Your Favorite Thing To Do At Disney?

Eating.

I love eating around the world, I love eating ice cream every day and I love dining at awesome restaurants. Sure, you can do that anywhere, but it's just better at Disney. I eat healthy almost year-round. I diet leading up to the trip to account of the weight I'll gain at Disney, so I see it as a week of totally cutting loose.

We travel during the holidays, so it has that total "comfort" feel to it.

Great thread!
Here's my shortlist:
  • Crossing the bridge into Adventureland at the Magic Kingdom
  • Hearing the Innoventions music loop as I walk through Epcot in the morning
  • Classic dark rides!
  • School bread from Kringla Bakeri og Kafe
  • Forcing my family/friends to watch Must Do Disney at least once

Anything in the Magic Kingdom at night. We love BTMRR or Splash at night. The people mover at night is great also. The projection show is great. The fireworks are great. We have never been rope drop people but we can close down the Magic Kingdom any day!

Wishes just sums up all the Disney feels for me. Its so magical. Close second is the first trip on ToT (myfavorite) when you feel the heat as you move into the elevator shaft and waiting for the drop to happen.

Loving this thread!

My favorites
- As soon as we see the monorail we know we are home - we always ride it before doing anything else!
-The theming overall - characters and special touches everywhere make every ride/show/experience truly magical!
-Our favorite is when we run into a surprise character that's roaming or not scheduled on the app. It just is so wonderful to bump into a random one - especially if they are rare!

There is 3 or 4 of them in the shop after you ride space mountain, they are currently against the wall that also has other phone charging seating. (walk in and look a the wall near where people exit after the ride). I've also seen them in some of the arcades at the resorts (if not all, I definitely saw them in feb in POFQ). They are similar to the ones you'll find in any mall and do require cash so have be ready with some singles, 5s or bills you can ask the cashier to break.
How did I not know about this?!?!

In no particular order:
  • Having a Pina Colava while sitting by my resort's pool
  • Strolling World Showcase with a cold beer in one hand, my DH's hand in the other
  • Sampling the dishes and drinks at Food & Wine and Flower & Garden
Hmm, I sense a theme here...

We have never stayed onsite...well SoG, but still, not any of the "view" resorts. My favorite moment is when we leave central transportation on the ferry and turn the bend and the castle comes into view for the first. It's the *ONLY* way to arrive :)

Love to do so many things, but the big one for me is making sure we get to see Tinkerbell fly. It's the one thing that gets me every single time I see it. When the Castle is all dark and all of a sudden you see that little green spot up there. It's usually my favorite moment of every trip. And my kids make fun of the big ole sap who gets all teary eyed every time:)

I absolutely love driving under the arches while on the Magical Express! Strolling leisurely down Main Street before the park opens, and now... getting super excited to take my three (soon to be four) year old niece for her first trip! :)

Lots and lots of things could go on here but I would have to say:

1. Walking down Main Street at night and seeing all the lights and the castle lit up (especially at Christmas time!)
2. Strolling around the World Showcase at night with a drink
3. Riding Dumbo with our two DDs and seeing their smiles/hearing their laughs

I may be crazy BUT, I love the buses! Especially after a LONG day and every one is tired yet happy(mostly--me anyway). Sleeping kids on parents laps. Shopping bags crammed on laps. Someone else is doing the driving :) Totally wiped out but still excited because tomorrow is another day to ride your favorite ride :)

...... Mine would have to be walking around in general and taking in the sights and be enveloped in the Disney atmosphere. ......
As I clicked the thread title, I had in mind to post this.... and then I saw it posted in the OP! So quote and reply. There you go.

We stayed at Pop Century for the first time last year, and loved the impromptu sing-alongs to 80s songs. A busload of exhausted, bleary-eyed people with kids in their laps singing Bohemian Rhapsody - where else are you gonna find that???

Hard question! I can't narrow it down to one.

My favorite things to do at Disney - Strolling around Downtown with a hot pretzel and jalapeño cheese sauce. Seeing my son get genuinely excited about something other than video games! Getting goofy with characters. Downing a pint at Biergarten (or at least attempting to). I think Splash Mountain is the ride that really screams Disney to me.

Wishes is magical, but I avoid it because it makes me flat-out, wholeheartedly, ugly cry.
