Your favorite "good mood" CD?

I like my John Mayer cd best right now. Dave Matthews is also a good picker-upper. I think I'm about to add Uncle Kracker to that group. We saw him in concert last weekend and he was really good, very upbeat and fun.

It's a combo of tapes and CDs to get me in a good mood:

Jane Wiedlin-"Fur" (The track "Inside A Dream" is one of the most emotional songs the 80s ever produced)

Real Life-"Send Me An Angel '89" (The title track gets me pumped...I don't know why)

The "...About Last Night" soundtrack (Worth it for Sheena Easton's upbeat and uplifting "So Far, So Good")

Here's an odd one: Iron Maiden-"Powerslave" ("Aces High", need I say more? UP THE IRONS!)

Here's an even more odd one: The soundtrack to "The Little Mermaid" (more accurately, the movie and I fast-forward to the song sequences..."Part Of Your World" is my fave from here)

You want another one to add variety? Here ya go: Run-DMC-"Raising Hell" ("Walk This Way", "My Adidas", "It's Tricky", "You Be Illin"...This is a greatest hits compilation in itself)

Any CD or tape by Monty Python's Flying Circus or Eric Idle ("The Rutland Isles" is a great one...The "Gay Animal Song" will have you giggling like a little schoolgirl)

Chaka Khan-"I Feel For You" (From the title track to "Through The Fire" to "Chinatown", this one perks me right up)

The "Ruthless People" soundtrack (Mick Jagger, Billy Joel, Dan Hartman, Kool & The Gang, Bruce Springsteen and the much-loved Luther Vandross are all on the soundtrack)

James Brown-"Gravity" (His best 80s album..."Living In America" makes me proud that I'm a part of this country)

Let's summarize: Jane Wiedlin, Real Life, Iron Maiden, Run-DMC, Chaka Khan, Monty Python, Eric Idle, James Brown and the soundtracks to "The Little Mermaid", "...About Last Night" and "Ruthless People"...

Pretty good variety for a 20-year-old, isn't it?
