Your "Magic Moment"

In 2007 my wife, then girlfriend, went to WDW. It was my second time, I use second loosely because the first time was a huge family trip and we didn't get to do much, and my wife's first. Our first park was Hollywood Studios, MGM Studios at that time. We were there for rope drop and were actually first in line at the turnstiles. A very nice older CM, Dwight if I remember correctly, was chatting with us a lot. To make a long story short he picked us to be the family of the day. We were in the park opening skit and got to go on Tower Of Terror alone, just the two of us. We were given a few trinkets, certificate, and free ride photo. That was amazing.

We went back in 2011 during Star Wars Weekends. Again we did Hollywood Studios as our first park and were there for rope drop. This time we were about 4 deep at the turnstiles. When they opened the park, everyone went running to the Star Wars area since they had just redone Star Tours. We went over to Tower Of Terror and was able to ride it just the two of us again. This time we bought the ride photo because we knew no one would believe that we were able to do it twice with nobody else on the ride.

Right after that we rode Rockin Roller Coaster about 6 times in a row with no waiting. That was closed the first time we were there and my wife was crushed, so we had to make up for it the second time around.

This past October we took our Star Wars loving DD5 to HS. She looooves villains (especially Darth Vader) so my mom made her a Darth Vader outfit (very girly-poofy and tutu). She wore it to fight Darth Vader. Also, she gave a CM a note she wrote for DV. She fought him and it was amazing, but the awesome part happened later in the day...
After lunch we wandered back over to JTA to watch and a CM waved us down and said "Lord Vader has been looking for you all day! He wants to meet you!" She clammed up (she never hushes) and smiled HUGE! We waited until that JTA set had finished and then they escorted her to the side. PhotoPass was ready to capture the moment and all of a sudden he appeared from around a corner. She RAN to him and gave him a huge hug. As she turned around to pose for pictures, he whipped out a signed light saber and handed it to her. It was AMAZING!!!!
It was such an awesome, unexpected moment of Disney magic. We made sure we wrote an email and stopped by Guest Services to tell them how special his made our trip. I requested that my email be followed up with a phone call once we got home. Two days later I was in the phone with a man from Disney who was so sweet. He went on and on about how much Disney appreciates these stories. He assured me the cast members (a bunch of them worked together to make this a magic moment) would all be told how much this meant to us.

My DH reminded me of his favorite moment. A number of years ago we were with our two boys, 4 and 6, and my (adult) cousin at Disneyland. We were just sitting down to a QS lunch at an empty group of tables (it must have been midafternoon when no one else was eating), when I spied Wendy and Captain Hook walking up the way. I mentioned to DH that I'd read somewhere that Captain Hook was a rare character sighting.

DH calls out to Wendy, "Hey, do you need to be rescued?" She reacted with surprise and said she was just fine, thank you. DH continued on, "This guy isn't giving you trouble, is he, because [cousin] and I can definitely take him on for you."

Hook rose to the bait magnificently, putting up his fists and dancing around in invitation, then ducking around our table and hiding behind the kids, peeking out again, making threatening movements, ducking back and eventually stealing part of one of our lunches and taunting my husband by holding it out of his reach. This interplay continued for at almost ten minutes, with the whole family eventually getting involved in a game of keepaway that culminated in a mock sword battle in which one of the boys slew Hook. The entire time, not a single other guest come into that seating area or noticed Hook and Wendy.
