Your All-Time Favorite DCL Food Item

Carmelized onion cheesecake? Sounds bizarre. Where do you get it from?
It was an appetizer on the Dream when it launched and sadly it didn't last long because I think the name scared people away. It was really more like a quiche than a cheesecake but it was still really good. My wife isn't a big seafood/shrimp person but even she loved it.

And chocolate is chocolate and pasta is pasta like you can buy at Walmart. But, I sure do enjoy the heck out of the shrimp. We don't buy or cook any at home, any size, so I guess that is why I love them. Can't wait.
Yes, but they were billed as Giant Shrimp when they were......well......kind of shrimpy Shrimp.

1. Mac & Cheese from the buffet because I would eat that all day every day if they served it.
2. I like the escargot but that's just me.
3. Maybe the duck? I don't know though I'm a sucker for most of the food on the cruise.

Honestly, I think it has to do with the fact that we live in San Diego, so we have access to every type of food and its all really good and authentic. I also travel for a living, so I have had the opportunity to dine a lot of really awesome places. If we lived in a small town, I am sure I would think the DCL food was much more impressive, but I have a lot to compare it to...so...its not the best in my opinion.

I saw a description once (I think here on disboards) of the MDR food as banquet food. That fits perfectly. It's good banquet food, but it's still banquet food. It has to be. They're feeding everyone in all 3 MDRs at once.

The value in Palo and Remy is that you're in a cook-to-order restaurant.

Desserts: Grand Marnier Souffle, Banana Creme Brulee, banana foster sundae
Dinner: Ginger-Teriyaki beef, Prime Rib, Chateaubriand Filet Steak... Basically any of the beef they served on board I loved
Breakfast: hash browns at the buffet, and the waffle sandwich at the sit-down breakfast
Palo: Strawberry soup (brunch), chicken parm (brunch), Chocolate Souffle (dinner), beef tenderloin (dinner), and the Chianti braised beef ravioli (old Palo Menu)

DW - Butternut Squash soup in AP
Me - Ribeye steak on the grill at CC-SB

Although not in my top 3, the burger that we got several times going to whatever sit-down was open (most recently Triton's on the Wonder) for lunch was surprisingly good. And the steak sandwich there as well.

I know this one is hit or miss, but do they still have the popcorn soup? I can't remember where that was...Animator's?

The sea bass in Enchanted Garden is probably one of the best things I've ever eaten. I don't know how they cook the fish so perfectly, it's so so good.

Can you tell me, Where were these? What restaurant, cruise? Ship?
Local specialty grocery store carries them in December and January for holiday meals.
However, there are several companies online that sell them. But be prepared to pay $42.50 a pound. A lot more than the $9.99 Jumbo Shrimp, and the $4.99 that salad shrimp are currently going for in this week's sale flyer.
