You're daughters wear what?!?!? oh shiny!

Some of us aren't cougars either. :rolleyes1

::yes:: :rolleyes1

aaaaaaaaanyway, yes i totally agree.

when i was younger, i totally didn't get it, but now that i'm old and curmudgeonly at 23, i am fairly disgusted by what i see teens wearing. :headache: this is why people freak out when something like the Miley Cyrus cover scandal happens - um, hello, she's SIXTEEN, i saw absolutely nothing appropriate or artsy about that photo.

when i was in Catholic high school, it was always the middle school and younger high school girls that rolled their skirts, never the more senior grades...it just seemed like, once we got older, we just stopped caring

This is starting to feel like an interview.

Hey wait...firedancer, do you like Notre Dame? Just curious ;)

Not really. I am an Ohio State fan so I like Notre Dame once a year when they are playing Michigan. I did do a run in June though that finished on the field of Notre Dame Stadium.

I'm sure he's legal, so it's okay.:lmao:

I have been for quite some time. They let me vote, rent cars, and even pay taxes (my all time favorite!)

You went out? Hope it wasn't with a girl or your fan club might become mighty jealous.

And not that your fan club is stalking you or anything but you left your blinds open and you really need to vacuum.

No, I was at the gym and then went to a coffee shop to feed my caffeine addiction and do a little reading.

I probably do need to vacuum. I did mow the lawn, rake leaves, and do laundry today though (I was off for Veterans Day) so I can't say I slacked off.

And whom ever mentioned fan club shirts, Dave beat you to it. :rotfl2:

i made a mistake. dude is in his 30s, so "cougar" doesn't apply, as he's not young enough for cougars to prowl around. he's cougar age, himself. he just looks like a teenager. so go for it, young and old. well, not young... you pumas need to find someone your own age.

i was in high school during the late 80s. i did happen to find a picture of me wearing this hideous blue bare midriff dress with my huge hair while at the beach, but this brings up a good point. we wore this stuff at the beach. i would have gotten my butt whooped for wearing that at home.

i ALWAYS wore underwear, too. it's a trend with these girls that started with the thong. then lindsay, paris and britney got all this attention for going even further than that, and voila... new trend for girl wannabees.

i hope that when my daughter enters junior high that the trend will have gone back to the days of grunge rock, where flannels and old blue jeans from the thrift store were all the rage. :)

Ya' know I was surprised that this thread had so many replies when I caught up with it this morning. Good hijack ladies!!

So have we determined FireDancers availability? I mean heck I'm single, love Disney, think he's cute. Although I think I'm past cougar, more like mammoth!:lmao:

No you're not EG!!!!

My DD11 is impossible to buy for. I look at skirts at stores and the micro skirts that need shorts underneath don't have any. How do you wear those things? There is no way in hell my DD is wearing one of those things. I have her trained.... when she looks at a short skirt she looks for built in shorts. If there aren't any she knows to keep looking. lol

Those aren't even "legal" in our schools anyway.

popcorn:: Just hanging out wondering if FireDancer is going to take anyone up on their offer. BTW, single, cougar-age, and Disney lover here too:laughing:

I'm not a sports fan at all but I have enough loyalty to my school to root for whoever Michigan is playing. ;)

I've been to a few DMB concerts, too. :goodvibes

... enjoy your fight ladies! This thread cracked me up. :rotfl:

I love a good hijack thread!! this one is awesome..
:cool1:

This turned out to be a much more, um, interesting thread than I expected. Please don't tear the boy to pieces during the fight.

As for clothes, I noticed quite a bit on Halloween. My oldest DD wanted to be a jedi and was covered neck to toe. We ran into some of her friends while trick or treating and difference in costumes was shocking.

I prefer to let you guys fight it out amongst yourselves.

:rolleyes1

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Sorry I got this whole ball rolling here, but you ARE very handsome, very polite, and seem to be quite intelligent as well..:goodvibes

I'm going to have to take a pass though - I'm old enough to be your mom..;)

The rest of you youngin's - carry on! :lmao:

Oh Lord C.Ann I'm old enough to be his mother too and if I started having kids at 14 and my 14 yr old had a baby then I'd be old enough to be his grandmother.:thumbsup2

Back when I was a 16 year old boy I loved the parents that let their 16 yo daughters wear such outfits. :cool1::lmao:

:rotfl::rotfl:

So you're the one that all us mom's told our DD's to "stay away from"?? :rotfl:

Yes, and don't worry, they obviously not only got the message but are still doing it just to be safe. :rotfl2:

Awww.. That can't be true.. If you're the fella in your signature, I'm sure you have girls falling all over you..:goodvibes

LOL you can add me to that list too !! HAHA, just what you need an over 35 fan club ;):lmao:.

add me, add me:rotfl: Are you blushing yet firedancer?:rolleyes1

Almost 40 here and I think you're quite handsome :) Sounds like you got the corner on the "older women" ;)

My DD14 loves to wear those teeny little skirts with the pleats; she wears 'em with a pair of leggings and a NORMAL shirt; usually ballet flats or her DC sneakers for shoes. So yeah, she wears the teenies but NOT by themselves and NOT as part of a "ho" ensemble.

It disgusts me that parents let their kids dress like this; these are also probably the same parents who are HORRIFIED when they hear their kid was propositioned (or worse) by an adult. WHAT are they expecting when their kid looks like she's for rent??? :confused3

add me to the list too FireDancer.... dern!

what was this thread about anyway??? lol!!

yes, firedancer, you've developed a fan club :) if the girls aren't chasing you, they're missing out.
now, back to the OT, my DH would ground my daughter for life for wearing one of those hooker outfits. halloween was a nightmare-i found ONE costume that would be appropriate, and thankfully, she liked it (50's girl with poodle skirt). she wears jeans with cute shirts (nothing even remotely low-cut), capri pants, culottes...her school's dress code is fairly strict, thank goodness, and their required PE clothes are modest (t-shirt and basketball shorts).

firedancer has a fan club of cougars! LOL

And don't forget to add me too! :lmao:

But I agree with the way girls are dressing these days. Maybe I'm the only one, but I love and miss how girls/ladies dressed on I Love Lucy and during those years, with those demure hats and a-line dresses and skirts, flats ... it was elegant! I wasn't around then but I still can appreciate the look now and I always try to find classy clothes like those to wear and model some of my looks on those items.

You can add me to the FireDancer fan club and I am no cougar. I am sure he has a great...personality...yeah that's it personality.

And yes I agree some of the stuff you see girls wearing today is just mind boggling. Though sometimes the grown women are worse. Oh the stories I could tell about the clothes I saw at the Phoenix U2 show recently. We hit the superfecta multiple times...stripper shoes, bad Botox, fake ****s and a sugar daddy to round it all off.

I think he needs to branch out and start posting on the DIS solo board.. His PM box will be overflowing..:flower3:

Or he could just PM me and have no need for the Solo board. :rolleyes1

I'm sure he's legal, so it's okay.:lmao:
DUDE...................i'd use the old "get a room" but it looks like you will need the whole floor...................hope you are up to it..........:)

So what are those of us in our 20s? Kittens? :rotfl:
LOL....hopefully, you're not chasing after guys that are more than 8 years your junior if you're in your twenties. I didn't know what the difference between a puma and a cougar was myself until I looked it up on Google.
