I was so confused when I starting actually feeling some sort of affection for Dexter. How was that possible, since this guy feels a terrible compulsion to kill people?? Then, quite suddenly, I was watching an episode and I actually screamed, "kill THAT guy!!" I surprised myself!!
But it really does speak to the writing and to the acting. I was very sad to hear that Michael C. Hall was suffering from Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Then, when I saw him at the Golden Globes (he was so thin and pale!), I was really taken aback. I really hope he's going to be ok.
Exactly. Dexter is sort of a morbid "Robin Hood" so to speak. The fact that the character only kills "bad" people seems to make him more approachable so to speak.
I was very sad to hear of his sickness as well. The Golden Globe pictures made me sad.
