Your "Magic Moment"

For me, it's when I met Buzz Lightyear. I was wearing my Game of Thrones t-shirt that day, it said "The Night's Watch." I think whoever was friends with Buzz must have watched the show, because he pointed at my shirt and nodded his head excitedly. Then, the PP Photographer started asking me about it. "What kind of watch does a Knight wear? A battle watch? A Timekeeping watch?" Questions like that. The character handler got in on it, too.

I met a lot of characters on my past trip, but that meeting takes the cake.

My second moment was also on my previous trip. It was late, real late. The last Electrical Parade was about to start (but I wasn't aware of that.) I was doing some last minute shopping in the Emporium and quite literally walked out into the perfect parade spot. The only people there was a CM and a nice family next to me, so I sat down. I got to see the parade right where all the floats came out. One of the performers dressed like mice (I have no idea what they're called) came up to me and stuck out his tongue. I know they're supposed to do things like that, but it made me feel little again, and it made me feel really special that that CM understood that big kids like to have fun at Disney, too!

2 moments stand out to me, Number one being at Akershus. DD was dress as Ariel and all of the kept asking her how she swam to meet them and telling her that they had a "friend" that looked just like. Finally when Ariel came to our table, she knelt down to get to DD's level and hugged her so tight. When it came time for the princess parade, Ariel walked over to DD and gave her her flowers to carry and held DD's hand during the entire parade. DD lead the parade while holding Ariel's hand. It was a dream come true and left me, my sister and SIL in tears.

My second magical moment was watching my special needs nephew become the beast at ETWB (he is 5 but very small, like the size of a 2 year old). We had FP+ and as we waited (maybe 2 to 3 minutes) he was practicing roaring. His mom (SIL) kept telling him that there were lots of kids so not everyone could be the beast. When we walked inside and they were casting parts he gave the loudest roar he could and although not very loud he was chosen to be the beast. Watching him dance with Belle brought tears to our entire family's eyes.

One special memory that comes to mind was in MK. We had met her majesty, Cinderella, and she was quite enchanted with a button DD had on her sweater, that mentioned a character meal we had had a few days before that day. Fast Forward to that afternoon. We were watching the afternoon parade, and when Cinderella saw us, she asked, from her float, where DD's button was. I shouted back that it was on DD's sweater, that she had taken off in the afternoon sunshine. I was so very surprised that she would remember us, let alone a button on a sweater.

We were at MVMCP and wanted a photo with Snow White. It was a comedy of errors trying to catch up with her. We went through the line a couple times and couldn't find her. Someone actually called the character hotline and was told she wasn't going to be out that night at all. Everyone was trying so hard to help us find her. Finally someone asked if we could come back at a certain time. I presumed they thought we might find her then. The told us to wait, then led us in the back door. I was totally caught off guard when they had this set up for us:

Brought my goddaughter, 7 years old for her first trip in November. I've been waiting since she was in the womb to bring her to my favorite place on earth. We stayed in a royal room at Riverside. Everything was perfect. Our first full day we went to MK.. the park opened early for EMH. It was her first time to step foot in this magical park. We walked under the train station to head to the castle and a CM came right up to us and asked if our princess would like a private ride to the castle.. he was driving one of those really cool old time vehicles. I was so excited (prob more than anyone). We got in and he drove us all the way to the castle. We had great pictures taken and it was really something special. She will never forget it.

I was like a little kid because it is those little things that CM's do to make our day that much more memorable and special. We thanked him over and over. Got pictures with him in front of the castle also. This is why I love this place to much!

My husband and I went to the not so scary Halloween party on our honeymoon. We were dressed as Cinderella and Prince Charming. The park was closing, and we were waiting in line for one last photopass photographer photo with us all dressed up. From behind me I hear someone yelling "CINDERELLA. Always trying to come in at the end of the night and ruin my time!!" So, I start looking around for Cinderella. Nope! It was ME they were referring to! Behind me were both stepsisters and the stepmother. They made a huge scene, and the handler told me they saw my costume and had to come over and see. (I was wearing a huge petticoat, corset, hair.. makeup... the whole 9 yards.. not easy in hot weather!). So they bantered back and forth for a couple minutes and then my husband and I got to take a picture with them! It was amazing. That along with all the CMs telling me how awesome we looked, a photopass photographer taking a surprise shot of us looking over the water, and being allowed to use tiana and naveens meeting spot for a private mini photo session made one of the most memorable days I have ever spent at Disney. Also all the oohs and ahs of little girls. Every girl should get one day of being a princess, it doesn't matter how old you are!

Last year DD4 got to be princess of the day at CRT and that same day, The Beast danced with her in his castle. She said that day was "magical"

Thank you! No I did not. I actually purchased them on amazon! Everyone thought they were custom. The corset was a bridal corset (not included, I just had one), and that really pulled the look together. I saw another lady in the same dress, but with no large underskirt or corset and it just did not look like the same dress at all. It was very uncomfortable in 80 degree weather, but the pictures were oh so worth it! go all out if you ever go!

The tiara was my wedding tiara, though. That was not included either. I know Cinderella wears a headband, but I am a tiara kind of girl (;

I think I spent $200 total on the costumes. Mine was a little bit more than his. I want to say they were like $120 and $80?

On our first trip, our son was not quite 3 1/2, and he was obsessed with Peter Pan. We were in The Toy Soldier in the UK pavilion, where we found Peter Pan hats and he picked up a foam sword. One of the CMs came over and said to him, "Hello, brave sir, I'd like to challenge you to a duel!" She picked up another sword and handed him a shield, saying he had to be able to defend himself properly. They fought for about a minute, and she got really into it, and then another CM came along and joined the fight. He took another 30 seconds to "defeat" them and back them into a corner, and both women started begging him for mercy. He was tickled pink! We went to pay for our hat and sword, and the first CM said he deserved a "winner's sash" for being such a good swordsman. She pulled out the longest string of Mickey stickers and made it into a sash for him to wear. We walked out of the store and he was over the moon. He still talks about it sometimes more than a year later! I wrote to Guest Services with the girls' info and praised them profusely. It's that kind of stuff that really makes magic at Disney.

The first time I went to WDW was with my mom and stepdad for my mom's birthday in 2011. We waited around an hour and a half to see Tinker Bell (mom's favorite) at EPCOT, and when it was our turn, Tink saw my mom's "It's My Birthday!" button and asked her how old she is. My mom got all cute and said "Five" and held up her hand. Tink giggled and said, "So you're a handful!". It was the cutest thing ever, and one of my favorite memories of my mom.

Okay, let me start by saying that I'm a total nerd and history buff. My "magic moment" comes every time I see Illuminations. I get emotional every time I hear, "We've gathered here tonight around the fire, as people of all lands have gathered for thousands and thousands of years before us, to share the light and to share a story...". When you think about it, it's absolutely true. It's a MUCH bigger fire, and a much bigger group gathered around the fire, and I may not know any of them except for my DW, but the concept is exactly the same. It gives me a real sense of the "brotherhood of man", and how we are all human, regardless of background.

As I sit here trying (and failing) not to cry, I'm thinking of the many magic moments I've had over my visits to Disney.

One that sticks out is from my trip in December of last year. Me, my nieces, and one of their friends were in line to see Goofy and Donald at Pete's Silly Sideshow. Niece's friend LOVES Goofy and when it was finally her turn to meet him, she got SO excited. She was actually in tears because she was meeting GOOFY! Which, in turn, brought me to tears. lol Goofy was rolling right along with it because he got down on one knee and "proposed" to her! It was one of the highlights of our day. (Aside from me keeping our BoG reservation a secret ALL DAY. Hardest thing I've ever had to do lol)

Mine was in 2011 my DD was 5 and was so into Rapunzel. We went to rope drop got in line at Fairytale garden and waited for 2 hours. She was actually great in line. We get in and all the kids went to the table. All the parents went to the line. While the kids colored. So I was last in line because I got her settled. Well our last in line ended up being the best spot. We were the only ones left and DD had alot of time with Rapunzel and Flynn. She was so star struck spending time with the both of them. She hugged Rapunzel so many times. It was just a teary eyed moment for me and a special moment for her!!

We just went in March. My daughter turned 5 on our trip. We had went 2 years before the week she turned 3. Rapunzel was her very favorite. We stood in line for 2 hours to meet Rapunzel 2 years ago. This time we got a fastpass.

When we went to meet Rapunzel, Rapunzel told my daughter that she remembered her. Rapunzel said "You were wearing a different shirt and your hair has grown a bit." It was so precious. My daughter was on cloud 9 thinking Rapunzel remembered her from 2 years ago!

Those little moments that cast members give to children are just priceless. <3

The Best Magical experience for us was our very first trip. DS was not quite 2 years old. Four months earlier he had multiple seizures that damaged the speech part of his brain. He couldn't talk and had gotten to the point he didn't even make any sounds at all. He was pretty unemotional.

We got on It's A Small World. When we got to the first room and he saw all of the "children," he came alive. He was pointing everywhere and he started making sounds - he was soooo excited. Needless to say we rode that ride over and over (and still do every trip)! To this day the memory still brings tears to my eyes! (He is 10 now and doing great thanks to lots of therapy and God).

On our last trip my DS who was 9 played the sheriff in the Hoop-D-Doo Review and my DS who was 5 said the introduction/welcome to the Little Mermaid show.

There is "magic" every trip so we have lots of fond memories.

I should not read a thread like this while I am at work!

I have only ever been to WDW once, and it gave me so many moments I can't even count them.

First: DS who was 4 was a HUGE Donald Duck fan! We had yet to meet the main duck, but we were having dinner at Chef Mickey's. DS was waiting patiently at the table with his stuffed Donald Duck behind his back. When Donald got to the table, DS pulled out his stuffie proudly to show him. Donald made a HUGE deal over it. Held it up in the air, rocked it like a baby, etc. DS was BEAMING!

The moment at Epcot when we just sat there and let the kids play in the squirting water between WS and FW on our first night. It was so relaxing and surreal in a way to realize we were finally here!

Third: For some reason I was obsessed with finding the Roy Disney and Minnie bench, but had no idea where it was. Can you believe that we ask 3 CM's who didn't know? Of course it is right as you walk onto Main Street. When we finally found it I started tearing up. I guess I just feel like without the dedication of Roy Disney WDW would never exist they way Walt wanted it to. Disney it's self means so much to me, so it was a very emotional moment.

Last night I was returning to the contemporary after a long day at Epcot and as I was on the monerail, I was able to see the wishes fireworks. It was a well needed moment of magic after a not so magical dining experience for dinner. It was nice to see the fireworks without the noise!
