Your most disapointing TS restaraunt at WDW was?

Our disppointment in LeCellier was magnified by the hype it gets here. The Cheddar Cheese Soup is good, but not special. In fact, I have the recipe now and make it myself two or three times in winter. DW says my version is better. We didn't see what all the fuss was over the pretzel bread. The steaks were OK, but we've had better at CG or YS.

LeCellier was our biggest disappointment too. Part of it was the hype, but I didn't like the food at all.

I think food is very subjective though. We all have different likes and dislikes, but I was really bummed about LeCellier. I was in the mood for a really good steak dinner, and it was anything but good.

I have to say I thought the staff did a great job. We had a wonderful waiter, so there service was good.

Our absolute WORST dining experience in the World last week was Cinderella's Royal Table.

Our waitress couldn't have been ruder - and she spilled juice and coffee every time she came to the table (practically throwing the stuff at us).

The food wasn't good (and my expectations were pretty low). I get that you're paying for the "experience" - but a polite/helpful/friendly waitress goes a long way.

Our favorite/Best was Le Cellier ;) Funny how it gets mixed reviews. The food was excellent - and the service was top notch! (We had an early ADR - 4:00 - during slow season - maybe that helped? It was empty when we were seated).

:wizard:

I was let down with both Coral reef and Whispering Canyon. Both were so recommended, I was probably expecting more. Coral Reef, the waiter was snooty and acted like he'd rather not be there. We were seated very far away from the aquarium. Plus, it was my birthday.

Whipering Canyon, service was so-so, there were no antics. The skillet meal that DH had upset his stomache.

Most of my dining experiences have exceeded my expectations! And I've been going to Disney practically every year since the mid-seventies!

Yachtsman Steakhouse was our most disappointing ever.

Usually we will give a place a second chance, this one was so bad all the way around, food/service we won't even give it a second chance.

Chef Mickey's at dinner was horrible!! I was so disappointed by that.

However, our favorites were Teppan Edo and Concourse Steakhouse. I hate that they are closing the Concourse...:sad2:

Sci Fi for us. The first time we went, we thought it would really be an experience. The food was horrible, the service was not so great and the atmosphere was not that fun. We were expecting better quality in food, service and atmosphere.

sci fi definitely for us as well.food was lousy, service worse, the movie clips were fun,but with all the bad movies out there, couldnt it be a little longer,so you werent watching it a 2nd time while dining? And to top it off,a long strand of hair in my tortillas with dip starter that i luckily saw before i put it in my mouth(which is not easy considering the darkness of the place).worst food and service my entire trip.

Not too many places have really disappointed me, but I guess Yacht Club Galley (Captain's Grill now?) did for dinner. DS and DDIL had raved about their dinner there. But the lighting was just so dingy-not "atmospherically dim", but like a couple lights were burnt out. In addition, my food was only fair. One positive thing, however, was that the manager came around to every table and introduced herself, which I thought was a nice touch.

Crystal Palace (dinner)- The food was okay... and the character interaction was okay, but neither was stellar. If I ate there in a vacuum it would have been great...but compared to Chef Mickey's(dinner), 1900 Park Fare(dinner), Tusker House(lunch) and Hollywood & Vine(lunch)...our other buffet meals... it was lacking.

Whispering Canyon is a close second. It again was okay, but not worth the $$. We may have liked it better if my ILs were more into the atmosphere.

Spoodles for breakfast was terrible, H&V dinner and CM dinner was terrible. Those are the only bad experiences that we have had.

Our worst TS ever was Marrakesh. (Just got back too...) Closely followed by Captain Jack's and Sci-Fi. Food was NOT great at any of them and the service at Marrakesh was terrible.

My least favorite is Mama Melrose. I have been there twice, both times it wasn't all that good. The food was ok at best. The atmosphere was bland. The waitresses were slow (both times we ate there it was off season the IMHO the resturant wasn't busy).

I can put up with bland food if the atmosphere and the service is good. I can defend Sci Fi for that reason. I guess I can't defend Mama Melrose.

LTT: it was bad. The service was the root cause of it all. Slow service, resulting in cold food and no refills. The food was nothing to write home about and worse when it is cold. We left and asked for the check before dessert was offered.

I don't recall many good things said about LTT on this fourm. Maybe its me, but a Thanksgiving/Pilgram Type Dinner isn't too appealing other then at Thanksgiving. Maybe if they offered some other foods it would be more appealing.:confused3

San Angel. We think it's dark so you don't have to actually look at the mess they're serving you.
The food was horrendous and the service was terrible. We will never eat there again.
However, I love the Mexico pavilion and we enjoy the counter service on the water. Go figure. :rotfl:

Our worst was Ohana's. Just didn't care for the food and we had a pretty lousy waiter and a table in a bad location. We're going to give it a second chance in April as this time I'm going with my DH and I think he'll like anywhere that has giant slabs of meat on a stick!! :rotfl:

1. LeCellier - we just didn't get the hype :confused3
2. WCC - the food looked better (in the food porn pics!) than it tasted -- the food was definitely edible, but it just wasn't great, kwim?
3. CP

We have had 2 bad ,eals at WDW. They include Mama Melrose's and Tony's Town Square. It is interesting as all 3 of us love Italian food. But the food was bad, the service was even worse.

Recently, I have to say that my worst experience was Restaurant Marrakesh. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't as good as the other places we tried. If you like Morroccan food generally, this place doesn't really give you what you want. I've had Morroccan in NY/DC that just blows Marrakesh away. It's okay if you've never had Morroccan before because you won't know the difference. The place is fun though, and our server was pretty good.

We went to the Rainforest Cafe at AK as well (I don't really think of this as a "Disney" restaurant, which is why I was forced to select Marrakesh) and it was just awful. I will never go there again. The food is no better than your local Ruby Tuesday's, the restaurant is always packed, it's expensive for what you get, and the service (for us anyway) was terrible. My wife and I also had a bad experience at Raglan Road over in DTD (the food was great, the service was abominable).
