Are you not tired of that place yet? Who has heard this before? Let me know how you reply to these type questions.

I personally think that people who ask that question are just jealous that they are not going.

I have a MYSPACE and it was done in all Disney because I was excited about my trip and after I got back I just left it that way for a few weeks and my lil sis says, " Are you ever going to change your MYSPACE page, I have people on my friends list wondering why you are so obsessed with Disney"....My response was," You are just jealous that you have never been to Disney, and do you really think I give a rip what "YOUR FRIENDS" think???"

Yes I could have handled this in a better way, but her SMART A$$ comments just really PI$$ me off sometimes and this was one of them!!!

Way to go Jen!!! I fel bad for those who cant experience all the magic Disney has to offer. :thumbsup2

I am just now picking up the pace with my trips... just now can afford them... so I'm bound to start getting comments. Before anyone has a chance to say anything, though, I completely and thoroughly explain how completely and thoroughly EXCITED AND HAPPY I am to go! So they just laugh it off and wish me well. Ahahahaha!

I don't know who's more excited, me or the kids. Lol!

I usually ask "Have you been there?"

Because once someone has been, they understand. The rest are just living a sad existence, not knowing what they're missing!

I only went to Disney for years, hardly anyplace else.

Then, last year, I went to Korea. The world is a huge, varied, beautiful, wonderful and exciting place. From now on, I'll do both.

We get, but wouldnt you rather just sit in a beach and drink and do nothing at all. Um no is our usual answer. We are not the type of people to do that. After a day I would be going stir crazy. We normally know just say we are going on vacation. Its naturally assumed that we are going to WDW now. The only family member that gives us grief over it is DB. He's not been since he was 7 and I think he's jelous but wont spend any $$ on vacations, he just stays home for them. My DSister and her family come with us as they too have seen howuch fun it is!

We just returned on Sat form a wonderful, magical week at Disney and we're trying to get back in Dec for the holidays. I'm already getting those comments from our family -- "you were just there!, again?, why?" Most of them have never been so I can understand their questions. Once you've been you understand! I just smile :) and say "we love it!".

I'm definitely tired of hearing the "You're going again!" statement. There are certain folks that we just don't bring it up to anymore because of how they react. When they do say it, I'm polite and say "Yes, we're really excited about it."

I know that some of the folks that say it to me, really don't believe that you can relax at Disney. They believe that you get up at the crack of dawn, hit the parks, and leave at bedtime everyday of the trip. We recently took the grandparents. They have been making the comment for years. At the end of our trip, they went on and on about what a great "relaxing" trip it was. They now understand and are begging to go back with us again. Since we told them that we were going this time, we got the "Can we go too?" comment this time.

I stopped telling people we are going. If they ask where we are going I just say Florida. They can assume we mean disney, but unless they ask, "are you going to Disney" I just say Florida and let it drop.

When people say this to us we just tell them "Yes! We would live at the castle if we could!!!" :cloud9:

Or do you get the, " Can you really afford to go there again?"

I hate that one!!!!! If I couldn't afford it I would not be going!!! Like it is anyone's business what I can and cannot afford anyway...ACCKKKK
You have struck a nerve in me with this thread.. :rotfl2:

We are not going to Disney this summer and we are going to camp in our camper in Myrtle Beach instead and while I LOVE Myrtle Beach :beach: ( I used to live there) I am scared to death that after 2 days of me seeing everything that I want to see I am going to be sitting and twidling my thumbs!!! We will be there for 10 days!!! Wish me luck!!

I think now, after so many trips, my friends and family pretty much know that we are WDW fans (putting it mildly ;) ). So now, their question to me is, "so, when are you going back to WDW?" :lmao:

It used to bother me when people would say negative things about MY family vacations. Not any more...........I think they were just jealous.

I'd love to see your page! I have a hard time finding disney lo's.

And yes, I do get that question alot. It's very annoying, and they are jealous!

Honey, all the time! One lady(co-worker) said to me,"don't ya'll ever go anywhere else?" My response: "Yes, we do but WDW is still our favorite!" Mine your own business, why do u care? We go to the beach every summer, etc. but nothing compares to our most magical place-WDW! Oh, the other secretary that works in my office has the nerve to tell me, "her daughter wouldn't like WDW!!!!!!!!!!! Have you ever heard of such? It makes me grow fangs! Her poor 11 yr dd will never get to go to WDW! "She would probably like to go to Seaworld because of the animals" WHATEVER!!!!!! It kills me. But let's just all enjoy going to our favorite place and remembering what we feel like while we are there. I'm going 5 times next yr!!! Can't wait!!

It doesn't bother me when I get that from friends but it really burns me when I have to hear it from family.

My FIL loves disney and 3 out of 4 of his kids do to. (Thankfully, I'm married to one of them.) But the one who "doesn't get it" is constantly ripping into the rest of us when we start planning the next trip. We usually travel in packs. :grouphug:

His family came with us one time and did not enjoy it at all. (We did a GG with 24 people, maybe it was overkill.) Ok fine, but that didn't put a damper on it for the rest of us. We are happy for them when they plan a vacation, why can't they be happy for us when we plan ours.

My FIL says its frustration because we are all always really excited about our vacations and his trips to NC or VA don't pack the same punch. Whatever...

No one is going to rain on my parade! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Starting here also, we are planning our 13 trip to WDW next may. The inlaws are already saying WDW again, and most of them have never been. WE did go out to Grand Canyon,Las vegas this summer for a change. I do have one rule when we go to WDW-NO INLAWS NO PHONES NO FRIENDS.....221 days on our count down chart until we leave for WDW...

This is so funny :rotfl2: I love hearing how other people go through the same thing I do!! Atleast we can understand eachother. I love this website!!! :thumbsup2
I went for the first time 3 years ago on my honeymoon! I have been hooked ever since. I didn't know what I was getting into. Nobody in my family had ever gone before. All I talked about was wdw. They would make their comments all the time, mostly just in jest. I knew it was just because they didn't understand. The next time I went I talked my sister and her family, my mom and my brother into going with us. THEY LOVED IT!!! :woohoo:
Now my mom and dad are planning to go for their anniversary next month!! That's all my mom can talk about :)
Plus, my other sister and her family were in Florida and got the chance to go for the day. Well, they went again the next week and then the next month. Now we are planning our next trip with them for about 10 days!! :yay:
My other brother and his family are planning to go sometime next year after she has her baby! I take full credit for all this. :cool1:
Yeah, I still get the comments from some of my other family and friends but it's so rewarding when because of you they and end up a disney freak like the rest of us!!!!! :bounce:
