For the past few times we've been to Epcot we've always had dinner at Le Cellier. Even though we love it there, we're thinking it may be time for a change. Thing is...I don't think DH is very adventurous when it comes to eating ethnic types of food. I also have two boys who will be 12 an 13 when we go next and they eat the "typical kid foods" DH was thinking of the TS restuarant in France (sorry can't remember the name of it right now) but I'm not sure.

I was also thinking of maybe having an early Epcot day and then go to a resort to check things out there and have dinner there. What are your thoughts?

We've eaten at the restaurant in France many times -- I think it's the one called Les Chefs de France. It's quite good! I also personally love the resturant in Japan, the name escapes me but it's the same style as a Benihana's. OK maybe it's not that unusual, but it is soooo delicious... plus the chefs are a riot, and they make these steaming Mickey volcano things out of the onions! :)

Are you talking about the chefs de france, maybe?? We ate there last year and it was wonderful!!! Even my son- then just shy of 3- loved it!! The food was amazing and service was great...the prices were a little high, though, if i recall correctly...

I second the Chefs de France Restaurant. I also think the Japan restaurants, Rose & Crown and the Marrakesh restaurant are all very good.

We used to love Akershus but now that it is a character meal we stay away.

Well, LeCellier is our favorite. But after that we would pick Biergarten. We hope to try the Italian this year (never done French or Mexican--I don't like that kind of food).

Actually, the upstairs restaurant in France, Bistro de Paris, is one of the best restaurants at WDW. It's our tradition to have our final dinner there on every trip.

We're trying Coral Reef as our EP dinner TS. I thought it would be a good change of pace and the kids would still enjoy it.

i've done the free dining plan now for 3 trips now so we want the best bang for our buck so at epcot it is le cellier. now, this past dec. we did teppan edo and you've seen one, you've seen them all. i'm glad we didn't have to pay for that meal because there wasn't too much to it. i wasn't too impressed and i'm not picky!!

Beirgarten is good because it has a wide variety of food. I think everyone would be happy with something there.

Also I loved Teppan Edo. The food was fantastic and watching the chef prepare it was a ton of fun!.

For kids, Teppan Edo or Biergarten. When I don't have kids with me, definitely the new and improved 9 Dragons. Love it!!

My DDs were 12 and 13 and my sister was 17 on our last visit, they all said Teppan Edo (was Teppanyaki) is the one place we have to go back to when we visit in March.

We loved the Beirgarten, DH, DD, and her friends loved the food (I am a boring eater, pickey and don't try alot of things). DD and her friends also loved the band, they went down and started dancing and then other kids followed and they had the best time. Dinner and a show, can't beat it!:thumbsup2

We haven't ventured out much in Epcot because of our littlest princess desire to always have a princess meal. We have eaten at Chef's de France. We loved it the first time but were a little disappointed the second time. The item my husband loved was gone. I would still go back.

We actually really enjoy Aukershus. I love herring and lox. The soups and sandwiches are very good and the deserts are good. The last time we went we had the whole place to ourselves (we had the last lunch seating). I took pictures. It was awesome!

We really want to try Tutto Italia. I'm sure that will be on our list for our upcoming trip. I'm going to book the castle for the princess meal so we can do Tutto instead of Aukershus. It looks gorgeous and seems to be getting great reviews.:wizard:

We love Teppan Edo! That's a must do for us now. This trip I'm thinking of trying Beirgarten too.

We've eaten at all more than once (except Tokyo Dining - don't know how we missed that) but our fav is Biergarden - followed closely by le Cellier

you have lots of great options at Epcot, as noted above. If you decide to try your idea for Epcot early and then somewhere else for dinner, we thought Spoodles on Boardwalk was good. You can walk out the back gate of Epcot, and could even go back into Ep after dinner for Illuminations if you wanted to

We ate at that rotating restaurant with Chp and Dale- in the Land (?) and the lids wolfed it down. Well, so did DH and I! It is American food, served family-style.
