My husband was a SeaBee, Construction Mechanic to be exact in the navy, before he was injured. He is the one who originally registered on the board, but I have hijacked it.

My name is Nicole, and I run a photography studio in Maine, as well as sell Lia Sophia jewelry part time. We took our camper down to the fort for the first time in October 07, and fell in love. We had always stayed at the SOG, but now all we talk about is the fort. We will be returning in Oct. and can't wait. Thanks guys for being the best place to get info!

You all sound like a fun group... A lot like my racing forums...I'm heading back to FW (3rd time) this March so I figured I'd hang out here to get some more ideas.

About the name... My first name is Jim, and I've raced something since I was 15. I crewed on a late model for about 10 years until we adopted my DS10. I've been nascar-j since my first e-mail address years ago and have kept it on all the forums I'm on. (mostly racing and camping forums)

And I'm a nurse but in administration now. I manage performance improvement for perioperative services for a VERY large midwestern hospital.

NO. I haven't been able to do hardly anything because this is a big secret for the kids. DH and I have to do EVERYTHING tonight. Now I'm freaking out because they're calling for 2-4 inches of snow tomorrow afternoon....when we plan on leaving. ACK!!!!! DH is going to see if he can get the entire day off (he was supposed to work 7am-1pm tomorrow) and we'll leave in the morning and try to beat the snow.

I am a police officer in PA and have used ram101 or ram101a signing in to just about everything...including the xbox! we have 6 kids from 20 to 4 yrs old. Been to WDW and the fort one time and we were hooked. Can't wait to go back. I have been called many names but, Roger is the one I like (2nd) best! Daddy is my favorite!!

Hi there, another one here who lurks more than she types. I also highjacked DH's name. He is a chemical lab superviser, thus the name testtubes which he has used for years. I am a retired school teacher who is really enjoying life right now. I also enjoy reading all about Fort Wilderness and have been there in 1985, 1987, 1992, 1997, 2001, and 2005. Next trip planned for Dec. 2008. (The trips can come more often now that the kids are grown!) Oh yes, we live in southwest Louisiana and are about a 12 hr. drive from the fort. My name is Karen, and now that I'm more than just a lurker it feels good to be "out."

LOL! Brave lady, to admit that. I, too, have been called a few choice names in my lifetime. Although I'm know as Praline (cuz I'm sweet and nuts), for the last few years I've taken my motto from Steel Magnolias......"I'm not as sweet as I used to be".

We love Disney and camping. We have a popup camper, but we did the tent thing for many years and may make our kids stay in a tent sometime to teach them how things were in the old days. Or just to make them suffer.

My sisters and I had names that were spelled strangely so our kids all have traditional names and spelling. I'm sure my kids will give their kids different names because they think theirs were "boring". And so it goes.

I don't know how how you are Lisa, but I am 35. When I was in school Shannon, Rebecca, Lisa, Jennifer and Michelle were the most popular names.

As for tent camping....whenever we are set up for at least a week somewhere, we bring the tent and the kids sleep out there. It's good for everyone to have their own space. And Chad and I get the motorhome all to ourselves

You guys must be fairly close to us. We're also hearing about 2-4 inches but at least it will come later in the afternoon. Also, the more east and south you go, the less it will be.

LOL, nothing special to say about my screenname, it's just my every day name, lol. I've been on DIS almost since day 1 and when i signed up, i thought it said NAME, meaning your real name. I would love to have something clever but don't want to start the post count all over, lol.
anyways, DH and i are semi-retired. I'm late 40s, he's early 50s and we both work part time at Petsmart. I am in grooming, he is in pet products. It's just something so we don't get bored and gives us extra money for the fort trips and those in between trips that i can't seem to resist when a friend asks me to go along!
This was a nice idea to have a meet n greet on the boards!

Tori's middle name doesnt rhyme because she was stillborn for the first 3.5 minutes of her now extremely normal, smart-alek, pre-teen life....my wife swears god pulled her back to heaven for a few minutes to tell her how to manipulate me correctly, because she can work me like no one on this planet.
