your ride?

We used them (2 adults, 2 older teens) in '02. Except for the fact the driver was late upon our arrival & I had to contact them via cell phone, the service was good.

Used Your Ride in 11/2003. Driver was Bob in a GMC Suburan (?) type car. He was timely, helpful and great help during our 30 minute grocery store stop and arrival at the hotel. He was on time to pick us up for the return trip to the airport. I was very pleased.
I am returning to WDW 12/5/2004 and just got on the DIS page to find out if anyone had used them recently. Any feedback out there??

We used them in October of '03. We went MCO to Cape Canaveral, port to BWV, then BWV to MCO.

MCO was okay, I guess. We wandered around looking for our driver, then some of the other drivers asked who we were looking for, and said that our driver had been around. As I am calling to check on him, he came up. He was nice enough, but the car smelled like smoke.

After our cruise, we waited and waited and waited. I called and we were told that the driver should be there already. Waited a while longer and called back and were told that our driver had been sent to pick up someone else instead, but someone would be there soon. Wait some more and call again and we're told that the person we initially spoke to was on his way. Almost an hour later he shows up. My impression was that we were forgotten, then given a story or two while he scrambled to get someone to get us, then he himself came. If he had been honest and admitted his mistake (and hopefully made some adjustment to our charge) I would have given him a second chance. He never even apologized when he arrived.

Since we had paid in full already, we kept the third leg. That was a different situation altogether. Different driver arrived exactly on time, spotless car, chilled drinks for us and excellent service all around.

Unfortunately I would be afraid to risk being abandoned at the port again so I will not use them. As I mentioned, if someone makes a mistake, but then admits it, apologizes and indicates that they will try harder that is one thing. Making a mistake, then compounding it with a lie and stringing people along, with no apology or indication that there was a problem is another.

The guy that runs Your Ride (at least he did awhile ago) used to post here all the time, I think his name was Rabbit. They used to be really good, but then a few people started posting their bad experiences and he would get extremely rude and defensive with them here on the boards. After reading one horrible thread in paticular sometime last year, I cancelled the ressie I had with them and booked with Tiffany (who I have also heard some bad reviews of lately, though we have always had excellent luck with them).Next trip I am splurging the extra $50 and we are renting a car. I don't have the patience to deal with these companies anymore, not that the rental companies are that much better, but at least I am not expected to tip them!!

We used them in March 03 and had no problems although the outstanding experiences we have had since with FL Tours put them to shame.

My biggest problem is that this company misused the DIS boards, not just in responding nastily to consumer complaints but also with "plants" and other spam-like techniques to boost business.

My personal opinion is that the DIS and the DIS Boards are such a tremendous FREE resource that it is a matter of my appreciation and loyalty to the DIS that I do not do business with companies like this, and, moreover, try to support the sponsors of the boards whenever possible.
