Hi just wanted to get some feedback on your thoughts of our ADR's. "We" consist of myself, DH and DD(6). This is a much needed trip, it has been a VERY diffucult year for all and know that the World is what we need right now. We are on the DDP so we plan for a few ADR's, here they are:

1st night we arrive we are at 1900 Park Fare for dinner
2nd ADR is The Wave for dinner
3rd is Boma's (must have for us)
4th Cape May Buffet
5th Askerhus for breakfast (not so sure about this one)

That would be our 7 TS for our trip. I am not so sure about Askerhus and can't really say why, just not so excited about it. We can't do any other type of character meals because DD is terrified of anything that doesn't resemble a person. Yes I know can you believe she is scared of Mickey up close and any other character for that matter?? Looking at our ressies I would really love a true sit down meal where someone is serving me for once!!! But not sure if I should make any changes. So that is where you all come in. Please don't be shy any opinions of my list or any recommendations you have are greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Well, I've never been to Askerhus for breakfast but if your not sure, why not do CS for breakfast (maybe somewhere different, like the POLY and have Tonga Toast;)) and book a TS for lunch in World Showcase like Le Cellier etc.
Good Luck!:dance3:

First of all, you mention 7 TS locations, but you only have 5 listed. None of the ones you listed are 2TS locations. For the Noway meal, I would definitely do the breakfast--the last seating possible. We had dinner there and the food was not good. This way, you can make RD and still have plenty of time to get over there for breakfast.

As for your other meals, you are choosing only meals at resorts. I don't know if you have a car or not, but getting from resort to resort can really eat up a lot of time--keep this in mind. Also, you can mix up breakfast, lunch, dinner--this way you won't feel locked into only dinners.

I think there are some really nice kid-friendly places that don't include characters. Some that come to mind include 'Ohana dinner, WCC at WL, Teppan Edo in WS/Japan, Biergarten, and Tony's at MK.

The only one that I will comment on is your Cape May buffet. Unless you are staying at an Epcot area resort or you love clams, it is nothing special. We ate there because we were at BCV--nice and convenient. A friend of mine went there last month and is a clam fan--she said they weren't good. How did I know--I don't like clams! Good luck!!!!!

Maybe substitute Akershus for a non buffet themed TS...

I can't review any of these from personal experience, yet, but am looking forward to them in 10 days!

Coral Reef
50's Prime Time
Sci Fi - but since your little one is afraid of characters this one might not make her very happy...just a little dark... and the food is just ok..

Good luck and whatever you chose I hope your vacation is just what you needed!

First, thank you for your advice. I am sooo glad you noticed the TS credits I was counting, I was told by MS that they were 2 TS for 1900 Park Fare and Askerhus. I just checked on the chart and it does say 1 so wonderful, I have 2 more I can use.

We do have a car so we aren't so worried about getting around. I was thinking about Tony's at MK but thought I didn't have any credits left. As for Cape May Buffet, its completely for DH, he loves seafood (clams, mussels, shrimp etc.) myself and DD don't eat seafood at all. But since I don't make it at home I figured we will get through it for him.

I may have to rethink our ADR's now that I know about my extra TS's - oh what to do, what to do???

Thanks!!!

We actually enjoy Cape May, and we do not eat seafood. Since your hubby enjoys seafood, I bet he will like it. The Flying Fish gets rave reviews, but I think it may be 2 credits....we do not do the dining plan so I am not sure.
We went to 1900 Park Fare once for dinner, and I really disliked it. We like several restaurants in the parks. A few of our favorites are Le Cellier, Mama Melroses and 50's PT. Have fun!

We love Cape May Cafe and you do not have to like or love seafood to eat there, they have a nice variety. After dinner there since we love it and eat more than we should, we always go for a nice walk around the boardwalk.:goodvibes

We were at WDW in April, and I was apprehensive about Askerhus before we left, but it turned out to be one of our favorite meals. We had lunch there and I was pleasantly suprised at how good the food was and the service was terrific. We could have filled up just on the salads, shrimp, etc. from the buffet bar, but also enjoyed our entrees.

Park Fare was our least favorite and it was one I was really looking forward to. It wasn't that anything was terrible, but there was nothing that tasty there either. Lady Tremaine and Cinderella's step-sisters were not a big hit with my 2 year old. She wanted to know why the princesses were being mean and kept asking when a nice princess would be coming to our table. Your 6 year old will likely be able to appreciate them more.

We also loved Ohana if you're looking to add something else. I'd read mixed reviews before going, but we had a great experience there. DD loved the hula dancing, getting a lei, and the food was great.
