Your Unpopular Opinions

I'll throw a big one on the table. I don't believe in man-made climate change. Ever hear of the ice age? Pretty sure there were no lawn mowers around then. Or during the dust bowl. Or many other times in the history of the earth when the climate really did change in a drastic way.

My father told me long ago to follow the money. Climate change industry is now a multi-billion dollar operation. Do you really think the scientists involved would come out and say "we got nothing?" All those people would be out of work. Just look back on all the warnings we've hear for the last 30 years. None of it has happened! Polar ice cap is actually GAINING ice. Average temperatures are actually DOWN across the world. Sea levels are down. But it all sounds convincing, so we as lemmings follow along. After all, people always quote "97% of scientists agree." True. And so would I if I worked for some foundation that got millions of dollars in grant money.

Can I kiss you??

Here's more:

Ducklips just look RIDICULOUS.
I don't care if your kid is an honor student.
I hate when people arrive late (my husband is one of the worlds biggest offenders).
I hate Frozen.
I don't want anyone to visit me at my house. Ever.
I don't like any professional (or college) sports.

1. Just because a person enjoys wine or beer doesn't mean they are a lush and walk around EPCOT at Food and Wine drunk or drive around drunk. Nothing wrong with a grown person having a drink.

2. It's crazy to have a baby shower for a baby of the same sex a few years later. Did you NOT save all the stuff you had from the other one?

3. I'm going to catch heck for saying this out loud outside of my family, but I HATE how breast cancer is given a huge month, but other cancers are ignored.

This goes for Caitlyn Jenner. It's like we are not to even acknowledge Bruce ever lived. You know, the man who was man enough to father 6 children? But all of a sudden is a female. And heaven forbid if you slip and say "He" for Bruce/Caitlyn. You will be crucified.

I've been looking for an excuse to post this...

Here's my new unpopular opinion...
75% of this thread is filled with thinly (and not so thinly) veiled judgements.

I'm going to say 100% of this thread is filled with not so thinly veiled judgments and I think it is awesome! :drinking:I love that everyone is letting loose and this had remained an extremely civil thread.

I think we're growing up:rotfl2:Look at us DISers being all mature!

Some of it makes me happy that I don't know some of you IRL. I'm sure the feeling is mutual though.

High School dress codes are out of control.

At my kids' school they are subjective depending on who the offender is. This week is Homecoming week and the kids get to dress in costume. A Facebook post showed the Asst Principal dress coding a girl for a skirt an inch above the knee while in the same picture there was a boy who was in school shirtless. It's crazy.

Alright, Soldier's--Get your darn cat off the counter already:laughing:

Seriously, I think this thread is hysterical. Even the stuff I disagree with is making me smile in this thread. I think it is all written so bluntly and comically.

What specifically is bothering you?

Haha... You don't want a cat hair cookie?

I'm not really bothered. I just think some of the replies aren't that lighthearted.

A few, plus I think the "replies" to opinions questioning them was not what was intended, but it's actually stayed on track quite nicely, I think!

A couple more I thought of that need no replies from this thread cause I know they really ARE unpopular!

I LOVE being a MRS.!!! I'm not a lesser "woman" because I feel that way.

Men need to be men.

I think we're over-regulated to the nth degree.

The Paleo, Nutrisystem, Atkins etc...diets are rubbish.

College brainwashes kids. That's not education, it's indoctrination.

I don't "get" crude humor. It's just not funny!

I also hate cilantro.

I think folks who say that a stay at home parent of kid(s) in school full time (past age 5+) really should be called 'unemployed' have never had kids past age 5 yet.

I have 2 children, ages 17 and 19 and I stand by my post 100%. But, let's not bicker. It's just one little opinion on a thread that is meant to be a safe-zone. #ALLOPINIONSMATTER

I'm not mad. I was just putting my unpopular opinion. I used to be of the same opinion, that parents can go back to work once kids are in school...then my kids were in school and our lives were more hectic than ever. I have 2 in HS and 1 in college and I stay home still. It would be difficult for me to hold any kind of meaningful job since I have so much running to do and other stuff (also due to my DH having a very demanding career). I must say, families where both parents work (or single working parent)...don't know how they do it all and my hat's off to them.

I have to say it - I love cilantro! But I don't like the way Tex-Mex is getting odder and odder. I prefer the old fashioned fajitas and tamales and enchiladas. The current modern burrito trend doesn't do it for me.

Here is an unpopular opinion: I think people who stay at Deluxe resorts at WDW should get Deluxe dining when it is offered free, as well as 4 fast pass + reservations per day.
