meeting characters mood. Once we made it to where he usually is, we saw that the line was really long! I had never seen it that long before. So, we decided to skip out on that.
I remembered that Buzz and Woody are sometimes out in this area across from TSM, so we decided to check out that line, but it was even longer than the Monsters, Inc. line! There was a CM standing at the entrance to the line and told us that the wait was almost an hour!! We definitely decided to skip on that. We still had about 10 or 15 minutes left, so we decided to just hang out around the TSM area. Little Guy saw the barrel of monkeys and started acting like a monkey. I made him and Cuz stand by it so I could get a picture:
Then, we saw that some Toy Story soldiers walking out to do a meet n greet! Little did we know, but this was going to be another one of those moments that we are going to remember forever. We hurried over and were the first ones in line. These soldiers were different than the usual ones. They just had their faces painted green, so they could talk to everyone. Little Guy ran right up to them and hugged them:
Then, they told Little Guy, Cuz, and Fiancé to stand behind them and wait. Instead of meeting and taking pictures, they walked around the area gathering up other kids and having them get in line alongside our three. Once they got enough kids, one soldier stood next to Fiancé while the other paced back and forth in front of the kids telling them that they were going to be recruited into the army.
Little Guy was being so cute. He just stood there with his hands in his pockets as the soldier paced back and forth and told them what they were going to have to do.:
First, they had to get down and get them 5 push-ups:
Then, they had to stand up and wait for their next command. Little Guy was taking this very seriously. He had his hand up to his forehead doing the salute the whole time.:
Then, they had to all face to the right:
Then the left, the back facing forward. Then, the soldiers took turns showing the kids 3 or 4 different poses that they could choose from. When they said Go!, the kids had to get into their pose. Of course, Little Guy chose his own pose, haha:
One of the soldiers would get real close to a few of the kids faces to try and get them to laugh. He tried it on Cuz and Cuz didnt even blink!:
He stood there for almost a minute and then said Cuz could stand up. It was hilarious. Then, all the kids had to put their right hand up and repeat a promise:
I cant remember what all they had to say, but it was really funny. Then, they had the kids all line up behind Cuz to take pictures.
Cuz:
Little Guy. This is one of my other favorite pictures from the trip:
Then, it was Fiancés turn:
As we walked away, Little Guy asked us if we were watching him the whole time. We told him how good he did and now all 3 of them were soldiers! He thought he was pretty cool. We were so glad that we skipped out on meeting Kitty or Buzz and Woody! Like I said, it was one of those moments that well never forget and still talk about to this day!
With big smiles on all of our faces, we headed to use our TSM FPs.
Little Guy was excited to be riding this one again.
While we were in line, he made sure to tell me that he was going to beat me again. During the whole ride, I could hear him laughing and saying Oh yeah! I was curious to see how he would do with the 3D glasses, but they didnt bother him at all! Of course, as we got off, I told him that he did indeed beat me again. He got high-fives from everyone and said Thats because Im a solider now! haha.
As we were walking away from the TSM area, Grandma and Grandpa decided that they were going to head back to the Contemporary and take a nap. I checked the time guide and saw that the next Playhouse Disney show was at 12:10, which was soon! So, we decided to head over there. Little Guy asked where we were going and I reminded him what it was since I had talked about the show with him before the trip. He was excited!
