I think that’s a new tourism slogan for Nebraska. At least that’s what the report I heard on NPR said. For example I've heard in Nebraska it is, Not for everyone. Please correct me if I've heard it wrong.
Mine is, 'Yours to discover' here in Ontario, Canada
However, The Heartland Province, and Province of Opportunity are as well.
The Volunteer State
The official state slogan is "Tennessee - America at its Best," & our state motto is "Agriculture & Commerce."
I believe our current tourism slogan is "Tennessee - Sounds Good to Me," but it's also been "The Stage is Set for You" & "We're Playing Your Song."
A good one for Louisiana might be "We're not Illinois". And Illinois could be "We're not Louisiana." I've lived in both states.Apparently ours has been updated. I always knew it as Sportman’s Paradise. But now there are 2 others & they’re “Fall in love with Louisiana all over again” & “Come as you are. Leave different.”
My husband is from Quebec, where it is "Je me souviens", which means "I remember". Which my husband says is a veiled threat to the rest of Canada lol.
Don't mess with Texas
My state has already been covered, so I'm here to represent for Wyoming.
According to wyo.gov, they're the Equality State, and their motto is Equal Rights. Other fun facts: the state coin is the golden Sacajawea dollar, and the state dinosaur is the triceratops. (Do all states have a state dinosaur?!?)
I like that!! lolMy husband is from Quebec, where it is "Je me souviens", which means "I remember". Which my husband says is a veiled threat to the rest of Canada lol.
A few years ago there was a campaign to come up with something different as our state slogan.
Some of them were pretty funny (and true!):
Our Favorite Reader Submissions for Massachusetts State Slogans
We asked for suggested state slogans, and you obliged.

The state’s tourism chief wants to do away with Massachusetts’s dullsville state slogan, “It’s All Here,” so we asked you, dear reader, to help us brainstorm some new suggestions. And brainstorm you did.
Not all the submissions made on our Facebook page were great. (Some of you should really stay away from careers in marketing or comedy writing.) But many were. It’s easy to make jokes about taxes (more on that in a moment), but it’s hard to come up with a real tourism slogan that doesn’t sound super lame. Among the earnest suggestions we liked:
“Massachusetts: Where it began.”
Or
“An Uncommon Commonwealth.”
Or
“Wicked Revolutionary.” (We know jokes about regionalisms are a little tired, but this one worked for us anyway.)
Of course, most of you did not take this exercise seriously, but we appreciated your submissions anyway. Submissions like:
“Massachusetts: Florida’s Summer Home.”
Or
“Massachusetts: “Hard to spell, impossible to beat.”
Or
“Massachusetts: Say hi to your motha’ for us.”
Sometimes, state slogans can serve a practical purpose, so we enjoyed this submission:
“Massachusetts: Oncoming traffic yields at rotaries.”
Slogans can also exhibit a bit of bravado. Some states take the chance to display an ego. Delaware’s, for instance, is “It’s Good Being First.” With that in mind, we liked:
“Massachusetts: Kiss our Mass.”
As we said, not all suggestions were good. Many of you are still feeling that April 15 sting, and suggested something to the effect of “Open Your Wallet,” or “Bend Over.” Let’s exclude those from consideration. This is for tourismpeople. State slogans can be occasions for political statements. (Washington D.C.’s is “Taxation without representation.”) But many of you got, shall we say, a bit too political. Like this commenter’s suggested slogan:
“Welcome to the land of do nothing hacks who get us to do their jobs for them. They were too lazy to come up with a slogan yet take a paycheck every day anyway. How’s that?”
Well, to tell the truth, it needs work, bud. It’s a little verbose, and honestly, we’d probably just as well stick with “It’s all here.”
Good thread, NFLDERS

I know Lowell, but I had to look up the Southern Cross disaster. How sad! https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/SS_Southern_Cross_(1886)My father, and his youngest sibling were born in Lowell, Massachusetts. He was only 2 years old when his mother was deported back to Newfoundland. Her first husband perished on the Southern Cross sinking, and she took her 2 older children whom were Nflders to try life in the USA living with an Aunt who had herself left Newfoundland decades earlier. Life was hard.
Nevada is “The Silver State” and we are “Battle Born.” I am not aware of any unofficial slogans. Vegas of course has had many over the years. This past year it has been “Vegas Strong.” With the one year anniversary of the shooting there was an effort to make it “Vegas Stronger” but it hasn’t really stuck. The Vegas Golden Knights use “Vegas Born” and we natives and long time residents have appropriated that for ourselves. Being “Vegas Born” I admit I’m a sucker for that slogan and will pick up just about anything with it on it.
