Your favorite souvenir?

I always look for these items in particular:

Antennae balls. Hang on the rear view mirror.

Keychains. Use them in rotation.

Unique wristwatches that you can only get in the parks. I have one dainty one with a very small mickey on it. One very nice, dressy one with Tinkerbell. And one sporty one - also with Tinkerbell. Wear them all the time. No one would notice the characters on them unless I drew their attention to it.

I also am a sucker for the little stuffed characters, even though I regret the expenditure after the trip.

Sorry..but recent park visits for me have been to WDW...but the next one is at DLR, so I will post here!

I always get pins, a Christmas ornament, and mickey ears!! On my last visit to WDW, I discovered those charms they sell that you can put on your bracelet. As they aren't made of gold, and probably not even silver, the charms are pretty cheap and adorable. I definately plan to get a Disneyland charm while out there.

I will also check out the attraction posters, but I do already have nearly a complete set of the Shag prints that he did for the 50th. They hang in my office and people always seem so enthused by them.

My favorite is this little guy I keep near my living room window. I call him "Green" Mickey because he moves his head back and forth based on solar power. I remembered that someone I knew had one from Hawaii (it wasn't a mickey, looked like a little smiley face thing), but when I saw the Mickey one I knew I had to have it! :thumbsup2

Ohhh Where did you find it?? I have seen the smiley faced guy and a little fishing one, but never a Mickey.

I found him at the Emporium on Main Street in September 2006. I'll take a picture of him if you are interested. The packaging says, "Disney Sunshine Friends Mickey Solar Powered Bobble"

Tons of pins
Kitchen stuff I have the wine stoppers and my favorite is the pizza cutter
clothes
at least one Christmas ornament
Jewlery at least one little thing sometimes more!
DS8 collects the character cars

PLUGirl

Charms for my bracelet- not those weird italian things, proper dangle charms!

Writing Pens, they last along time giving tons of memories, and Key Chains of DL and our favorite charcters, mostly I hang them up on my Disney wall. But I have a 2008 character key chain holding my Cruzer Thumb Drive.

We collect Disney baseballs and buy every new one we can find on our trips. They are so cool and it's kind of like a scavenger hunt to find them. Not every store has them and those that do tuck them away in tiny little out of the way spots. They have baseballs representing the different rides, characters, and years. We love them! Now if we could just find a reasonably priced display case to hold them all.....

I will have to check when I go this weekend..

Thanks!!

I am kind of pathetic when it comes to disney buying - I have a list of things I get EVERY trip

New car accessory (window sticker/decal/topper etc)
new ears for our collection
Christmas Ornament
Earings for me and DD
Hats for DSx2 and DH

Each kid gets a stuffed Mickey or minne themed for that year for their collection and a pin of something significant from that year

New Scrapbook
Photo frame for that year
Magnet for my collection (that is what I buy from EVERY trip to anywhere)

and magnets for each member of my family and DH's family (I always buy them the clip kind with the year on it!)

Last year I bought a keychain that had the castle inbedded inside of it. The only problem is that I didn't get one for myself and every time I see the one I got for my sister I kick myself. So next trip I will be looking for one. Infact, when we went last year, I bought NOTHING for myself or DH  (and it was my first trip too!) I will need to make up for that this year:rotfl2: :lmao:

I love buying a new shirt when I go, so I can wear it around the parks during my visit. My mom likes to find a magnet that has the year on it, so she can cover her fridge in Disney trips. My fiance looks for clothing and hats because he knows I like it when he wears something Disney

The new magnet with the year on it is a great idea....I'm going to steal that one!

I like to get a new hoodie...got a POTC one this trip. Hubbie got a GRUMPY hoddie....because he is grumpy and also a POTC tshirt.
I would love to get a nice mickey watch...one that plays a musical tone...My mom had one when I was growing up...LOVED IT!
always have to get mickey ears...next trip I want to get a plain disneyland hoodie and hat.....DS got a necklace that is something like a pieces of eight...DD7 got a pirate tiara. DD4 got a baby pooh stuffed animal.
I want to get a couple pins and a nice landyard...should I go on hahaha!!
Something edible I like to get is the white choc/grahm cracker covered caramel apple....anyone know what those are called??? popcorn::

My new favorite souvenir is my Grad Ears hat. I got them in time to wear them when I got my graduation pictures taken:

I am a sucker for Disney jewelry! In November, we bought darling stretchy bracelets made completely from Mickey faceted beads. I LOVE it!!!!!:lovestruc :lovestruc

I want one (or maybe three). :rolleyes1

We made the necklaces where you can choose the beads and put our names on them. Last time we made a Minnie and a Nemo one. I'm making some as gifts too this year.

That's a great idea! We can never get anything with DD's name on it - what a fab way to get a personalised souvie! I'll probably make our DNiece's these too as gifts. :goodvibes

I watched a lady trade a pin to a cast member that I wanted so I traded for it... It was a Daisy pin that was part of a set that I didn't want to buy. LOL! So I traded him... Other than that I mostly don't trade because if I bought it, I must have really wanted it.

Pennies are so much fun... especially when they put new ones out... :)

I have bought loads of pins over the years and all of them have been "keepers". I only trade the ones I have managed to buy at a discounted price at the Disney Outlets - and only if I have bought 2 - 1 for me, 1 to trade! ;)

DD6 got into the pressed pennies on our last trip to WDW, so I'm sure we'll be making some of those at DL! :cutie:

OMG love the mickey grad ears! :) .... I don't have a set thing i buy cause i've only been once but next trip i'm gonna buy stuff for my house ( cause were finally moving on from the *sometimes* convenice of being with mom) and i want to decorate the house with lots of disney. Also my oldest son will be old enough so i think i want to get him started on pin collecting. Other then that just clothes and stuff. But i think i want to look into christmas balls too. I think that would be a great memorie!

PINS! My new obsession!! Need to get a nice display case to hang up- right now just using an old bulletin cork board
