I'm taking my 2 dds for a quick trip in Sept. 3 full days of disney. I have 5 old hopper passes but I don't remember if they have days left on them. I believe they must because otherwise why would I have put them in the safe! I seem to remember we didn't go our last day but it was back in 1999 and my memory is failing! I can get the 3 day hoppers from Alamo because that is who we're renting our car from. I'm thinking of ordering just 2 3-day hopper passes and seeing if the left overs work for one of us. But if the old passes aren't worth anything, then I'm stuck buying a 3 day/1 park pass for one of us and we won't be able to park hop! Or I could just buy the 3 3-day hopper passes ..shell out the money I don't really have and then have the old passes checked and use what I can and then save the rest for "next time" (which probably won't be anytime soon!!!! HELP! What would you do?

Why not call WDW ticketing and ask how you can check to see for left over days on old passes? I'm sure someone has had this problem before..................

My understanding is there is no way to check until you are at Disney. I would buy new ones, bring the old ones and check them when you are there. If you have days left on the old ones, use those first. Then since they never expire, you'll be able to use the new ones in the future.

And I put old tickets in an envelope and write how many days are left on the envelope. No confusion next time.

I think I'd buy the two 3 day hoppers and try to use the days on the extra hoppers you already have. If you have 5 PH's there's a good chance you could have several days left, and you can park hop with those even if there should only be one day left on each (if it was a PH to begin with it's different than a 1 day/1 park ticket and you can still go from park to park.) If you find that you have no days left on your previous passes you could just get a four day PH rather than a 3 day non-hopper pass. Also, if only one or two of your old tickets has a day left you could ask Guest Services if they will apply the amount as a credit to a new PH - they did that for me recently when I bought an AP.

You can't check your days until you are at a park or one of the hotels. We write down on the pass whenever we use a day, and then always know. We have old passes, new passes, comp passes even an AP that hasn't started yet. You can never have to many passes! They always go up in price and never expire so we are always buying some kind of pass. Hey is that a e-ticket I have?

Thank you all for advise. I like the idea of just buy the 2 3/day hoppers and seeing if my old passes are valid and then getting a 4 day hopper if they're not. I really believe there is one day on each of those passes left so maybe I won't have to shell out the for th 4 day pass. I realize I can always use the old pases later if I were to buy 3 new passes but money is an object right now. I am going to definately make note of what's left on any passes this time!!! I can't believe how much my memory is failing as I get older!!! I wonder if AAA gives a discount on their 4 day hopper passes when you purchase them at Disney.

I've never ordered the Alamo tickets, so I can't confirm this, but my understanding is that the Alamo tickets are actually purchased through Walt Disney World ticketing. (Meaning - your calls are answered by Walt Disney World ticketing cast members, NOT Alamo)

I believe you should then have the option of purchasing the tickets through will call.

So what's the point? The point is that if you discover that you don't have enough days on your passes, you should be able to call the number that Alamo gives you, order another ticket and pick it up at will-call.

If they say no, then you can try for the 4 day hopper pass.

Just a great tip I read for anyone reading this thread: at the end of your trip, mark right on the pass how many days are left. That way, you won't run into the problems the original poster had! :)

Couldnt have said it any better myself. Thats usually what happens with my family.

I checked with Alamo. The latest you can order through them is 48 hours before delivery to park. Won't work in my case but I'll just settle for buy the 4 day hopper if my old passes won't work. Not a big deal. Again... Thank you all for your opinions. It helped me figure out my plan of action.

I wouldn't recommend using will call if you order through Alamo. I know it is a Disney ticketing office, but we spent 45 minutes at the will call at opening on our first day last summer trying to pick up our tickets they said were already picked up. You can order through the Alamo number about 3-4 weeks in advance and have your 3 day hoppers sent to your home.
