I was just re-organizing some pics from our last trip to WDW, and saw one that gave me heart flutters! :)

At the MK one afternoon, it was hot, we were tired, but not wanting to leave, and we happened upon a little spot near the castle. Some of you will likely know where I mean...near the wishing well, "off the beaten path", overlooking the water around the castle. We sat down on the benches for a good 1/2 hour, just relaxing, taking in the sights. The MK was busy that day, but in this little spot, it was beautiful, shady, quiet, and calming. DD watched the birds on the water, and DH and I just sat and were amazed to find such a little jewel of a spot in the middle of the MK! The whole time we were there, hardly anyone came down the path at all. It was a great place to re-charge.

Aaaah....if I close my eyes, I can see it now! :goodvibes

Anyone else with a "favourite spot"?

If it's my favorite spot to sit and chill out, it's the TTA. It's one of the few parts of our trips where we slow down and are able to take in the great sights all around.

hands down our favorite spot is the flower cart areas between the shops on Main Street.

oh i love all 3 spots already mentioned!!!
but my favorite  place. the place i picture myself when i think of WDW,
is sitting on the upper balcony of the MK Walt Disney railroad, gazing over Main St. up to the Castle.
my sister and I love to get a cup of coffee and a pastry from the Bakery and enjoy them while sitting at our favorite place. :goodvibes :goodvibes

Agrees with this post!!!

Also like to just sit back and watch the ducks near the noodle station. The place that serves as Tinkerbells landing during Wishes.

Another place that I have relaxed is the roundabout way from Toontown Fair to Tomorrowland. Usually very quiet unless a train is going by..

I too favor the wedway/TTA as a place to relax and savour the surroundings--but I also like the rocking chairs over at Tom Sawyer's Island...Polly's place, I believe. It's a nice perspective from there.

My fave quiet spot in MK is the little porch area accross from PoC. We love getting frozen lemonades and sitting and watching the people walk by and go into PoC

Correct me if I'm wrong, but did they not do away with flower alley, join the Emporium to that clothing store and ramp it up? It seems to me that's where we often see the Dapper Dans and where the funny parade with the guy with the drum stick through his head (hat) perform.

My favourite spot is over by the Crystal Palace, before you get to the bridge facing the castle. The landscaping is perfect.

In a rocking chair on the porch outside a shop (darn, I'm going to find out the name of that shop!) in Frontierland. I think it's by the Turkey leg stand and there's a big white Egret around. My second choice is in the rocking chairs on TSI near Aunt Polly's.

We love TTA for relaxing too. Our favorite relaxing/happy/magical moment, etc. spot is the World Showcase at night after Illuminations. We always wait for crowds to pour out and then usually find a bench and just sit for awhile. We watch all the crowds leave and just enjoy the quietness and the music and ambience until the crowds have thinned considerably. Then we slowly walk back to the front. It's one of our most magical Disney moments that we enjoy on every trip. Not exactly one spot, but sort of. We like to do the same at MK on Main Street too, but it's not always possible like at Epcot.

Thanks for some great and wonderful quiet spots to relax when we go in Sept. The first time around we hardly ever stopped and took a rest!

It's amazing how alike we all think...I guess we really are "the disboard community"! I would definately say the rocking chairs on Tom Sawyers Island, the TTA for sure, and the rocking chairs in Liberty Square. But to be honest, we don't do much sitting....TOO MUCH TO DO AND SEE!!!

we love to sit on the patio of the fountain view cafe at epcot. it is in a place where it could never be secluded, but we love to watch the fountain and hear the music while eating a pastry.

It would have to be in WS at Norway during Illuminations. I tend to step back from the crowds when I watch it (granted, I don't get the best view but I still see a considerable amount of the fireworks). So, I end up to the right of the little cafe sitting area and in front of the Viking ship. There's a speaker right there so I can hear the music fine. I can just taste the berry cup with custard and feel the humidity... ahh, why can't it be June yet?! :teeth:

Wow, sounds like you might like what is one of DH's favorite spots. He loves to get something to eat at Tangerine Cafe and sit in the outdoor area (on the side by the restrooms) while we watch Illuminations. I agree, maybe not the greatest view, but something about it is really restful and enjoyable.

I would have to say that one of my favorite things is the TTA as well for relaxation. But if you want scenery and relaxation, I would have to go with Tom Sawyer's Island. There isn't much there but it is very pretty.

There is a path from toontown to tomorrowland that leads to Space Mountain parallel to the railroad track. It's an area that is often fairly empty even when the park is crowded. I enjoy walking through there.

My favorite spotkinda moves...it is when we are leaving the parks...hot sweaty, tired beyound belief, and being the first to get on a semi cool air conditioned bus, sitting down in the back (to make room for everyone getting on behind us)...my lil' boy climbing on my lap...falling asleep with a smile on his face.
