You're the best parents in the world! I gotta pee! Where's My Tooth? Trip report!

Sister Weems had a way of "entertaining" the congregation with her antics. She would normally sit at the end of the pew and dangle one leg over the end. Yes, one foot on the ground and one leg thrown OVER the end of the pew.....in a dress!

My typing teacher used to sit like that in high school. She was probably 90 at the time. We thought she was nuts. You know young people who think they know it all. We realize now that well................. she was just nuts.

Yes dear old dad begged me to elope. He couldn't stand the thought of his baby girl getting married. He actually loved Don too. Didn't count. He cried all thru rehearsal. So I guess when the day happened and he says I'll go check and see what's happening he got caught up in the moment. After about 10 minutes he comes trotting to the car and admits his error. So needless to say we laughed all the way up the aisle. Helped him a lot.

I'm with Ginny. I can't believe they actually made her leave, either. I, too, feel sorry for that woman's poor child. Bless their heart!

It seems like every time I get on Snow White, we get stopped! I guess this attraction could use some revamping!

Great update!
\

That is what is bad is she doesn't even know or care what it did to her son. So now her son can grow up to be just like her. They multiply:rotfl2:

:yay: for them escorting the lady out but I do agree poor child...

New rumor/news:
I read on the internet today; so it is a RUMOR; it was in the AOL news...that disneyworld is in the works to refreshen Fanatsyland. Adding another Dumbo ride next to the current dumbo adding a moat under the Dumbo ride as in the other parks and finally reopen 20,000 leagues but as a "dark" Little Mermaid ride...did not give a time but did say the drawings for it are complete ... :confused3 just sharing in the news I read again it is just a rumor at this point...

That is an interesting rumor. I loved 20,000 leagues. I was sad that it was no longer there. I made do.

Here's a link to a report about this same thing:

http://www.walletpop.com/blog/2009/...-plans-to-overhaul-disney-worlds-fantasyland/

I told Lacey about the wedding video and we both agreed that is somethiing that she would TOTALLY do at her wedding. She wants a "cute" dress and wear either flip flops or go barefooted. She wants is outside and the candles to be in Mason jars with little "stuff/decorations" around them. Hey, it sounds like I'm going to get away with paying for a cheap wedding.:rotfl:

She is so my kind of girl. You have not said much about Jesse this week by the way. Both my girls had cheapo weddings. They were so much fun.

HOLY MOLY. somehow I got 11 pages behind!

The ladies behind us on Stitch were absolutely hilarious. I don't think I even paid attention to Stitch because we were too busy listening to those ladies.

We once rode Star Tours with a church group of preteen girls. They were also screaming and yelling "Jesus save us!". Funny!
:rotfl2:

Oh I know everything here are work is going to work out. I have no doubt. No matter what, we are leaving after work on the 5th!

I know it will too but how frustrating for you!

I'd rather donate it to Goodwill than haggle with people.

A 2 liter Coke got dropped on the kitchen floor night before last and we wiped it up but apparently not good enough because now my floor has got sticky spots on it. And you know how when you walk in with dirt on the bottom of your shoes (no matter how little dirt it is), it sticks to those sticky places and makes dark spots on your floor. I said I'd clean it up really good after we finished walking back and forth setting up the garage sale stuff.

On top of that, John has been building a full set of kitchen cabinets and yesterday started the process of planing down some boards and sanding everything. That means sawdust gets tracked into the utility room even though he blows himself off with an airhose.

I also have suitcases strown all over my bedroom. When we got ready to go to Lacey's this past weekend, I took every piece of luggage out of the attic and threw them in our room so I wouldn't have to take them back out when we started getting ready to go to Florida. I know that we won't be using all those suitcases but I never know what ones I am going to use so I take them all out.

I couldn't agree more, that's why I don't do garage sales anymore!

That's what my house looks like all the time. Not really but in the summer, it feels like it! Sticky floors are the worst.....

Back to the trip report......we walked over to Frontierland via Fantasyland because we were hungry and wanted to eat at Pecos Bill's. Before we stopped for lunch though, my mission was to get Fastpasses for Splash Mountain. I ducked over to the wooden walkway while John and Hunter waited for me outside of the shootin' gallery.

Just as I get the last Fastpass out of the machine, John calls me on my cell and asks where I am. I told him that I had just gotten the last Fastpass and asked him why? He said Hunter had gotten chosen to participate in the Woody's Roundup street show thing (I think that's what it is called.) and was riding a stick horse around in the crowds. Of course, I had the camera. I wanted to get some pictures and knew that I had to hotfoot it over there if I wanted to get them. But, first things first, I had to put away our park tickets and Fastpasses. Don't want to lose those!

We get in line at Pecos Bill's and it's not too terribly long but it wasn't short either. We did the usual routine....John and Hunter told me what they wanted...they went and found a table....John stayed at the table and Hunter came back to stay with me until he could show me the way back to the table. It's a pretty good system of "table holding". If I am remembering correctly....

****INTERRUPTION! Bullseye! That's the horse's name.

.....we all ordered burgers and Sprites. I don't know if I told you in the first Magic Kingdom day post but we love the fixin's bar at Pecos Bill's. The sauteed mushrooms and onions are so good.

I'm going to tell you what John does with all the leftover fixin's. It's really nasty but he likes it. Would he do this at home? Absolutely not! But, he does it every time he's at Disney. It's gross so be warned.

He saves a few fries and then dumps all of the leftover fixin's (tomatoes, onions, pickles, lettuce, etc.) into the fry tray. He mixes it all up and then drops on the mayo and mustard and mixes it all up again. It's totally disgusting to us but he says that it's about like eating a tossed salad. Hum? I don't think so!:sad2:

Bummer that you missed Hunter in this show (impressive that you figured out the horses name though!). I need to make it to Pecos, it was on my list this last trip but just didn't happen. John's fixin's do sound...gross.

Ya think Hunter liked it?
100_1060-1.jpg

GREAT pics!
The first year he was tall enough to ride it, he sat with his daddy. Hunter now reveals that his daddy didn't hold him tight enough and he thought he was going to fall out of the log on the way down. Why didn't the boy tell us that before now? We have always made him ride Splash Mountain even though he didn't want to. I know. I know. Bad parents but I figured he'd like it once we got on and we only made him ride it once every trip.

So this time, I told Hunter he'd sit with me and I swore I'd keep my arm tight around him throughout the entire ride. I also made sure to point out all of the details along the ride....like the possums hanging from the tree, the turtles lying on their backs, etc. He liked the ride better but hated the last drop. He says he's going to ride again this year and that he'll probably like it. We'll see.

Oh and when did you start getting soaked on Splash Mountain? We used to get a little splash here and there and this time we got wet ! I know it was August and it was hot and all but I wasn't expecting to get really wet. Of course, after we got off the ride, we had to look around in the store a little while. Hunter declared that the ride made him thirsty so we got a Sprite from the store. All that air hitting his open mouth as he screamed probably dried his mouth out. That was mean wasn't it. Sorry!:flower3:

Poor kid! I always get drenched on this ride.

Okay, an update, just not a trip report update. That'll probably come tomorrow when I am at work. :rotfl:

There is one thing I know I need to do.......I know that most of you, if not all, are female so you'll know what I am about to say is true. I want to get some comfortable underwear. Who wants to ride in a car all day or walk through a park all day with uncomfortable underwear? "Not I" said this little piggie! Sorry if you think that's too much information to share but I now think of you all as my friends and friends talk about such things.

Not I

:)

And, some smart *** asked if John would be wearing jorts again. And then somebody posted "that's hilarious". Then the original poster came back and made another comment about jorts. Now, I know that jean shorts aren't the most fashionable thing for men to wear. But, the ones that John did have on were not the old timey cut off jean shorts or the really tight jean shorts. They were the cargo type jean shorts. Needless to say, I was pissed. I almost posted "Didn't your mama ever tell you if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all." But I didn't. I posted something funny instead.

Maybe I took it the wrong way?:confused3 Ya'll know that I have no problem whatsoever with people laughing at the things we do, the things we have happen to us or the things that we say. But I don't like being made fun of. They can kiss my Louisiana butt as far as I am concerned.

And that's my "vent for the day".

awww, I'm sorry. If it makes you feel any better, my DH who thinks he is quite fashionable, and is most of the time, has the most hideous pair of jorts known to man. I bit my tongue until about a year ago and made him retire them other than for work around the house. That said, WHO CARES! If he likes them and they aren't too short, who cares! DS16 is rather fond of manpris (and I think, looks good in them).

Now we're off to visit the 999 Haunted Mansion ghosts.

We go into the stretch room and they made us fill in "all the dead space".:rotfl: There were several older teenager couples who were beside us. John noticed they had "first visit" pins on so we told them about looking up when the lights go out. I remember the first few times we rode Haunted Mansion, I didn't know to look up to see the hanging Master Gracey above our heads. Of course, when the lights went out, they looked up and the girls screamed bloody murder. I didn't mean to scare them. I just wanted them to look up and see!:scared1:

You all know that I can't stand the whole "push your way in the line" and the whole "feel like a bunch of herded cows" part that's required to get on the ride. There has got to be a better way for Disney to handle the exiting the stretch room part. We always get squooshed.

Well, this time, I got squooshed and right behind a sweaty stinky lady in front of me. I'm sorry but don't people know that they smell? I can smell her! John can smell her! Hunter is holding his nose! Can't she smell herself? Wear deodorant people! I pack a stick of deodorant in the backpack so I can do a little touch up in the middle of the day. My makeup is worn off, my hair is sticking up but my underarms are all fresh and clean!:rolleyes1 Thankfully, when we get a little further into the herd, the stinky lady falls behind to torment somebody else's nose behind us.:yay:

I like those kind of good teenagers. They seem so hard to find now-a-days.:confused3

you know, I do think sometimes they can't smell themselves. I truly have no idea. When DSD12 was younger and first getting stinky (lol) both she, and her friends really had no clue how BAD they smelled. It was awful. And a fight to get them to put on deoderant and learn the habit. A non issue now but WHEW!

I have a feeling you'll meet tons of nice teens when Hunter is one. There are lots of them out there :)

Great HM pics!

She is so my kind of girl. You have not said much about Jesse this week by the way. Both my girls had cheapo weddings. They were so much fun.

Yes, she is very low maintenance like her mother. She and Jesse have just been hanging out at the house since they aren't doing the children's church camp. Lacey and her cousin, Ashly, used to make home movies every time Ashly came over. (They've done this since they were Hunter's age.) We had a lot of makeup, fake scars, wigs, costumes, etc. and Lacey, Hunter and Jesse have had the best time making each other up. Last night, Jesse was a zombie. Lacey was an pink ice princess. Hunter was some kind of mad scientist. Kids!

I had seen the part of the video w/the groom on the local news. that was a hoot!:rotfl2: my priest would have died and threw us all out of his church:rotfl: you have to share that one with 3princessesa&aprince

I hope Gwendolyn and Joe will be cheapo's I can dream...I keep trying to talk her into a very small beach wedding:cloud9:...my mom on the other hand (who will not be paying for this one) keeps trying to go all out...she did that for mine...give me a break or at least my wallet:eek:

Yay!!:yay: Another update today!!

Mickey's Philharmagic is such a great show!! I was so happy this year that my son actually opened his eyes through it. :laughing:His brother teased him last year that things were going to pop out at him. It really freaked him out!!:rotfl2: But this year he loved it!!:thumbsup2 Boy, they really mean business when they tell you to "move all the way down"!!:rolleyes1 I feel so bad for the poor kid.:sad2: All the mother had to do was move down, instead she ruined it for her child. That's so sad....

Love all the pictures of Snow White's Scary Adventure!!:goodvibes

That is such a great video!! So funny and unexpected!! I think I have shown it to everyone who has come over lately...:rotfl: I was telling my hubby the other night that we should have done something like that for our wedding!! He just laughed and shook his head.

note to self....bring disposal to handle cash. I knew there was a reason that I like to use my credit card.:lmao:

Wow! I thought they filled in the 20000leagues under the sea area?

That video is so cool.

GREAT update! And thanks for the video. That made me smile and I needed a smile. I think I might need an Oreo cookie too. Be right back....

...K, got 'em.

So, before I went upstairs I went to check on the boys and make sure Will was asleep (I knew Christian was asleep because I'd let him lay in my bed and I laid there with him until he fell asleep...he's been really clingy the last couple days for some reason). Anyway, I went into their room and Will isn't in his bed. Or in a chair in front of the tv. So I check my bed, and there he is, asleep with his brother

(pause for the "awwwwwwwwwwwww"s).

So, :rotfl: :confused3 :sad2:  and :lmao: (in no particular order) in response to all of the chit chat. I don't know what we're going to do while you're gone. Probably keep talking (or maybe I'll actually post on MY report).

That Fantasyland info is interesting! I hadn't heard about that. Looks like it will take over all of Mickey's Toontown except for the Barnstormer. Lisa, what will you do when no one knows what your name means? So everyone going soon, make sure you buy some stuff that says "Toontown" they will eventually be collector's items. I like the plans though.

I assume you all have seen the famous Disney video set to Life Is A Highway. I know Connie posted it on my PTR.

Love all the pictures, Lisa. Can't wait to see what's you'll come up with this year!

Now I'm going to go back to reading because I'm sure there have been 12 posts just since I started typing this...

I really thought the lagoon was still there just blocked in by winnie the pooh play area and aries grotto; I really think they have plenty of space still there just hidden from view and not have to touch toon town; there is talk of expanding the country fair for the princesses and the fairies; gosh where did I read that one?!

I'm glad that you're all caught up again. You can see that we all love to just stop and chat a while. Then, I realize that I need to get back to the actual trip report itself. But, we've all become quite good friends and friends like to talk.

The girls on Star Tours and Stitch were so funny. I love getting on rides with people who get excited about them. It make the ride so much more enjoyable.

I've actually got two people lined up to come in and do a little "mini" interview for the fill-in position. One of them is bound to work out.

Once the garage sale was over, I packed up everything and sent it to Goodwill. I can't stand haggling with people over something that is already priced super duper low.

When we built the house and for about 3 years after, I could honestly say that you could eat off the floor it was so clean. Now, I say you probably really could eat off the floor because we are constantly dropping food on it. :lmao: Seriously, it's not that nasty but during the Summer I just can't seem to make myself come in and clean. It's too pretty out.

You really need to make a stop at Pecos Bill's. To me, it's a step above regular counter service food. And, I don't blame you for not wanting to try John's "tossed salad" concoction. It's disgusting!

Thanks for the compliment on the Big Thunder Mountain pictures. I was bummed that I missed Hunter doing the roundup but I got over it pretty quickly.

Eeww! for people who don't smell their stinky selves!

I had seen the part of the video w/the groom on the local news. that was a hoot!:rotfl2: my priest would have died and threw us all out of his church:rotfl: you have to share that one with 3princessesa&aprince

The video was just the cutest thing ever! I had seem clips of it on the morning show but they didn't show it all. We all watched it again last night.

Our pastor probably wouldn't think too highly of dancing in the aisles either. The church is not super strict and there would be no problem if you were dancing when the "spirit" hit you during church but I don't know if they'd think too highly of dancing to a Chris Brown song.

Lacey has always said she wants just a cute dress, either no shoes or flip flops (she wore flip flops to her high school graduation) and didn't want anything too froo-froo or formal. Thank goodness!

How fun for them and you to witness their fun. Pictures would work.

I didn't even think about taking pictures. You could tell they were bored from just sitting around all day long. All of her friends that she would normally visit while at home are counselors at children's church camp so that's out. Lacey doesn't want to spend any of her money while at home 'cause she's saving it for vacation. I told them they should go to the local zoo which is, basically, a joke but it'd be something to do. We looked at the weather last night and, wouldn't you know it, it's supposed to rain the rest of the week.

Yay!!:yay: Another update today!!

Aw, how great was it that your son kept his eyes open throughout Mickey's PhilarMagic. Now he knows that nothing's going to pop out at him and it's a fantastic show.

I absolutely love the wedding video. I think I could watch it over and over again. Poor John has no rhythm so he'd probably look like the bald guy in the video. :rotfl2:
