You've discussed tattoos..how about getting pierced?

I have my ears double pierced. Actually my friend pierced my the second time and they got terribly infected. I had it redone professionally when I was 20. I admit that I would have probably done the belly ring when I was younger and had the figure for it - no way know.

For those with cartilidge piercing there was a piece on the news about how bad it is to do that. There is very little blood flow in cartlidge and it can get infected very easily. They showed a couple of girls who had to have reconstructive surgery on their ears because of the damage from the infection.

I would like a small hoop on the end of my right eyebrow but I'm too chicken. I think that of all the facial piercings, this looks really nice.

My dd wants her tongue pierced but I'm holding out until she makes high honor roll. She's never made high honor roll so you know how much I want her to do that.

I have a question for those with their nose pierced. does it feel like you want to blow the post out? I would think it would feel like there was something in there that needed a kleenex.
Also, when you take out the post, does it look like an enlarged pore or does the hole totally close up? These are things I've always wondered....thanks!

Right now I just have two in each ear. I used to have 5 in one and 4 in the other, but my hair always got wrapped around them and drove me nuts, so I let them close up. I used to have one in my nose (and for whoever asked, once you got used to it, you don't know it's there, and my hole totally closed up) and I wore a very small stud. Once I got a job as a receptionist it had to go. I ALWAYS wanted an eyebrow ring, but due to my job and fear of my mothers wrath I never got it.

Bellybutton rings are neat, but I would never wear anything to show it off!

I have always wanted to pierce one ear (left) twice but my mother gets very upset when I mention it. So at 30 I went and pierced both ears again but hated the look and it bothered me sleeping with them so I never even made it the first 6 weeks. Something about it just cheapened the look of my initial piercing.

So, if I ever decide to pierce anything, it will be my left ear again. Hey, I'm 37...why do I care so much what my mom thinks?

And no, I'd never pierce anything else.
I read in one of DH's emergency med magazines that people are piercing their uvulas (among other odd body parts )so they were telling paramedics to be very cautious if they had to inabate someone!

I have one hole in each ear and I also have my bellybutton pierced. My sister and I both got it done. For her it barely hurt, but for me it hurt a lot. I think it just depends on the person, I'm just a baby when it comes to pain. I've had the same one in since I got it pierced (September) because I have no idea how to tell whether it's healed or not.

Double piercing in both ears, always small diamonds in the second holes and usually small gold hoops in the main holes.

If I had a better body, I might want a nipple piercing.

If I had the eyebrows for it, I might consider an eyebrow ring. Mine aren't bushy or anything, but they're not eyebrow-ring-eyebrows.

I just have each ear done once. DD has four piercings in one ear and two in the other. She and my future daughter in law both have their navals pierced. DD has had hers done for about four years and the other about two. Neither one of them has had any trouble after they healed up.

Double holes in each ears....hardly ever where earrings...if I had the abs I might seriously consider a belly ring....but thats' quite a long way off...

My DW has her belly button done. It was my Valentines present from her three years ago. I love it. I just bought her a new bar with jewels on each end for Xmas. She has a single piercing in each ear but is going to get two more on each side.

I have a single piercing in my left ear but have not worn an earing for a few years. I would probley have to have it redone. I really liked it. I just wish it were more excepted on older people.
