Okay everyone...please share with us your utmost favorite sounds that you look forward to hearing while at Disneyworld. I'll start with a few...

The voice that you hear as you get into your train car at Big Thunder Mountain....when he says "this here's the wildest ride in the wilderness!"

The sound of the cannons inside of Pirates of the Caribbean...oh and the voice saying "Dead men tell no tales."

The sound of the doors opening (automatically) when you are on the monorail.

The distant sound of the wolf howling outside of the Haunted Mansion.

The futuristic music that plays as you take the long walk through Space Mountain before getting on the ride.

The screams eminating from The Tower of Terror.

Okay, your turn now. Let's have fun with this thread!

Besides the music they play in the parks (all of which is wonderful), I'd have to say my favorites would be

* The Train whistle at MK
* The chiming coo-coo clock in the courtyard of the Germany Pavillion
* The sound of cameras starting at the beginning of the Great Movie ride.
* Piped-in cricket noices at WL
* The sounds of monorails passing by

The sound of the doors closing on the monorail as the announcer ask you to step clear.

The sound of the monorail wizzing overhead.

The band at the GF and the music at WL.

I also agree with the BTMRR Wildest ride comment.

I would have to say that the minute that I hear the music for ANY parade I get the goosebumps.....what a feeling!!!

Pixieprincess:

Illuminations music, the monorail "guy" saying "Please step away from the doors. Por favore mantengase alejado de les puertos" (forgive spelling, I do not know Spanish!), all of the ambient music in Epcot.

My absolute favorite is the one on the TTA, when they say "Paging Mr.Morrow, Mr. Tom Morrow, your party from Saturn has arrived, please give them a ring".
That's followed closely by Mickey telling me to "Up n' at 'em pal!...Big doin's goin' on!.."
And third is when they sing "Zip a Dee Do Dah" after the drop in Splash Mountain. That always puts the biggest smile on my face.
I'm sure I could think of others, but those were my top three.

Heading out of Space Mtn between the ride and the gift shop, "In the future, packages will be sent to distant worlds through beams of light."

Mickey Mouse wake-up calls!!

"Welcome Home" from the front desk at check-in and every time we re-enter through the main gate of DVC properties!!

Sadly, as it doent exist anymore- the music to Tapestry of Nations. It was my DD5 (3 at the time) first parade and she loved it so much she dubbed it "my parade":worried:

I also agree with that. I love to hear that.

Also When you first sit down on the HM when that voice says "Welcome foolish mortals to the Haunted MAnsion." I just love that

And when you are in the CR and you hear the monorail go by real fast.

Thinking of more.........

I agree with a lot of the ones already said, but one of my favorites hasn't been listed yet:

Jiminy Cricket introducing Spectromagic!

How about the phrase, "If you can't do it to XS, don't do it at all."
from the now defunct Alien Encounter.

I also like the sound of Tinker Bell flying through the Peter Pan ride, the out-of-tune organ in the Haunted Mansion, the talking water fountains in Epcot and the clanking of anti-rollback rachets on the lift hills of the MK coasters.

Sounds are cool, but how about the smells? Remember the orange scent that was in Horizons? All the interesting scent effects in Space Ship Earth. And vanilla. It's subtle, but its everywhere in Disney, even the resorts.

OH, Illuminations music #1, and The "Oasis" music in the AK. And if I need to chooses one from MK, I'd have to pick the music as you head into Adventureland!!!

I love this part. We usually make MK our first stop, and definitely take the monorail. It's at that moment that I know I'M THERE!!!!!!

A lot of people have already said it but i totally agree. The monorail going by overhead, and the voice "Please stand clear of the doors" (i won't attempt the Spanish, because I can hardly spell in English let alone another language). By the end of any trip I can completely recite the entire message at any of the stops (obsessed, maybe). I love the sound of the monorail doors shutting and the sound of the turnstiles as I push through them, and finally enter the best place on earth. The sound of people screaming from Splash Mountain is also awesome!

i love being on the rock n rollercoaster and hearing steve tyler countdown til the ride blasts off. but my fave sound was that music that played right as fantasy in the sky began asking us to believe in tink so we could see her fly.

I don't even have to make it on property to have a favorite Disney sound. The monorail announcement at the airport gives me goose bumps everytime. I know I have arrived!

"Paging Mr.Morrow, Mr. Tom Morrow, your party from Saturn has arrived, please give them a ring".
Dh and I love that, we know we are in the world when we hear it!

Also:
The whistling pirates, trying to get the dog's attention in POC
The sound of the cannons on POC
Off Kilter performance in EPCOT
The monorail and the keep hands clear message
The sounds of the WL, crickets, western music

What a fun thread!

The music from the bushes as I walk to the International Gateway in the early morning before the park opens. I love that feeling!!!
