You're daughters wear what?!?!? oh shiny!

So did the girls roll their skirts? That's what we used to do. Let's just say that we ended up looking a lot different than when we left the house. :)

Ugh, I've heard about how hard it is to find acceptable Halloween costumes for girls and I'm not looking forward to that in a few years.

Thankfully, it seems that most of the girls in my area have parents of a like mind b/c I rarely see girls dressed in skimpy clothes. Or maybe it's just too cold here in the frozen north.

I cannot fathom wearing skirts that short. I would always be tugging at them.

My Dad always had panic attacks when my skirt was just above my knee, I can not imagine what he would have said if I had come downstairs wearing either of those outfits.

I once had a skirt that shrunk a bit in the dryer , I got busted at school for wearing it about an inch to short. Mom had to bring me something else to wear, I never saw that skirt again. There was no fight lol, it just disappeared. Every time I asked about it Mom just played dumb :rotfl:.

I did the same thing with my oldest. Anytime a tshirt came in the house that I disapproved of, it just went "missing" . LOL he still hasnt caught on. ; )

I work in our high school and it just amazes me what these girls wear. The shirts are so incredibly low cut and I swear they all buy their bras at Victoria's Secret. I sit at my cash register so I'm right at **** level. :sad2:

DH I have that thought in church frequently...and we're not prudes. I can't believe how some of these parents let their kids dress.

Of course half the time when I see mom then it all comes together, unfortunately.

Ain't it the truth? Several years ago, in church, there was a 12 year old there with a see through shirt and a black bra on underneath. Trashy....

My dad's daughters are a couple of tomboys, so I don't really "get" the whole Schoolgirl Skank Skirt phenomenon. I have had more than one so called friend make the snarky remark that if I were as little as some of these girls, I'd wear that kind of stuff too....Uh no....it's called class.

Oh and fireflydancerguy......you must have it going on when you can come into a thread, make a comment that you actually like hoochies (though I pray a joke), and get like ten moms hitting on you.:confused3

Hey wait...firedancer, do you like Notre Dame? Just curious ;)

And don't forget to add me too! :lmao:

But I agree with the way girls are dressing these days. Maybe I'm the only one, but I love and miss how girls/ladies dressed on I Love Lucy and during those years, with those demure hats and a-line dresses and skirts, flats ... it was elegant! I wasn't around then but I still can appreciate the look now and I always try to find classy clothes like those to wear and model some of my looks on those items.

I'm 16 and me and my friends are flabbergasted at what girls wear sometimes. If we have dresses we always have them at our knees and our shorts are always mid-thigh, bermuda, or boy shorts. We could never feel comfortable in anything shorter than that, I'm not sure any of us have even wore a skirt before! We're modest with our clothing but we'll wear tank tops and things, I'm sure our mom's would have a fit before we left the house in mini skirts and low cut tops!

Last year at our Halloween parade, I didn't see anything worse than boys dressing as girls. But the MOM'S were AWFUL!!! I mean, a sexy witch with thigh high stockings and a skirt up to her who-ha? At an elementary school?!?!?!?!

Some of us aren't cougars either. :rolleyes1

My DD13 is horrified at what some girls she has seen wear. She can't believe they left the house looking like they did. She wears uniforms to school and there is a strict dress code. So no one on campus wears that skimpy stuff.

You can add me to the FireDancer fan club and I am no cougar. I am sure he has a great...personality...yeah that's it personality.

And yes I agree some of the stuff you see girls wearing today is just mind boggling. Though sometimes the grown women are worse. Oh the stories I could tell about the clothes I saw at the Phoenix U2 show recently. We hit the superfecta multiple times...stripper shoes, bad Botox, fake ****s and a sugar daddy to round it all off.

Haha, for sure, I think we need to get some FireDancer fan club tshirts made or something. ;)

Back OT, the thing that drives me nuts is when girls show up to class looking like they think it's a runway. It's like, girl.. it's 8am, it's freezing outside.. no one needs to see your tata's right now. :sad2:

I work in a fairly wealthy hs. This look is quite commonplace. I have gotten desensitized to it. We have a dress code. However, the administrators are generally male. It looks kind of bad to call a girl on her skimpy clothing. One day there was a crack down and the line of girls waiting for mom to bring them a clothing change was outside the door.
