Your Shameful Disney Secret??

Welcome to the 'I hate Disneyland' thread!

:lmao:

Okay, let's run my list. I'm a little bored with IASW. I love crowds. I think Tarzan's tree is a waste of space. Was bored with RDCT the first time I saw it. Think the middle of F! is a little boring (but I love Maleficent). Don't like Innoventions or Storybook. Am really not familiar with Critter Country. And the best one: I get bored with Jungle Cruise, but I still love it. Make sense? Nope.

After seeing all these "dislikes" I am sitting here shocked. I love Tiki, fantasmic!, parades, and really am ok with DCA.

Now with all that said....I am bored with Star Tours. It isn't nostalgic to me at all.

I hate Star Tours! It is SOOOO dated and boring.

I have never ridden the Mark Twain River Boat, or the Columbia, or the Canoes! (would like to though).

As for the previous posts, I too love the POTC smell. I think of Disney every time I smell musty water and it makes me happy!:cloud9: Wishing I was there.

This has been really fun to read!

I guess that I'm somewhat of a DLR newbie, having only been for the first time in 2006 and again in 2008.

I can't do star tours...it makes me motion sick...

I don't really care for the ride-through rides...snow white, pinnochio, winnie the pooh, toad, and so on. I've been on them once, it's just that I guess I would much rather watch the movies than ride through the movie. I know that it's nostalgia for some, and I completely get that though!!

I've never seen ANY fireworks show or ANY parade at WDW OR DLR...I hate crowds like many of you mentioned where people fight for space.

You'll also never get me on splash mountain. The drop will make me NEVER ride it. Same with Screamin' and Tower of Terror. ;)

I'm sure there's more, but I will leave you with those for now!

The characters? They're not real! They're just young people in costume. I can fake Mickey Mouse's signature...why waste park time standing in line to have some kid do it for me?

:lmao:

PFFT!!
No one hates Disneyland!!! And if they do, they're not on the boards! :hippie:

That being said... I have been known on more than one occasion to break out into Disney song!

And to cheer myself up I will play a disney soundtrack and sing along to it!!

My personal favorite is "That's How You Know" From Enchanted! :yay:
(I'll just sing that one because)

I have to say that even though we all have our strong dislikes at the park, there seems to be the common thread of Disney Magic that all must feel the same for all of us. Even though the details may be different , the effect of pixie dust or Disney Magic or maybe even the sound of Walt's voice or something strings us all together. In that vein I shall continue.....:rotfl2:
I used to love the Autopia, but now, it just reminds me of sitting on the 405 freeway. The smell of the exhaust really just reminds me of L.A. traffic. And sitting in L.A. traffic doesn't remind me of going to Disneyland. I wish it were transferable. Can you feel the love tonight?:rotfl2: :wizard:

Next, I don't get the excitement of the ELP. Seriously, it's a bunch of lights with electronic music. :confused3

You're too young to "get it". For you, there's no nostalgia for the parade. I remember seeing it when I was a teenager...to get to see it, or parts of it, again with my kids back in 2005 was a thrill! I was getting to share one of my favorite Disney memories with them.

Wait 30 years or so and go with your kids or grandkids and you'll "get" why folks love the old stuff!

I HATE Dole Whips.... I know many on this board love them, and I do make everyone I go with try them, and most everyone else loves them, I just think they are a sickeningly sweet disgusting mess.
Oh, and I've never seen Fantasmic! and really have no interest in seeing it at all.

I was afraid to say it, but I have no intention of trying a Dole Whip. It sounds awful! :duck: My motto: if it isn't chocolate it is a waste of calories! :rotfl:

:rotfl2: Reading those tiki room comments made me laugh! I am 15 now and about two years ago everyone told us to go in. Just me and my mom did. We sat in there wishing it would end. (I havent been bak in since.) Since then we have visted about 5 or six times and my little sister is 5 she wants to go in, me and my mother both refuse so we told my grandma it sher turn to suffer. I'm so glad theres others with the same feelings because i felt for awhile i was one of the only who couldnt stand those singing birds!

Looks like I'm in the minority here. I love the Tiki Room! When I went in Summer '07 (celebrating my birthday a little early, pin and all) I got to "wake up" Jose. It made my day.

Welcome to the Club! Club! Club! Club! Welcome Welcome Welcome to the Club! Club! Club!:rotfl2:
Sorry , couldn't help myself;)

We have ridden every ride and seen every show. Only a few come to mind:

I wish they would get rid of HISTA which is completely out dated and replace it with Mickey's Philharmagic like they have at WDW.

The smell in Indy gives me an instant migraine. I think it is the fuel that they use in the Snake scene. My 7 yr old LOVES this ride ...GREAT.... :scared1:

Princess Fantasy Faire???? or whatever it is called...are you kidding me! Off with her head!!! :wizard:

Churro's .... fried grease!

And last but not least.... SCREAMERS..... just shut up and let me and my kid enjoy the ride. Go "have fun" somewhere else. There is no need to scream on PP! :sad2:

i hate watching fantasmic from the front... i like watching it from the critter country side.:upsidedow

Me too! Me too! I thought I was the only one!

Nope! :thumbsup2 I'm another one who can't stand Dole Whips. And like someone else posted I don't care for churros either...I don't get the fascination of either of these two food items.

And while we are on food, I get totally grossed out (even a little sick to my stomach) every time I see someone gnawing on a turkey leg....just looks so nasty to me. Sorry. I could never buy one for me or my kids.

I don't like Roger Rabbit at all and really am stumped why it ever has a line. Actually I don't care for Toon Town much and we rarely make our way to that neck of the woods.

I've only been in Innovations once, and I agree it is a total waste of space.

I skip Star Tours whenever my dh and kids are going on it and go shopping instead ;)

I know I might get it for this shameful secret, but I don't really like TSMM *ducking* :rolleyes1 I always go on it, but, it's just ok for me.

Philharmagic--isn't it replacing Muppets 3D?

Princess Fantasy Faire--tru dat! lol

--I'll add another shameful secret...I think that Push is 10x more interesting than any other character intereraction in the parks.

--I love to mess with kids on the Redwood Creek Trail when using the two way radios. The more confused they get, the better it is for me. Hint, kids, look at the guide beside the box.

ok here are my secrets. Shhh!

I'd rather be in DLR than visiting my MIL.

I told my kids that I wouldn't take them to DL unless they would go on IASW (Bad bad mommy! :lmao: )

I think Fantasmic and character visits are a waste of precious ride riding time.

I don't get the whole pin trading fascination. :confused3

I also get grossed out by the turkey legs, and also the corn dogs.

I love the Mark Twain, Tarzan's Treehouse, IASW and the Tiki Room.

It always surprises me when I hear people say how much they dislike DCA. I love, love, love DCA! There are many reasons, such as the Grizzly Run-Redwood Creek area. The area is very well themed and absolutely gorgeous. GRR is one of the best rides ever and Redwood Challenge Trail is great for the kids. There are certainly things in the park that I would change, just like there are things I would change about DL. For me, I can't believe they ever took away the Circlevision Theater - I loved it. I also love Autopia (yes, the line totally sucks and the smart people at DL could totally fix it but for some reason don't). Churros are a special treat at Disneyland - couldn't go to DL and not get churros! I also love Star Tours, although I do wish they would offer more than one adventure.

I guess I am the weird one that likes the stuff that everyone else doesn't.

I am not a big fan of any thing 3D at DL. I do not like Star Tours.

We have never ridden on The Buzz ride! :scared1: I Know! I don't know why we just haven't
