Your Favorite Disney Sounds

I like

-the sounds of the laser guns in Buzz Lightyear
-The "great big beautiful tomorrow" on the Carousel of Progress
-"Now entering Space Mountain" from the Transit Authority in Tomorrowland
- "it's a small world"
-the music played on the official Disney World website

Heck I love it ALL!!!!!!!!

:bounce:

My ultimate favorite sound of Disney is the horn of the Magic and the Wonder. Brings tears and a smile to my face every time I hear it. I also love the announcement made by the pilot, welcoming me to Orlando. I have to hear "a pirates life for me" from POTC and all the music in Splash Mountain. I have not seen Wishes yet, but I love to hear the "Imagination" song that is played first thing during Fantasmic, but I am dying to see Wishes.

I can't believe no one has mentioned this one yet! Alas, it is no more (in English, anyway).

"Zip a dee do dah, tip for today"

One of my other favorites, Tapestry of Dreams, isn't around anymore either!

I also love the narration to Spaceship Earth. My last trip in Feb. was my first time back in 10 years, and I was surprised to hear Jeremy Irons instead of Walter Cronkite, but I think I enjoyed it even more.

Another favorite is not from the parks, but from one of the WDW commercials they used to run. It was the one with the little girl struggling with her Cinderella costume, and then it shows her at the park running into Cindy's arms. The announcer says, "To a four year old girl, it's not magic, it's real." My DD had just turned five and we were planning her first trip to WDW when that was running, and I cried every time I heard that line! It still makes me teary to think about it!

I like everything mentioned as well! But the one that stirs the most childhood memories for me, is the Electrical Water Pagaent music. Makes me think of my earlier days when, as kids, my brothers, sisters and I would go to the Bay Lake shore at FtW and watch. Of course, the same music also reminds me of the long gone Main Street Electrical Parade!

Ahhhhh. Good times. Good times!

Karibeth, I was just getting ready to type it! We were just there and missed SO MUCH the "Zip a Dee Doo Dah Tip for Today!" boo hoo!!!! :(

We love the little birds singing from their birdhouses in the Splash Mountain. That is our favorite part.

of course, the monorail announcement and the People Mover as well.

How about "There's a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow . . . shining at the end of every day . . . " LOVE THAT SONG! People hate to sit by us in CoP because we sing it at the top of our lungs.

We also love the car racing sound coming from the Tomorrowland Speedway. And the music on Main Street as you are walking in. . . oh man!

And boy do I miss "Ladies and Gentlemen Boy and Girls, the Magic Kingdom proudly presents our spectaculor nighttime festival pageant of . . .. . . . the MainStreet Electrical Parade!!!"

And also how about it's time to go DEEPER into the jungle and seeing the backside of water on the jungle cruise. . .

I gotta stop - I'm gettin' all choked up.

I absolutly love walking through the castle and hearing "When You Wish Upon a Star" sung by Jimmny Cricket at DL. I am so looking forward to hearing this at WDW. (I can't remember if they have that there?)

I get teary eyed and goosebumps everytime I walk through and hear it.

***FYI***
LIVE365.com you can listen to cool WDW soundtracks and other sounds from the rides and things. They have many different disney channels. TourguideMikes has the whole Monorail track on it. Its free to sigh up or you can pay for ad free listening.

I'm listening right now to the Horizons track....no wait it just ended now its the Splash Mountain soundtrack!!!.....

I know someone was looking for these sounds this site http://www.wdisneyw.co.uk/sounds.html has a whole bunch like they have every stop on the monorail.

It make me want to be there right now!

But I always wanna be there ;)

But this one is my favorite http://www.wdw-photos.com/mansionwel.wav

But some of them are like not real sounds there just a tune to a song on a ride but most of them are real and I just always love to hear them over and over and over agian.. Man I wish I could be there rihgt now .... sigh.... 2 more years hopefully :teeth:

Oh yes, and everyone's favorite saying http://www.wdw-photos.com/monorail.wav ::yes::

"Is this haunted room ACTUALLY STRETCHING?"

"Hurry baaaack. Hurry BAAAACK. Don't forget to bring your death certificate."

A roomful of people having to sing "Marching along, we're adventurers" for the fifth time in one night.

"You are not the first to pass this way."

"Where do you think you are, Disney World?"

That loopy music that plays at the mad tea party ride

"It's a salute to all nations but mostly America."

The critters on Splash Mountain singing "How do you do? Pretty good, show us your bone" (well, that's what it sounds like).

Background music in the Animal Kingdom Lodge lobby.

The "Circle of Life" in Festival of the Lion King.

The sounds I could do without:

"Please stay seated. Your time vehicle is rotating backwards for your return to earth."

"It rained.... and rained....and rained... and rained..."

"It's a small world after all"

"Zip a dee do dah, tip for today"

I'm such a fan of that, when I was in WDW in December, I turned on the Spanidh Channel just to get that (besides, I find that new "Samantha Brown wanna-be" annoying). It's the funniest thing; they talk along in Spanish (which I only a little understand), then the entire phrase, "Zip a dee do dah, tip for the day" is sung in English. I'd expected the part "tip for the day" to be in Spanish, but it wasn't. Boy, that helped my need for the tune!

Simba's Mom,

I'm so glad you told me that the song is still in English! Now I won't have to miss it so much. When we were there in Feb. we had the TV on the resort channel almost all the time, and I loved those commercials! The song came to remind me of the whole vacation, and I would listen to the Disney channels on Live 365 for hours, just waiting to hear it again. I was so sad to find out they've changed it; I was really looking forward to hearing it again on our next trip. When I read people had found it on the Spanish channel, I just figured the whole thing would be in Spanish. Thanks for letting me know it's not!

"Dead men tell no tales!"...... is our absolute favorite sound in all of the World!

Pirates of the Carribean:

-The whistling of the pirate in the jail cell
-The sound of the cannonballs splashing
-Yo-ho, Yo-ho, a pirate's life for me

TTA:

-Paging Mr. Morrow, Mr. Tom Morrow....

Splash Mountain:

-The sound of the logs hitting the water at the bottom of the
big drop

...can't hardly wait...just a few more weeks!

I know this has probably been already posted, but any thing from the Lion King gets me all teary eyed.

I have to put my vote with the monorail guy's announcement. It's so nice, polite, and pleasant. I've always thought the New York subway system should hire him. I can hear it now... "Next Stop, 42nd Street - Times Square". It would be like going to disneyworld everyday.

-Michael

For TDC Nala,I laughed so hard with that one. I think they are singing "Pretty good, sure as you're born".

I agree with the poster who mentioned the smells of WDW. I have very fond memories of the smell on the Journey to Imagination attraction at Epcot. It was lavender, I think. That was from our honeymoon trip in '97 and I haven't ridden since the rehab. Can't wait to check it out again on our next trip. 2 days!! As for sound, I love the music you hear while walking around in FW, Epcot. 2nd would be the screams at ToT!!

Terri

Man, I laughed when I read this comment. Snap!

And to follow it up.

Warning. Unauthorised intruder. Warning.
Meanwhile back at the base the precious cargo has already been received by the ..... seems like the lab retriever.

By the way, if you hear a girl woofing at the end of this statement it is probably my sister. She just can't help herself.
