I made that exact pizza last night for dinner too, right down to using spaghetti sauce for the sauce. I am actually using the left over sausage and sauce for goulash tonight, and I am making homemade garlic twists (I just use my pizza dough recipe and dr it up a little)

Mine is very simple.

1st I proof my yeast - 1pkg of yeast, 1 tbsp sugar, 1 cup warm water. I buy my yeast in bulk and I use 1 1/2tsp. I let it sit for about 10 minutes.

I use 3 cups of flour, a pinch of salt (I think the original recipe was 1tsp) and 2tbsp of olive oil (I just dump it in and don't even measure it)

I add the yeast mixture to the dough and stir until I can't stir no more then start kneading it until it's a smooth ball. I let it rise with a damp towel over the bowl until it's doubled in size then knead it again and let it rise again for about 30 min or so, this time spread out on the pizza stone.

I do bake my crust for about 10 minutes before putting my toppings on too. I usually set my oven at 375-400. After the toppings are on it takes about 15 minutes to cook, I just keep an eye on it.

Here's mine:

3 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp dry yeast
1 tsp salt
3 tbsp olive oil
1 1/2 cups hot water (I use hot tap water)

cornmeal - do not mix in dough

Mix dry ingredients well then add the liquids and blend well with a fork. Knead about 3 to 4 minutes. Cover with plastic wrap in a ceramic bowl for at least 90 minutes.

Sprinkle a cookie sheet with some cornmeal so the dough will not stick to it when you stretch it out on the cookie sheet. Put your sauce and toppings and bake for about 12 to 14 minutes til cheese is melted and crust is golden at 400.

Thanks ladies.. I have never made homemade dough and want to give it a shot.

your welcome. I must say though that my pizza is not as good as my favorite pizza place but it's good enough for us. I think they get a specialty kind of yeast, I've heard it's brewer's yeast??
