You're the best parents in the world! I gotta pee! Where's My Tooth? Trip report!

note to self....bring disposal to handle cash. I knew there was a reason that I like to use my credit card.:lmao:

:rotfl2: I find that it's easier for me to keep up with our spending if I have cash but I certainly don't store it in my bra or my underwear. :lmao:

Wow! I thought they filled in the 20000leagues under the sea area?

That video is so cool.

I honestly couldn't remember what they did withthe 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea area other than make the Pooh play area.

Isn't the video cute!

GREAT update! And thanks for the video. That made me smile and I needed a smile. I think I might need an Oreo cookie too. Be right back....

...K, got 'em.

So, before I went upstairs I went to check on the boys and make sure Will was asleep (I knew Christian was asleep because I'd let him lay in my bed and I laid there with him until he fell asleep...he's been really clingy the last couple days for some reason). Anyway, I went into their room and Will isn't in his bed. Or in a chair in front of the tv. So I check my bed, and there he is, asleep with his brother

(pause for the "awwwwwwwwwwwww"s).

So, :rotfl: :confused3 :sad2:  and :lmao: (in no particular order) in response to all of the chit chat. I don't know what we're going to do while you're gone. Probably keep talking (or maybe I'll actually post on MY report).

That Fantasyland info is interesting! I hadn't heard about that. Looks like it will take over all of Mickey's Toontown except for the Barnstormer. Lisa, what will you do when no one knows what your name means? So everyone going soon, make sure you buy some stuff that says "Toontown" they will eventually be collector's items. I like the plans though.

I assume you all have seen the famous Disney video set to Life Is A Highway. I know Connie posted it on my PTR.

Love all the pictures, Lisa. Can't wait to see what's you'll come up with this year!

Now I'm going to go back to reading because I'm sure there have been 12 posts just since I started typing this...

First off, I'm glad that I/we were able to give you a little chuckle just when you needed it.

Awwwww to the boys being loving to each other even if it is in their sleep.

I am sure that you guys will all chat amongst yourselves while I am gone. Just know that I'll be missing ya'll too even though I'm in Disney.

I use Mickeystoontown for my user name on lots of things. The reason I did was because of: 1) my love for Disney; and, 2) in memory of Lacey's dropped Mickey ice cream.;)

I scanned the article on the Fantasyland revamping but intend to go back and read it thoroughly.

I hope that my next trip report doesn't bore you guys to tears because even though I love ya'll, I don't want to go through all of the things that we went through last trip.

Good morning, good morning, everybody good morning! Good morning, good morning to you!

Be very very thankful that you didn't have to actually hear me sing that little tune to you 'cause my singing voice is horrible! Even the shower would cring.:rotfl:

Well, I've got two people lined up to fill in for me while I am gone. I have one young girl, she's just 16, but comes recommended by one of the Judge's secretary (the one that I booked the Disney vacation for). She's supposed to call me today and come in to talk for a little while. I need to get a "read" on her to see if she can put up with the grumpy old boss. One of our attorney friends dropped by yesterday (we get that a lot since we are just one block from the courthouse). I mentioned something to him about losing my fill-in and he said I can loan you the girl I have come in and do the stuff at the office that his secretary doesn't want to do like filing, copying, etc. Awesome!

My boss has been pretending to forget that I am leaving on Thursday of next week. He has it on his calendar that I am going to be out the week of the 10th when I am actually leaving on the 6th. I emailed him last night and gently reminded him that he approved the two extra days. Actually, it's just an extra day and a half since we close at Noon on Fridays anyway. He said he thought that it'd be okay so long as I bring him another fat man Grumpy t-shirt and I get billing out before I leave. Check and Check! Aren't bosses just the most frustrating things?!?

I'm going to try to get ya'll an update posted today. I have a feeling that I need to be a little sweetie today so he won't be all puffed up and upset that I had to remind him I am leaving after work next Wednesday and won't be coming in next Thursday or Friday. Silly old man!

{sigh} okay, work if you must...

...but we're still going to be waiting for that update!

(and I hope this coming trip has less mishaps for you too...we'll all be interested anyway because Lacey will be there, so that's different. You don't need to add any "adventures" to that. Shoot...by the time you get back I'll be right at a month away. I'd be happy with pictures of the World and no commentary at all...but you do have to comment! :rotfl:)

Bosses?! I mean, come on! Don't they understand the need to DIS? LOL!

Lacey and Hunter are already thinking of "themes" for our pictures. One year, we took pictures of everybody on the park benches. Another time it was in front of bathroom signs. We try to get pictures of "different" stuff. I believe we'll have some really goofy pictures this next trip.

Bosses?! I mean, come on! Don't they understand the need to DIS? LOL!

Mine totally doesn't get the appeal of anything Disney because he can't stand kids. Hasn't found one yet that he likes. :confused3 I think that's bizarre since he specializes in family law....divorces, child custody, visitation, child support, etc.

Good morning everybody. I just got to work. The dishwasher is sitting in my garage being very quiet. I hope to work on my tr today since the boss is out but you can't control these phones. I must pay the bills and clean my desk first. You girls chat amongst yourselves and I'll join when I can. Have a great day everybody.

So, I'm bored and should be playing with the kids but instead I got a whim...
after yesterday I have been curious about Fantasyland...
so I pulled up the ariel view and yes 20,000 leagues the lagoon is still there and you can see close to the Dumbo ride there is a part of the lagoon there that would make a moat for the new Dumbo "IF THE RUMORS WERE TO BE TRUE"...

I never realized how much parking is around MK; it is so well hidden...and you would not believe how generic all the roof systems are...very interesting very interesting...if your a bored geek like me

here's the link if anyone is a geek like me:
http://www.bing.com/maps/default.as...0&scene=5219454&phx=0&phy=0&phscl=1&encType=1

Remember this is all just a leak and a rumor...
although I would love to see them do something with the lagoon

Cool! Looking at that just makes me want to go back. Even looking at it from above! Yes, the roofs are very generic. It always seemed to me that EVERYTHING at Disney should be magical, even the roofs!!!

I was about to say "good morning" but caught myself 'cause it's 12:45. I'm sitting here eating part of an Almond Joy for lunchtime dessert. Tell Don he's gotta get busy and connect the dishwasher before you get dishwater hands.

My boss came in all cheery this morning which was a plus. Figured he'd still be p.o.'d because he was ever so gently reminded about me leaving next week. He also loves his wine. He's not a wino by any means but he likes to celebrate when he wins a big trial or settles one that was supposed to be a big battle. Thus, I assumed that he would have a few glasses last night because yesterday's case settled and then would come in all puffy eyed. I so hope ya'll aren't getting the wrong impression of him because he's not a drunk and he's a super nice guy.:thumbsup2

Glad you said "must pay the bills" because I need to do that next week before we leave. I have four things coming due while we are gone. I'll just pay them ahead of time and be done with it.

I know what you mean. Where were we in Disney that we could see some of the rooftops? I can't remember......but I do remember, hey those are just roofs but they are Disney roofs!

I was eating an Almond Joy Mini when I opened up the report. Too funny.

Don makes wine. I should send you a bottle.

I got my TR started this morning and had to work for a bit instead. Will get back to it.

I am just now really getting a chance to read my emails. I am sure I have one saying you've posted on your report. I'll head over there in just a bit. How come every time we think we are going to have some free time, it just doesn't happen?:confused3

My mother enjoys wine. A glass here and there. We got tickled at her when we were driving to Georgia. She told us that she had bought a bottle of wine and when she got it home, she read the label and it didn't have one drop of fruit juice in it! :rotfl: What kind of wine is that? She was recently diagnosed with fatty liver and the doctor told her what kind of ingredients to avoid. So, she started reading labels on everything in her pantry. She pulled out some sodas that she bought at the dollar store and they had "wood particles" in them. Yes! I said wood particles. She immediately tossed them. Beware of dollar store sodas!:scared1:

I would be willing to pay for a bottle of Don's.

He gives it away to anyone willing to drink it. He does sell it at the family reunion cause we need to make money to throw a big party. My dear cousin was killed last year in a car wreck so he brought his wine he had started and finished it and bottled it. We made $600 on it at the reunion. Don has taught my brother Gary and that cousin how to make it. We had some weird stuff over the years. No wood particles tho. The black walnut one was a little weird.

I love to look at aerial maps!
I know what you mean about the underwear situation. When I travel I make sure to pack only my most comfortable bras and panties!
I also just wanted to say that on Saturday I booked a package to WDW. :cool1: I'm so exited! I changed my ticker in my signature. We'll be there in eight weeks! You are lucky you leave in one week but I'm happy to be going at all this year. Have fun!

:cheer2:you booked your trip:cheer2:
and you are leaving so soon:thumbsup2wish I could talk DH into planning a trip like that; I usually have to go every 5 yrs; so, I'm lucky to beable to plan for next year...we just need to decide "when"

Have fun...look forward to another TR...:woohoo:

By now, we all know the Disney spiel......"Move all the way down, move all the way down, filling up all empty seats." Yada Yada Yada. (added for emphasis :lmao:) Well, there was this one lady with a child who was two aisles in front of us and she refused to move down. She stopped right in the middle of the row. The castmember got back on the speaker and said the spiel again..."Move all the way down, move all the way down, filling up all empty seats." Still, she didn't move. The castmember got back on the speaker and said "M'am in the (whatever) row, you need to move all the way down. We still have people trying to get into the theater. Every seat is a good seat." The lady actually stood up and said "I'm not moving!".

About this time, the show had started even though the curtains were closed and the lights were still on. We could hear Goofy talking, then the music started and you could hear Mickey and Donald talking. Finally, two castmembers walked over to the lady and asked her to move. I could hear some of what was going on because she was sitting fairly close in front of us. She kept telling the castmembers that she wasn't moving. Next thing you know, a uniformed officer came and escorted the lady and her child out of the theater. The crowd actually clapped. I felt so sorry for her child.

After that fiasco, we had to sit and wait for the entire show to run (without sound 'cause they turned it down) before they could start the show again. The castmember came back on the speaker and apologized for the delay and made some kind of joke...something like..."I guess she didn't think we were serious when we said you have to move all the way down."

OH MY GOSH I can't believe that happened!! :scared1:

Wow I can't believe someone would rather be thrown out than to just move down the row. Her poor kid! :sad2:

I forgot to mention that John and my mother travel with a clean set of underwear in their vehicles. Their quote: "You just never know when you might need 'em."

:rotfl: Now I don't feel so bad about the roll of TP I have in my car....same reason..."you just never know when you might need it"!

:rotfl: Now I don't feel so bad about the roll of TP I have in my car....same reason..."you just never know when you might need it"!

My dad used to carry a roll of TP in the car when we were younger. I remember many a time we'd have to pull off the side of the interstate and Daddy would go running out to the woods!!! :scared1:

I'm going to go ahead and apologize for the lack of pictures in the first part of this post. Not even going to say why because you already know...just insert the same old phrase here.:headache:

You'll remember that we had done a lot of stuff in Fantasyland but still had three things that we had missed.....Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Cinderella's Golden Caroussel and Dumbo. The caroussel wasn't that big of a deal but we did want to do Dumbo (What Disney trip would be complete without it?) and Pooh. We'd come back later. Remember, the park's open until 2:00 a.m.

We walk over to Frontierland to stake out a spot for the parade and found one almost directly across the street from Pecos Bill's. There was a reason we were on that side of the street. Our plan was to watch the parade and then hotfoot it over to Big Thunder Mountain for another ride before the fireworks began. Smart thinkin' huh!

Before long, we heard the wonderful announcement that the parade would begin in just something-or-other minutes. A few more announcements like that and the music started. Then, we waited and we waited and we waited and after that, we waited some more. I totally forgot how long it takes the parade to make it to Frontierland. Can anyone say FOREVER? Say it again.....FOREVER! One more time and this time louder.....FOREVER!

The SpectroMagic parade is so magical each and every time we see it. I just love it. John blew Cinderella a kiss and she blew it back! Thank goodness Pocahontas wasn't in the parade because he would have been hiding.;) Anyway, Minnie finally comes along and John tells Hunter to blow her a kiss and she blew it back. One of the seven dwarfs came over and gave Hunter a high five. Brer Fox came by and played around with John's hat. Hey, this was a good spot! Except where was my kiss blowing Prince? Hum?:confused3

We see the very last float getting ready to come by and we jumped up and put on the backpack and made ready to beat the crowds over to Big Thunder Mountain. The float goes by, we walk really fast, and I turn around to see hordes of people behind us. Ugh, they musta had the same idea as us. We make it to Big Thunder Mountain ahead of the other people and, although I can't remember the exact wait time, it wasn't bad at all. What they say is true. Big Thunder really is different at night.

***Interruption: I just thought of something. Sometime or the other, we got on the train (not the runaway train Big Thunder) and road over to Toontown. I don't remember it being on this day. It must have been on our first Magic Kingdom day which means I missed posting something for that day. I guess it doesn't matter because I don't remember what it was to post it anyway. Sorry, let's get back to what I was talking about...

Somewhere I read that if you had seen Wishes from the front of the castle many times, why not try seeing Wishes from behind the castle. So, we thought why not give it a try. We took the wooden walkway all the way from Big Thunder Mountain over to Liberty Square and it was much quicker because most people were still on the street itself.

I look to my left and the Haunted Mansion has a 10 minute wait. What's up with that? I figured everybody would have gotten in line after the parade. Hum....we do have almost 30 minutes before Wishes so why not. A quick turn to the left and we were in line for the Haunted Mansion. This time, we walked almost all the way up to the entrance door. There's no way this will be a 10 minute wait. :woohoo:

The doors open up and all of us go in and are soon filling in all the dead space, room stretches, lights go out, see hanging Master Gracey, doors open and the herding begins. Thank goodness there were was no stinky woman in front of me. Ride, ride, ride, pop up ghosts, singing heads, floating ball, yada, yada yada, picked up a hitchhiker and we're done. Not trying to make light of the ride, it's just ya'll already know the Haunted Mansion story.

After a stop at our "secret" bathroom near Peter Pan, we walked over to see if there were any spots left to watch the fireworks in Fantasyland. Were there any spots left? Sure were! Where were all the people? Oh yeah, in front of the castle. We found a table over by Pooh's Playful Spot. John walked over to the little ice cream shop place near Snow White and got a large order of fries and two Cokes to snack on while we waited for the fireworks to begin.

Soon after we sat down, all of the empty tables had been filled and there were many people who had sat down on the pavement to watch the fireworks too.

Before our trip, I went to Michael's craft store and bought tubes of glow sticks for us to hand out while we watched the fireworks. Until now, I had forgotten all about them. We had thirty glow sticks and I just knew we'd light up a lot of kids' faces with them. Hunter wanted to hand them out but I told him that he first had to ask the parents if it would be okay to give the kids a glow stick. He said he would and off he went. Imagine my surprise when the first few parents said no. I could see that they were turning him down so I got up and walked over to him. I told them that we just wanted to let spread a little magic and were offering the kids free glow sticks. Some still said no and just looked at us like we were absolutely nuts.

Okay, do we look like mass murderers? Is my Southern accent turning these people off? Do I have a booger hanging out of my nose? Have I suddenly grown a third eye? What's the deal Lucille? We finally gave up and walked back to tell John what had just happened. He was talking to another family at the table next to him and they were from Arkansas. Finally, somebody from near our home State! They had three kids and we asked if they could have a glow stick or two. They accepted and the kids were as pleased as punch. We talked to them a little more and then we heard the announcement. Wishes was about to begin! Cue the music and tah dah! Oooh fireworks!:yay:

I know that you're probably saying I wish Lisa would just shut up and post some pictures. Your wish is my command.

We were really surprised to see just how far behind the castle the fireworks really are set off. They were way behind Pooh's Playful Spot. Would we go back there and watch the fireworks again? Yes. Was it as magical as seeing them in front of the castle? No. If we were in the Magic Kingdom for just one day, we'd be in front of the castle watching the fireworks, not the back.

Before hopping in line for Dumbo, Hunter and the kids next to us went over to this tree and played around a few minutes while the adults talked.

We wished our Arkansas friends goodbye so we could take a whirl on Dumbo.

****I'll stop here because I really really need to get some typing done. And, no, not Disboard typing.:lmao:

Wonderful day at MK. I have seen wishes from front and back. Front is better imo. But there is just something about it that makes you feel so good inside. I love the magic. I would have taken a glow stick.
